Firstly, I want to say that Lois is such a sweet lady. Upon entering the establishment, she greeted me and did not mind answering questions and explaining all of the dessert options that she offers. The pies were great! I am very picky about pecan pie; however, Lois' recipe did not disappoint. I would be apt to buying whole pies from her around the holidays or during any group dinners that I attend. Lois' spirit alone is enough for me to return here. She insisted on giving me slices of pie for free as a taste test, a gesture that I will never forget. Please patronize this place, y'all. You won't regret it.

Humble pie is a perfect alternative to grocery store bakery goods. They are located just across the parking lot from the Humble post office. Humble Pie is a bakery and only a bakery. Although they do sell some sandwiches, it's obvious that their focus is on making great pies. Honestly speaking I did not know they were there until I saw a review in Yelp. I tried the pecan and buttermilk pies. They were both big - 9 inches in diameter and delicious. These are mostly pies made to order or made just hours before you pick up. They do mostly email, text and call in business. Both pies were rich and not overly sweet. They were delicious and flavorful and thoroughly different than what you would get in the grocery stores. Expect to pay anywhere from $16-$20 for a pie.

This place has the best pies I've ever had! I love you Grandma, but this place has you beat. I found this place during quarantine, making it my COVID silver lining. I've had the pecan, key lime, lemon cream, and strawberry cream; every single one was ridiculously delicious. And I wear the 10 pounds I've gained from this place proudly!! If you haven't had a chance to try this place, you are missing out. If you read this review, and you STILL aren't considering stopping by to get a pie or two, then you need to speak to a professional about the poor decisions you make in life. Humble Pies is the gold standard for service and flavor, and I can't believe it took me this long to find them. But I'm glad I did!!

All I wanted for Mother's Day was a delicious pie. Humble Pies did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the whipped cream topping for the simple fact that it was not too sweet. My husband picked up and said the owners were welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try another--I'm thinking chocolate.

I bought 3 pies. A sweet potato, coconut cream pie, and an apple crumble. All three were delicious and I would order each one again.

My beloved Boomtown RIP…read more This pains me to write. Different is certainly not always better, especially when what you had was already working. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.

Limited street parking as well as valet available. Not sure what is the fee for valet. After getting lucky with a corner street parking we made our way inside. Place is spacious and clean. Seating was spacious and comfortable. Mimosas were great! Had a good refreshing taste. Strawberry French toast was average. Hash brown was well seasoned, eggs were perfect. Bacon was crispy as requested and overall great meal! Clocktower coffee was warm and provided a smooth comfort.

It looked like a busy morning for them, but the service moved at a reasonable pace--neither exceptionally fast nor particularly slow. My BF and I tried the Montauk Mint Collection: Mint Coconut Cream Cold Brew. Unfortunately, it landed pretty squarely in the middle for both of us. The drink had a strange graininess, and it was sweeter than I'd prefer. My BF summed it up as, "too much mint, not enough coffee." I wouldn't say it was bad, but I also can't say it was particularly great. That being said, the cold brew itself was definitely doing its job. The coffee was pretty potent, and after a few sips, I could actually feel my heart rate pick up a bit. There was also more ice than I personally prefer, although the drink didn't taste diluted, so I can understand the icy contribution. Update: The coffee gave me a stomachache a short while later. Maybe it was the dairy since I'm mildly lactose intolerant, but I drink milk pretty regularly despite that, so I'm completely unsure what caused it. Maybe the caffeine was just too strong for me--either way, my stomach was not a fan. At $7 for such a small cup, I didn't feel like the experience justified the price. We wouldn't order this particular drink again. Overall, pretty mid-tier for us.
