One of my FAVORITE fucking places EVERYONE! I've been a regular since they first opened prior to the pandemic. This place is the perfect student hangout (yes, you can charge your laptop). They are great for friend, family, and duo dates--there is something for everyone! We are regulars & love the $5 carafe nights on Sunday's-- our go-to!! No matter what food item we order it always is made with love & spectacular in preparation. The service is amazing & we love that many recognize the familiar faces--a community staple nonetheless!!

Such a lovely place to enjoy a coffee a very relaxing places to study or work. Everything was clean, the coffee tasted great and the service was very friendly. I had a really nice time here with my friends.

While my dad was visiting, we came to Common Bond for coffee along with some sweet treats! All of the desserts were stunning to lookout and didn't even seem real to some extent. We ordered a variety of deserts and shared them. The lemon was unusual and not a lemon tart as we were expecting which was a bit disappointing. While beautiful, I wouldn't order it again. The almond croissant was by far my favorite with the fruit tart being a runner up. The cappuccinos were good and tasted as you would expect. All in all, this was a great experience with tasty desserts - I'll visit again for sure!

Everything looks delicious and beautiful! Customer service is awesome but the drink and cookie I got was a disappointment! Double chocolate cookie was dry, and very hard!!! It would just break apart in small pieces of how dry and hitting table with it sounds hard!!! I expected chewy delicious chubby cookie but nope!! The chai latte was plain, no flavor!! Just milky!! The pictures are great but taste!?? Needs major improvements

This used to be a really nice go to anytime i visited family in The Heights, but recently both service, organization, food quality and cleanliness are really downhill. A very clear order was both delayed and wrong, with obvious lack of competency behind the register. Some of our party were waiting on beverages quite a while, only after asking finding out they were self serve. Icemaker was broken, and asking for ice from the kitchen brought attitude. After some of our party got up we realized we were seated on a table where the cushions were heavy with mold - not very nice or safe for our 10month old or our seniors. So - not a return anytime soon. Management needs to get revamped.

When we first arrived, I was kind of bummed to learn that breakfast ends at 11 on weekdays. I wish it was extended longer - but that's okay. The pumpkin cream cold brew was underwhelming. The coffee was good, but the cold foam had little pumpkin flavor. The cup was also not even filled to the top. The chocolate croissant was good, and my friend's flatbread was very delicious. Overall, a little underwhelming and not worth the price, despite friendly staff and a nice ambiance.

I came here with a group of girls on a Saturday at 10am. There is plenty of free parking which is always a plus. When you walk in, you have to order at the counter which gives you an opportunity to look at all the delicious pastries they have available. They will then bring your food order to the table. There is a good amount of tables but I can see how it can quickly fill up if you were to go during their peak hours. I had their birthday themed latte which was okay but their Quesadilla Chilaquiles were AMAZING! I do wish they had been hotter though. I also had a Nutella croissant to-go and it was pretty good! I would definitely come back!

If you get the app sometimes they give you a free drip coffee or latte. Used my free latte today!

I come here regularly because it's close to our house but I haven't updated my review in four years. The pastries are always solid. The morning bun is delicious and the croissants are perfectly made, all of them. The coffee is on the better end of okay and isn't really my favorite. I have the app and they offered me a free latte so today I went and got an ice lavender latte and you know what? They've stepped it up because this coffee was delicious and enjoyable. Much appreciated for a long day of studying.

I've heard so many good things about common bond but after trying it for the first time today I can honestly say I would never come back here. Not only were the pastries expensive but they just did not taste good. Service was fine. Location was clean but other than that I think this place was mediocre.

Best shrimp and grits in Houston! Fast casual concept with bakery also Salad and sandwich combo okay - there were 3 salad choices but I couldn't understand the choices from the front person - I could only hear green salad and pasta salad. It would be helpful to have the options listed on the paper menu. The beef Sammie was overwhelming with too much sauce or mayo. I ordered side fries and that was good. I didn't understand the small medium and large tea sizes which the bartender puts for you in a plastic cup/ the tea sorta tastes weird - it has a lot of sugar. Not sure why they don't give you self service when they have the coffee like that. Also having different teas like regular would be nice. The indoor and outdoor seating was comfy and ample, it's just the music that bothered me. There was some loud dance music overhead and I sat by the bar area and I believe they were playing some other music in the kitchen or bar area, so it was very jarring and also noisy and not good ambiance for me. The oatmeal pie was delicious and highly recommended! The to go shrimp and grits had 7 large shrimps and tasty sauce. I would say that this was hit or miss depending on what you order and there are some major areas to improve.

Food is fine, but definitely overpriced. Drinks are pretty awful. The chai is watered down and barely tastes like anything.

The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. Because of that experience, I chose not to patronize the this location but may try another location one day.

The best black sesame latte in Houston…read more I'm always looking for black sesame flavored drinks ever since I tried it in Seattle, so I was excited that TwoTone had it. The nuttiness of the sesame goes SOOO well with the espresso taste and it's a good creaminess too. I also like the texture of the bits of sesame seeds in the drink. The aesthetic of the cafe is modern with street-style flairs, it's a really cool space. I also love that there are Filipino flavors on the menu like ube and pandan. Most workers are super nice and say your name like they know you. They're also super attentive to ensure that everything with your order is perfect. Jonah was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we got a menu while in line! The weekdays seem to be better for wait-time, with little to no wait. The weekends however are packed and usually have lines. If you're not a line person, I would definitely come on a weekday. TwoTone is probably the best specialty coffee you can get in Houston, especially in terms of Asian flavors and creaminess. If it was closer to inner Houston, I would probably come here everyday.

The doctor's office actually recommended this cafe the last time that I came to see them. My initial impression was great. They have very comfortable chairs and large tables for people to do whatever they need to get done. I sat down with the matcha latte that came with their authentic house honey matcha. I was handed an actual ceramic coffee mug, not some paper cup that they chain coffee stores give you. I killed some time and it was a decent experience without the crazy crowds of customers and super loud music that always gets on my nerves. My beloved Boomtown RIP…read more This pains me to write. Different is certainly not always better, especially when what you had was already working. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.
