    Berry Fruit Tart

While my dad was visiting, we came to Common Bond for coffee along with some sweet treats! All of the desserts were stunning to lookout and didn't even seem real to some extent. We ordered a variety of deserts and shared them. The lemon was unusual and not a lemon tart as we were expecting which was a bit disappointing. While beautiful, I wouldn't order it again. The almond croissant was by far my favorite with the fruit tart being a runner up. The cappuccinos were good and tasted as you would expect. All in all, this was a great experience with tasty desserts - I'll visit again for sure!

Everything looks delicious and beautiful! Customer service is awesome but the drink and cookie I got was a disappointment! Double chocolate cookie was dry, and very hard!!! It would just break apart in small pieces of how dry and hitting table with it sounds hard!!! I expected chewy delicious chubby cookie but nope!! The chai latte was plain, no flavor!! Just milky!! The pictures are great but taste!?? Needs major improvements

great place to host a shower!! Food awesome!! Staff awesome!! Service awesome!! Celebrate!

This used to be a really nice go to anytime i visited family in The Heights, but recently both service, organization, food quality and cleanliness are really downhill. A very clear order was both delayed and wrong, with obvious lack of competency behind the register. Some of our party were waiting on beverages quite a while, only after asking finding out they were self serve. Icemaker was broken, and asking for ice from the kitchen brought attitude. After some of our party got up we realized we were seated on a table where the cushions were heavy with mold - not very nice or safe for our 10month old or our seniors. So - not a return anytime soon. Management needs to get revamped.

When we first arrived, I was kind of bummed to learn that breakfast ends at 11 on weekdays. I wish it was extended longer - but that's okay. The pumpkin cream cold brew was underwhelming. The coffee was good, but the cold foam had little pumpkin flavor. The cup was also not even filled to the top. The chocolate croissant was good, and my friend's flatbread was very delicious. Overall, a little underwhelming and not worth the price, despite friendly staff and a nice ambiance.

I came here with a group of girls on a Saturday at 10am. There is plenty of free parking which is always a plus. When you walk in, you have to order at the counter which gives you an opportunity to look at all the delicious pastries they have available. They will then bring your food order to the table. There is a good amount of tables but I can see how it can quickly fill up if you were to go during their peak hours. I had their birthday themed latte which was okay but their Quesadilla Chilaquiles were AMAZING! I do wish they had been hotter though. I also had a Nutella croissant to-go and it was pretty good! I would definitely come back!

If you get the app sometimes they give you a free drip coffee or latte. Used my free latte today!

I come here regularly because it's close to our house but I haven't updated my review in four years. The pastries are always solid. The morning bun is delicious and the croissants are perfectly made, all of them. The coffee is on the better end of okay and isn't really my favorite. I have the app and they offered me a free latte so today I went and got an ice lavender latte and you know what? They've stepped it up because this coffee was delicious and enjoyable. Much appreciated for a long day of studying.

I've heard so many good things about common bond but after trying it for the first time today I can honestly say I would never come back here. Not only were the pastries expensive but they just did not taste good. Service was fine. Location was clean but other than that I think this place was mediocre.

Best shrimp and grits in Houston! Fast casual concept with bakery also Salad and sandwich combo okay - there were 3 salad choices but I couldn't understand the choices from the front person - I could only hear green salad and pasta salad. It would be helpful to have the options listed on the paper menu. The beef Sammie was overwhelming with too much sauce or mayo. I ordered side fries and that was good. I didn't understand the small medium and large tea sizes which the bartender puts for you in a plastic cup/ the tea sorta tastes weird - it has a lot of sugar. Not sure why they don't give you self service when they have the coffee like that. Also having different teas like regular would be nice. The indoor and outdoor seating was comfy and ample, it's just the music that bothered me. There was some loud dance music overhead and I sat by the bar area and I believe they were playing some other music in the kitchen or bar area, so it was very jarring and also noisy and not good ambiance for me. The oatmeal pie was delicious and highly recommended! The to go shrimp and grits had 7 large shrimps and tasty sauce. I would say that this was hit or miss depending on what you order and there are some major areas to improve.

I normally really like Common Bond and have over the years, but I do feel that the quality of the food has lessened after the expansion of the franchise. I got the Southwestern Salmon Salad with the dressing on the side. It was overall OK; the fish was excellent, but everything else I found pretty lacking. The pickled onions gave a nice snap. The roasted corn and the beans were dry and cold - I don't know if the corn being cold was intentional, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped. The service was nice and our food came out on time. We came in the later-ish evening on a Monday, so the atmosphere was pretty quiet. The patio is a good spot to sit if it's not too windy! I think it might've just been a one-off dish or something. Normally I get the Burrata Sandwich with the Brussel Sprouts which are usually amazing, so I'd definitely recommend those.

I also heard great things about the mango mochi so we couldn't leave without those. Thankfully they still had some in stock. I heard they sell out quickly especially on weekends. Those also lived up to its hype. SO YUMMY! Tastes so fresh including the mangoes. My kiddo who LOVES mango anything loved them so much! My husband also got 2 savory pastries (I forgot what they were called and I forgot to take a picture) and those were yummy too. Perfectly flakey crust just like the egg tarts. We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. I believe Instagram helped many others discover this business recently, as it was pretty packed and there was a line, but this gave us ample opportunity to peruse the menu and pastry display. Ultimately, we opted for the: Cambodian iced coffee (kayfe dahkoh) made with sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk - tasted very similar but weaker than Vietnamese coffee. As I'm Viet and have never had Cambodian coffee, this was my only frame of reference, and I didn't love it. The drinks itself are simple, reasonably priced on the cheaper side. Not sweet at all so ask if you want it to be sweeten. Quality and perfect desserts. Just semi-sweet so if you have a crazy sweet tooth, this is not your bakery. Again, prices are extremely reasonable and I see lots of locals who enjoy coming here. Prices are actually on the lower side of what I see throughout Houston. Passionfruit tart was my favorite, if you need someone to tell you what to try.
