This place was such a find. I was visiting the area and the photos online looked good so we headed over (minors allowed). Don't let the bowling alley front sway you; the back patio is spacious and has a really great vibe. They have central heating (not individual stand up heaters) that warms the patio nicely when it is cold out. They also had a great mix of music playing. Our server Ryan could not have been nicer; just a cool guy and great server. We were checked on regularly to make sure we were comfortable with the temp and music volume. The food was good. Every spoonful of clam chowder was overflowing with ingredients and was delicious (it wasn't just soup with a few clams). Def check this place out. read more

Today I decided to try their Combo Flatbread- Pepperoni, Sausage, Black Olives, Green Peppers and Mushrooms. It was delicious! Really liked the vibe and place was very well kept and TV's had some sports and entertainment so that was cool. Went for lunch and hard cider. Cider was great but the crispy chicken anything needed to be fried a wee bit longer. Same goes for the tater tots. I got the crispy chicken wrap and it was ok. My fiancé got the taco salad with chicken and he said the same. Our friends got the Crispy chicken salad and they said the same. Chicken needed more time all around. Friendly and attentive staff. The wide menu has something for everyone, from kids to munchies to even a little something for our friends trying to stick to their new years resolutions. Our favorites are their pizzas, nachos and any one of their sandwiches. Their beer is always ice cold, and they love to mix up fun new drinks. The staff is always incredible and Jessie Ransome always cooks up something special for us and leaves us in stitches. Been coming here since I was a kid, and the pub has changed so much over the passed 10 years FOR THE BETTER! The outdoor seating area is amazing. North Bend is especially windy in the afternoon/early evening but you can still enjoy a nice meal outdoors here. The outdoor area is also the home for many events (baby showers, Halloween parties, retirement parties etc) making it a great place to entertain. Awesome food, sauces and a wide variety of drinks including a full bar. One of the best places to eat in the Bay Area. We always love going to the Back Alley. We choose to go there to watch the Duck game and was have trouble getting it. Mark went above and beyond to make sure we could watch it. Brought us a laptop at the table. Greatly appreciated. Also want to recognize Shayla. She is the sweetest and works so hard. We ended up sitting out on the amazing heated deck to watch the game with others. Shayla was taking care of a private party, but stopped in to check with us and the other tables out on the deck. I had the chowder and chicken tenders. The chowder was good It had a large amount of clams in it I wished it was a little bit hotter. The tenders was okay .I wish they was deep fried . I'm not sure if they were cooked any oven or the air fryer they were a little bit pink in the middle. The camp sauce was really good. My friend had chowder and half of an Italian sandwich. In fact, for a bowling alley they have an impressive selection of beers on tap. However, do not consider this place a destination (as I mistakenly did). I had hoped to sling the proverbial excrement with some locals while I was in town, but there aren't even stools at the bar -- so instead I found myself seated alone at a table across from a bunch of kids eating pizza.
