What an excellent experience!!! I texted Max for an estimate to detail my 2012 Honda CRV. Within minutes he called me & arranged a day to come to my house. HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Max was very professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. His work was superb, detail-oriented and his price was reasonable. My 2003 truck had been parked in my driveway, in the redwoods, for 9 months. There was a great deal of mildew inside and out, plus some old coffee stains on the carpet. The carpet now looks new again, coffee stains are gone! So is the mildew. He advised me the mildew could leave stains on the seat belts, but very few were left. The exterior paint is 17 years old and I chose not to have it buffed to a sheen like a fancy showy sports car. However, Max made it look smooth, glossy and shiny with its new wax job. Perfect for a 4 door family truck. I was impressed by how fast and expertly he worked. I will definitely hire this company again and I will tell all my friends to call Humboldt Mobile Detailing when they need their vehicles spiffed to perfection! read more

Truly the BEST auto detailing I've ever seen! Max did a stellar job, and worked so hard since he was all alone detailing my dad's F-150 truck inside and out--he even came to do the job on a holiday!! My dad received the detailing as a gift (what do you get a man who already has everything?), and when Max presented the truck after he was all done with the job, my dad was so impressed he was stunned. This is THE best detail place in Eureka/Arcata. My minivan was disgusting from kids and general roadtrip mess. It is now perfect. Its cleaner and nicer than when I bought it from the dealership!! This mobile detail team is fast, professional and their prices are better than anyone else. My 2012 Toyota Matrix was getting pretty gross, after driving it for work and for countless road trips all over the West Coast, so I took it to Max's shop to get the interior detailed. I live pretty close, so didn't take advantage of their mobile service. I have to say, it looks nearly brand new on the inside, despite all the dirt and grime I'd accumulated over the years. Overall, Max did an excellent job - he even washed the exterior. They got the tape residue off of the back window, vacuumed and shampooed every single square inch of the carpet and upholstery, and cleaned and polished every surface til it shone. Only thing missed was the glove compartment, but it wasn't a big deal. There is a lingering scent of upholstery shampoo, but it's not unpleasant. I was impressed that they got almost every stain out of the upholstery. I'm stoked on my spotless car, and I highly recommend Max and Humboldt Mobile Detailing to anyone in Humboldt County. They arrived at my home promptly at the time agreed and spent over 6 hours doing the best and most extensive auto detailing job on my car that I have ever seen. The 2 young men were dressed in uniform and had signage on their vehicle, which was encouraging to me. Each time I checked on them through the window, both were working non-stop the entire time. I called for an appointment, wanting them to come to my house, since they are a mobile detailing business. I was told their automobile was currently immobile! So I agreed to go to their home shop. Not convenient, but I did agree. Made the appointment for a Monday. This was a few months back; just getting around to doing some reviews because of time off. Max texted me the Friday before to confirm. I had a ride set up. Monday morning came. Max called me and said that his boss (apparently at his REAL job) had called him in to work and he had to cancel my appointment, 30 minutes before I was supposed to be there. I explained that my ride was on his way and that I'd taken the morning off for the appointment. He said he was sorry. I said, "Sorry doesn't cut it." He agreed that just saying sorry wasn't good enough. I said, "You need to make this right. You think about it and I'll talk to you later. Right now, I have to get off the phone and try to catch my ride before he leaves his house." Max seemed to understand why I was upset. I thought I heard in his voice a strain of conscience and remorse. I truly thought I would get a call from him later, perhaps offering a discount to make up for the last-minute cancellation, perhaps an extra service thrown in for free for the inconvenience of having to reschedule. Apparently I am a bad judge of character, because I never heard from Max again. Max is now learning a lesson that could have been avoided had he stepped up and been the decent businessman I mistakenly credited him with being. I would not recommend this business to anyone. They could cancel your appointment at the last minute as well, offering you nothing more than a hollow apology. They may do a fantastic job, as evidenced by the other reviews, but you may not actually get the chance to find that out, even if you try. Bad business, Max, very bad business. read more
