Someone found this and we were all about it. First off, it's a boat y'all. A fun getaway and on a boat, win win. I've stayed on cruises ships before but this was a first for our own. It's docked in Ventura harbor but not accessible to the open water. Upon checking in, which we had contact with the the hostess, wonderful lady in charge. We asked about an early check in but wasn't for sure if that could work out. Either way, we spent the morning on Main Street for brunch and then received a text offering us a check in a little early. Which was nice. Directions was given via text explaining where to park. She even guided us to the lot that would best be suited and nearby where there boat would be. Parking pass was given as well. Once there, she greeted us and walked us to the boat. It's docked right in the heart of the Ventura harbor where restaurants, shops are accessible right outside our door. Before getting on, of course mask was worn. She asked that only one of us would accompany her on so she can show them around the boat. She guided them through the ins and out of the boat. What to do and not to do and so on. Once we were on, the whole experience was pretty exciting. Upon entering the boat from the side and back. There's a seating area with a picnic table with umbrella. Also two chairs, where the driver of the boat and passenger would sit. Once in, you go down a couple of steps and your right in the living room/dining room. Living area has a built in sofa that could probably sleep a person. There's also a dining table with chairs and flat screen accompanied with dvd. There's also a kitchen a couple of steps down. Full fridge, sink, microwave, stove, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and so on. There's a powder room across from the kitchen. One side of the boat sleeps 2. Not full bed but bunk style minus the bunk bed. That's at the front of the boat. To the rear is where the main room is. From there, it sleeps 3. The main bed, a full size and an additional twin size to the opposite. It's also where the main restroom with shower is located. As it's right in the harbor, right outside is quite busy. There's a boat and kayak rental that's in-front of the boat. It didn't bother us. It was nice sitting on the deck and people watching. The kayakers going by and just enjoying the marina. The deck was perfect for drinks during sunset and breakfast in the morning. Overall experience was amazing. We had such a great time on the boat. Location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants to enjoy if your not interested in cooking in. Also, there's plenty of public restrooms in the village if needed. As well as the main club where boaters can utilize for showers and sort if not on your boat. Location is amazing. There's a beach literally walking distance across the parking lot. Totally will be a returning customer.

As soon as we entered the room we could tell it had been throughly cleaned. The floors we had were tile or wood and my partner and I appreciated the care that went into prepping the room for us! Staff - 5/5. The staff was super helpful and kind and helped us with recommendations of the nice beaches nearby. Vibe - 100/10. I thought the room was super cute and cozy! It had everything we needed including shower caps and makeup wipes which I thought was a nice touch. There was also complimentary coffee and delicious homemade cookies! There was also complimentary breakfast that was delivered to our room. The only downside that I found was our room was underneath the staircase and could get noisy when trying to sleep in. However I just turned on the TV and was able to sleep through it. Overall I would 1000% come again to The Eagle Inn and stay here whenever I am in Santa Barbara :)

They have done some updating. The fan they now provide is a new small but very efficient Woozoo fan, not the one they show in the older review pictures. The fireplace was nice and the bathroom was modern and updated. There is a desk & chair along with two charging outlets on the desk and dresser area. They have an ice machine that was always full alongside a vending machine. The only suggestion I would make is to provide a plastic bag for the ice bucket, for sanitary reasons. Luckily, I had one with me. The balcony was very nice with two comfortable chairs and a nice size table. The views were spectacular of the beach. It was very foggy during my stay so no sunset but that happens sometimes. There are several restaurants within a very short walk from the hotel and beach access is easy. It was quiet at night and the sliding door to the balcony had a security bar so you could leave it open a few inches or all the way if you wanted to. The sounds of the waves crashing on the shore made for such a peaceful and restful sleep. They have a good size refrigerator in the room that kept everything really cold and a coffee maker with the regular & decaf pods along with powdered creamer & sugar. The complimentary breakfast consists of cereal, muffins & pastries along with coffee. I thought it was a nice touch. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends and my brother & SIL are already planning to stay here soon. I can't wait to come back, this is my new go to when not camping here in Ventura!

We came on a Saturday early afternoon and started at one of their restaurants. The food was amazing, but service was definitely on the slower side. The resort is huge and has so many activities tennis, golf, bike rentals and more. After that, we headed over to the spa and spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool. The vibe was so calm, mostly women just chatting, unwinding, and enjoying each other in this peaceful little paradise. We ordered smoothies poolside and omg...so fresh and refreshing. Service at the spa pool was great, everyone seemed to be working together seamlessly and checking in often without being overbearing. Definitely one of those spots I'd come back to anytime I need a reset from LA.

For many years, Ojai Valley Inn was one of my favorite destinations. I have stayed at the resort…read moreseven or eight times and always considered it a special place to celebrate important occasions. Unfortunately, after my recent experience, I do not plan to return. For Father's Day weekend, I booked what I hoped would be a memorable getaway for my husband and me. I prepaid $5,364.45 for a two-night stay in a Deluxe King with a View Room. In addition, I made dinner reservations at the resort's fine dining restaurant, scheduled a golf outing for two because my husband loves golf, and booked a couples massage. I was genuinely looking forward to a special and relaxing weekend. On June 5, I searched for Ojai Valley Inn on Google and called the phone number that appeared online. Unbeknownst to me, I was connected to a third-party reservation company called Hotel Reservations rather than the resort directly. I received a confirmation email that included Ojai Valley Inn's name, a confirmation number, an itinerary number, and proof of payment. After driving nearly three hours from Newport Beach to the resort, I was shocked to learn that Ojai Valley Inn could not locate my reservation. I presented all of my documentation and confirmation details, yet after nearly an hour of waiting, the issue remained unresolved. I contacted Hotel Reservations while standing at the front desk, and they confirmed that a reservation existed in their system. Unfortunately, the third-party company and the hotel were unable to reconcile the discrepancy. What disappointed me most was not the reservation issue itself, but the hotel's response. The front desk associate assisting us was kind, empathetic, mentioned they will have a room available for us, and appeared genuinely committed to finding a solution. However, when the front desk manager, Morgan Giuseponi, became involved, I felt that very little effort was made to accommodate us despite our circumstances. Given our longstanding history with the resort, our prepaid reservation, and the fact that we already had dining, golf, and spa reservations on property, I expected some attempt to help us remain at the resort. Instead, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and were advised to seek accommodations elsewhere. Whether the issue originated with the third-party booking company or elsewhere, I had hoped Ojai Valley Inn would demonstrate the level of hospitality and problem-solving that luxury resorts are known for. Rather than allowing the situation to ruin Father's Day weekend, we chose to stay at Rosewood Miramar Beach instead. Fortunately, the experience there was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and proactive. The contrast in customer care was impossible to ignore. Luxury hospitality is not measured by how a property performs when everything goes according to plan. It is measured by how it responds when something goes wrong. In this case, I left feeling that Ojai Valley Inn was unwilling to help a loyal, repeat guest during a difficult situation. This experience was deeply disappointing and has permanently changed my perception of a resort I once loved. While the reservation issue may not have been entirely the hotel's fault, the lack of effort to find a solution certainly was. For that reason, I will not be returning.

And at least for some rooms, the views are phenomenal! So one star for the service, one for the view - if you pick the right room - make sure to ask! Unfortunately, the grounds really, really need a landscaping overhaul. Similarly, the room interiors and window coverings seem tired. Their "European" breakfast seemed no better than a Holiday Inn Express. A lot of it is prepackaged stuff. The "assorted cheeses" are identical to the pre-sliced packaged stuff from Vons as is the bread and bagels. The only effort put into appears to be the hard-boiled eggs (unpeeled, of course). They could easily step it up several notches by sourcing pastries from locals, making oatmeal to serve, and getting a decent cheese and meat selection, but after the second disappointing day of the exact same thing we headed to town for breakfast. For us, the most off-putting thing was all the ridiculous signs everywhere! We counted 22 separate signs from driving in the entrance to opening the door to our room - four or five were helpful. And then there's all the signage IN your room (did you really need to label the ice bucket as "Ice Bucket"???). It seems like someone just went to town with a label maker and laminator. Maybe just us, but we felt it was tacky, unnecessary and detracting.

Both valet and the parking structure had several EV level 2 charging stations; valet charging was free. ChargePoint paid charging available at the parking structure; not sure what the cost is. Pier view isn't great, and the sounds of music from The Aloha steakhouse, constantly made into the room on the 9th floor. I was the second room from the furthest point and still didn't have much of a view. I had a small balcony which provided fresh air and a place to dry wet bathing suits. At least 3 times a day you would hear the loud train noise even on the 9th floor; I'd suggest the sunset view vs pier view going forward. The restroom was extremely small, the water pressure was low at all times; sink and shower. The sliding barn door had frosted glass which blinded the entire room with the bathroom lights on in a dark room; poor design choice as the door was only 1-2 feet away from the bed. The pool was heated but not @80 degrees as described; complementary towels available at the front desk. Drinks are allowed on the pool deck but must be in plastic; no glass allowed. The Aloha bar had friendly bartenders with decent food and drink options; I wasn't a fan of the ahi salad, it had too much wasabi in the dressing. The hotel was located about a 5min drive from downtown Ventura and a 10min walk, this location wasn't as centrally located like the Clocktower hotel but likely less noise from foot traffic. Late check out @1 is complementary and prioritized with IHG rewards members, however I was not allowed the option. I doubt I'd return due to the above mentioned. Late check out should always be an option.
