We used them to remove asbestos from our basement. They were the cheapest bid and were able to get us in within the week. C

Just had a fantastic experience with Gary from Loyear - he came out to check my concerns with mold…read morein my basement. Very knowledgable. Did not try to upsell me on anything. He was very honest, polite and thorough. He let me know any priority concerns or not. It was such a great experience and put me at ease working with him, highly recommended to deal with Gary.

I'll start by saying Loyear never actually did any work for me - which is, in a strange way,…read moreexactly why I recommend them. Shortly after moving into our new place, we noticed an area of water damage in the wall and flooring from a leaking drain pipe, which the previous owners had covered with furniture during our inspection. We had the leak itself fixed by Tonka Plumbing, and requested an estimate from Loyear for the remediation work. When Gary showed up, he had a mask, booties, everything you'd expect in 2020. He listened to what our issues were, inspected the damage, pulled out his cool infrared gadget, and gave us his estimate. The surprise came when he then told us that - as much as no business likes to turn down business - our issue was one we could probably handle ourselves. Instead of simply taking our money, he suggested that we give it a go, and call him back if the issue turned out to be larger than we were comfortable handling on our own. So there you have it. 5-star review for a company I never actually hired -specifically because of an estimator's honesty and frankness. Will 100% call them in the future for any water damage/remediation work I need.

Story time: Terrible communication. Had a small flood in the…read morebasement and they came to remove the water and clean the carpet. Cleaning the carpet also consisted of drying the wet carpet with fans. First, when I scheduled them I asked if they needed me to move my furniture around in the basement, and they said no they workers will move them. Day 1 - The first (of four guys) that came, moved the furniture to the side, removed the water, removed the carpet padding, and put fans on top of the carpet. When I saw this I thought it was strange and just thought they knew what they were doing. I asked the first guy what the next step was and he said someone will contact me tomorrow morning for a follow up....he didnt say what time but said it should be in the morning. I also asked if they were gonna take all the padding they left in my driveway and he also said tomorrow when they call they'll work all that out. Day 2 - Next morning I stay home and await a morning call, noon comes around and I give them a call. The receptionist said she'll talk to the manager to see when they would come out and give me a call back. 1pm comes around, I call back and the same lady said that the manager is actually in a meeting until 4pm (WTF?!). I stayed home to find out I could of went to work and came back and got all this stuff done afterwards. Manager guy finally calls me and comes check out the basement and puts the fans UNDER the carpet (makes more sense) and says it'll take a couple of days for it to dry and they will come back everyday to check it. Again, I ask what time tomorrow they'll come and he said they'll give me a call. I also asked if he was gonna take the padding in my driveway, and he said he'll come tomorrow to grab it with an empty truck. Day 3 - I get nothing from them in the morning - I text the manager, he says someone else will come take a look today (3rd person I'm seeing now). The guy comes and looks at the basement and he sees its still wet like nothing happened. He mentioned that I should move the furniture out of the way so the carpet can be laid flat and air out better. At this point I'm annoyed cause I even offered at the start to move it all out of there. Then he brings down his vacuum and starts sucking more water out of the carpet then reorganized the fans so there would be more flow. When he was done, I asked if he was going to take the padding on my driveway, and he said he didnt have the room for it and tomorrow when they come they can take it. Day 4 - No contact all morning, I text the guy - he said he'll come around 5pm. By this point I already moved all my furniture out now. He comes and reorganizes everything and the carpet looks like how it should - floating from the fans blowing below. Asked about the pads again and said tomorrow again. Day 5 - I await a call from them (since I have been the one reaching out to them from Day 1). I let it ride and get nothing the whole day...so much for they will come out and check every day. Finally, at night I text the them to see when they will be coming the next day. Day 6 - 4th different guy I have to deal with comes takes the fans and cleans the carpet. AGAIN, asked about the pads on the driveway and said someone will contact me tomorrow about them. Day 7 - No contact - I write an angry email to the receptionist and the "Business Manager" who is in all the emails/notifications I received from them. I get a call from the manager guy and tries to explain/defend themselves and said that night they'll come out and get the crap out of my driveway. I dont remember if I got an actual apology from him though. He throws in a free carpet cleaning after everything is dry to make sure its clean. - I accepted (regret it). Couple days later, I schedule the free cleaning and I get the email saying that it's scheduled for 1:30pm next day. Next day, I stay home from work and wait and wait and wait until 3pm and I finally call them to see what's up. The receptionist said she'll check and give me a call back. 30 minutes later, she hasn't called me back so I call her and she asks for all my information again that I just gave her 30 minutes ago then tells me it's scheduled for 5pm! I forward her the email saying they sent me the reminder for 1:30pm and told her straight that everything has been terrible and will definitely be giving them a negative review, but of course no reply. Guy finally comes out and cleans the carpet. Moral of the story - don't even bother with these people. I've used many home services before, but this has to be the worst experience I've ever had. Literally nobody gave a crap about the job, nobody ever reached out, and nobody even knows what the next steps are. It just gets bounced around until I complained about it. By the end of it all, I didn't care if the carpet was even clean...thats how bad it was

TLDR: If you have elderly loved ones getting plumbing services, BE THERE WITH THEM!…read more My father was overcharged for services. I was unable to be there to monitor the worker, unfortunately. 1) The worker invited his friend over to my parents' home to "help" him. The friend - some rando with no uniform on and probably not vetted by the company. 2) Said rando parked in the neighbors' driveway. I moved my parents' car so the service vehicle could park in their spot, to avoid this. 3) The "expert plumber" took 3 HOURS to install a BASIC kitchen faucet. He replaced a basic faucet, so no bells and whistles -- nothing complicated. He said, "The old faucet was corroded." Riiiiiiiiiight... 4) Charged my elderly dad over $950 for a BASIC faucet replacement. (Before discount, so over $850 in the end). Thank goodness for his military discount! 5) Didn't plug appliances back correctly. Had to call them to come back the next day to check their work. (In case it voided any warranties, if we did anything ourselves.) 6) His "supervisor" came out. I asked him why it cost almost $1000 dollars for a BASIC kitchen faucet replacement? He said, "That's just our pricing." 7) This company was originally called for a clogged toilet. The plumber flushed it a couple of times and said there was nothing wrong. No camera check, as advertised. (I had worked on unclogging it for several days, as it was unusable.) I guess, I'm a master plumber now. Bottom line: Get quotes, people! And read the reviews! These people are swindlers!
