As I have come to find out, buyer beware when buying a used Motorhome. Thank God I went through a reputable dealer who stands behind the products they sell. As a business owner, I understand issues happen. What is important to me is how a business addresses those issues. They had gone through and checked the unit completely. When we got it home we noticed a couple of minor things and those were fixed right away. When we got ready to leave on our trip, we had one of those moments where you literally think you are going to puke. We went to flip a mattress and the board was warped. No big deal I thought. I'll just flip it over. Except for it turns out there was water under it and the bed supports had failed. Our trip was planned. I made a minor adjustment to the bed and gave them a call. My salesman called me while I was driving and told me to bring the unit in when we got back. We picked the unit up today, all the damage had been repaired, all leaks were sealed and spots that were not leaking were sealed again. Bottom line is the paperwork said used and as is but they had said if there was an issue they would take care of it and they sure as heck did. No questions asked read more

I had contacted the State to see what options I had due to the fact that i had not heard from him in a timely manner. They initiated an investigation. Trent got mad and backed out when he learned of it. To be clear the state said he broke no law. Just bad practices. I really thought that a dealer would be a better route. I'd like to share my recent experience with camper trailer repairs at the Grand Junction location of Humphrey RV. I chose this business because of strong online reviews. Let me preface by saying that I understand that repair shops face staffing, scheduling, and supply-chain challenges. That said, my experience was poor enough that I do not plan to use this business again. The first issue was timing. It took months to get the camper in for service, which I accepted because they were busy. However, after I dropped it off, it sat for about two more months with very little progress. The work was completed shortly after I asked about its status, which gave the impression that it had been forgotten or pushed to the back burner. I cannot know that for sure, but the service was extremely slow. Second, the shop was ultimately unable to complete repairs they initially said they could handle. After all that time, they decided the repair could not be completed because the problem would likely recur. I was also told they tried to order replacement parts, but that shipping from Australia was more than the estimate "because of tariffs." That struck me as odd because the trailer was built in Texas. In the end, one substantial repair was not completed during the time they had the camper and their explanation for why was lacking. Third, they also attempted to repair or replace the combination air/water heater, which I had been told by the manufacturer that it was under warranty and needed to be handled by an authorized technician. To me, "under warranty" implies there should be no cost to the owner unless additional charges are clearly discussed ahead of time. I was not notified of any additional cost before the work was done, but I was presented with a bill of more than $700. The most concerning issue came during the first trip after the repair. The heater was not performing well, so when I got home I opened the enclosure and found that the unit was not even attached to the camper. Two of the three air ducts were partially disconnected, and the unit was leaking water. I do not understand why the heater would be left unsecured inside the enclosure, especially without any communication to me about it's partially fixed status. The water leak caused additional damage, and I ended up doing follow-up work myself that should have been handled by the shop but my trust in them had been lost. I have been very frustrated by this experience, but I am trying to stick to the facts. Overall, I was surprised and disappointed that this level of work and communication came from a professional shop with such strong reviews. Based on my experience, I would caution others to inspect any completed work very carefully before leaving and to be very clear upfront about warranty charges, timelines, and what work will actually be completed. read more

After much research, we purchased our Nash camper in June 2023 from Humphrey RV. During the first year that we owned our Nash, we had to take it in for service four separate occasions due to the same issue--leaking. First, the toilet leaked. Humphrey RV technicians claimed they could not replicate the leak and did not believe us until we provided photos. It required two trips to fix the toilet leak. Then, the slide leaked. As much as I enjoy walking through rivers and streams, walking through a stream inside my camper is never desired. A third trip back to Humphrey to have our camper serviced, and they reported that they fixed the leaking slide. One camping trip later, we knew that was not true. We were forced to finally reach out directly to Nash Corporate. Their response was immediate. They took us seriously. With Nash Corporate on the phone to Humphrey, the leaks were all repaired on our fourth visit. However, when we arrived to pick up our camper for the fourth time in less than a year of owning our new camper, the same service associate that we had been dealing with the entire year did not remember us and said, "You must not have purchased this camper here." My husband respectfully corrected him. Finally, in reviewing the itemized list of our request for repairs, the service associate admitted that not everything had been fixed. A light had not been repaired. That was the last straw. We are grateful that Nash Corporate fixed the leaking slide. We had the light fixed by another repair man. We will never, ever return to Humphrey RV. We advise others to look elsewhere. read more

So disappointed. Yes while traveling through Grand Junction I had issues with my RV plug (Shore power). I was excited that they were able to get it in to fix the problem on Tuesday April 12th. But by Sunday the 14th it wasn't working. Humphrey isn't open on Monday, so I took it to another RV service shop. When they pulled the plug from the RV it wasn't even connected. I paid almost $300 for crappy work only to have someone else fix the problem. read more

Worked a deal with salesman Wagner for multiple days. When I finally agreed and asked for it to be put on paper to move forward, I got a call back two days later saying that they (as in management) got "cold feet on the deal". Wagner was unprofessional and rude. If they just said no from the beginning, I would have respected that position. Instead they wasted multiple days of my time. Centennial RV on the other hand is great to work with, honors their word and will not play games. read more

I purchased a new RV in Montrose July 2021. The heating element in the fridge went out, the slide out is not always working, all of the walls (wall paper is bubbling), the shower is separated from the wall, the regulator on the propane quit working, and several other small issues. When I finally got it in for service June 2022 it was supposedly all repaired for me to pick up in July. It was not done so I was put off for parts until October 2022 went to pick it up and the slide is still not working and the walls in the slide and bathroom were not replaced. I was recommended to buy this RV from Humphreys because they are "fair" and "honest". This is not true, I have been lied to, put off, and given the run around since the day I purchased the RV. Attempted to get a couple of repair/replacement jobs done on my camper at the Grand Junction location April 21, '21 in preparation for summer camping. When I arrived with the camper for my appointment, which had been scheduled by phone in early March, expecting (maybe unreasonably) the work to get done in one day, I was told they were running behind due to being busy and that it wouldn't even get into their shop until at least the next day and that I should expect it to be in the shop for 1-2 WEEKS! No one had ever informed me of that kind of backlog or delay potential. Even though it was sitting in their service driveway, no one even looked at the camper or discussed details of the work to be done. Because leaving the camper for an extended period would not work for me, I requested and got rescheduled to the next week. In the meantime I emailed service asking for a quote on the work to be done. No response. Followed up when I didn't hear back. No response. Then decided I didn't want to go ahead without knowing more about what they proposed to do, time in shop, estimated cost, etc. Sent email on the appointed day to cancel. Got this snippy response from the service writer: "Apologies for the delay in response, this is a very busy time of year. We do not do estimates on campers that are not brought to our shop. (Remember I'd been in the week before WITH the camper from my home 35 miles away) Too many variables. It is unfortunate that you decided to not bring your unit in for the scheduled appointment. We are now scheduling appointments out into the beginning of June." Sent email to a Humphrey manager complaining - CRICKETS. Beware! They are pretty pricey, backlogged BIGTIME in their shop (maybe not enough help or poor service shop management?) and rude to their customers. I happen to have been one for years. NO MORE! read more

I purchased a 2023 Alliance Paradigm a month ago and I do have to admit to love my new purchase even though it's that old adage, if your a woman you will be fucked, well. These people took my money and ran, they don't want to hear from me ever. Yesterday, May 16 one of the awning broke and fell on my SUV, a few minor scratches that can be buffed out. I called Humphrey RV and told them what had happened. The man at the desk said there was nothing he could do about it but that he would talk with the manager, this was at 3:30 p.m., well have not heard from zero personnel from Humphrey RV. We have a 2021 Keystone Premier and brought it to Humphrey RV in Montrose for warranty repairs. Our experience started off pretty shaky. We dropped our RV off after 4th of July weekend 2021 and just picked it up in February 2022. My frustration and opinion of Humphrey changed dramatically, however, thanks to Jeff in the Grand Junction location for standing up and doing the right thing. To be fair to Humphrey RV, most of that blame for the delay was on Keystone - wrong parts sent, no parts sent, no response from Keystone. And we weren't exactly pushing too hard in the dead of winter. When we finally did pick it up, the TV was still not working and Keystone was still not responding. Jeff stepped up. He really took ownership of our issue. He immediately and frequently reached out to Keystone to no avail. Finally, and with the support of his management, Jeff had the TV replaced by Humphrey RV. He texted us before, during and after the installation to make sure we were satisfied. Until Jeff intervened, we had no intention of going back, but Jeff single-handedly earned our future business and gained a loyal customer. We just started our big RV trip to California from Boulder and grabbed the wrong 30amp cord. After searching for 2-3 hours with no luck for our cord, we managed to get a hold of someone at the store. Even though the store was closed that day, they came in and opened it up for us because they had our cord. Didn't want to turn back around 250 miles so thank you. Humphrey's is a WFCO dealer, so when I was having an issue with my WFCO product, I called ahead to their store to see if they'd be able to provide me with a warranty replacement. They advised that I should contact WFCO first, to get a warranty approved, which they would then be able to provide me with a replacement, knowing WFCO was shipping them one to replenish their stock. I processed my claim with WFCO, had my proof of purchase and credit card information approved, and had a tracking number for the replacement to be shipped to Humphrey's. I drove 50 miles to the location, presented all of the approved information to their manager, who told me that I must've misheard their associate on the phone, he claimed she said they had "nothing to do with it". Yeah right. As a dealer for the product, you'd think they'd be happy to assist a customer, but they said it'd be different if I had "bought it from them and had it installed here". If you are looking for a place to assist you in a pinch, stay far far away from Humphrey's. They only care if they are taking your money. read more

Horrible customer service! We took our camper to the Montrose location. We had scheduled for the awning fabic to be replaced. We had to remove the old fabric, it had ripped so when we took it there we had the roll/tension bar, new fabric and ask for new light strip to be put on, they quoted us around $550. and asked if someone could give us suggestions on how to get the flex out of our stairs. I received a message with a new quote stating that the awning arms where bent and we would need new arm around 950.00 plus new stairs for $500. the new quote is around $2400. I declined the stairs and bought new arms, quote of around $1700. They had our trailer for about two weeks, they called and said it was ready. When we Picked it up we rolled the awning in and out several time thing seemed ok. Getting ready for camping trip we tried to roll out the awning and it didn't work, and we notice that there was an 18" gap where they didn't screw the fabric guide back to the camper call Humphreys took it back out there and they tell us the motor is no good and It would be around $1200. for a new one and charged us $185.00 to re-attach the fabric guide. We were leaving on vaction and needed it fixed, they informed us they would not be able to get a motor in time and attached the new arm with old rusty screws. Well whats really is interesting we looking a our receipt it states they removed our motor from the tension bar and replaced it with a used one. question WHAT happen to the motor that was in the tension bar when we took it to them. Did they toast it and put a used on in and it failed and was going to charge us for a new one!!!! I have sent 3 emails to general manger and owner and not one of them will get back to you. We ended up taking it to cenntinal Rv Grand Junction THEY ARE AWESOME, they had it fixed in a few days, at a much better price and gave a discount because they felt sorry for us. Humphrey's scared us. If I could give a -5 star rating I would! I am sending this to the BBB and puting it on Facebook for everyone. read more

I couldn't recommend the team here at Humphrey's RV enough. I was on a road trip & experiencing heating issues in the middle of winter. Jake was so kind in communicating with me that they'd do whatever they could to make sure I didn't have another freezing cold night. They were able to fit the van in within the hour and diagnosed the issue, fixed it and had me out of there in no time. Honestly, I'm so grateful for them! In 4 visits to collect an item ordered and paid for, I got 4 different excuses as to why the 13 ounce bottle of cleaner, somehow couldn't be delivered and stocked. I told them from the beginning "I can get this product at Walmart, but really want to support a local business..." So much for total quality mngt! Never did get the spray bottle of cleaner. I got the impression that if I had dressed up a bit, and come in looking to buy an RV, they would have been all over me to make sure I was taken care of. So much for supporting local business. Scheduled an appointment to get my Rpod frig that wasn't cooling on propane fixed. First open spot was a month away, sooner than the other RV places in town. Really nice and friendly folks. The next week after taking it in (note: it takes a day or so for an rv fridge to cool down on propane) they called to give me an estimate of the cost and repairs needed. They suggested replacing the regulator and the hose going to from the tank to the regulator, the pig tail. Talking with the tech I asked what was wrong with the pig tail. Looked fine to me, no cracks or sign of excessive wear and tear. "Nothing, we just always replace them when we replace a regulator". I asked how much it would cost parts and labor to replace it. "About $75". I asked him if it looked like it really needed to be replaced and he said no, it's just what they do. I told him I saw no need to pay $75 to replace a perfectly functional part but since the pressure reading on the regulator was low to go ahead and replace it. Got it back a few days later and it works great, with the original pig tail. Overall assessment: they have good techs but you need to go over suggested repairs to see if they are really needed or are just customary ways to increase your bill. I would go to them again, but will verify suggested repairs. read more

Had my camper yearly service done at the Montrose Dealership. They charged me for the roof inspection and added just a half a tube of sealent. On our way to Arizona the sky light started leaking so had it repaired by Camping World. Camping World found the sky light had been cracked, so they replaced it. The tech told me the sky light had been cracked for quite along time. They also sealed the other sky light. Using almost three tubes. When I got back to Montrose, I spoke to the manager. He then talked to the tech who performed the inspection. Of course the tech said he did all the necessary checks and that I must have hit a tree. They do not stand behind their service. read more

We were traveling from Denver to Moab and we lost the cap to the auto changeover regulator (not sure of the exact terminology) for the propane tanks. We needed to replace the whole thing (including two pigtails). Jerry helped us out here - they had the part and he installed it for us. We were back on the road in no time - but not before buying an incredible breakfast burrito from the food truck on the lot. (Only there on Wednesdays around 10:30 am)!!! We purchased an RV from Humphrey's several years ago and even though it is an hour and a half drive from our house we have had them do most of the service on our fifth wheel. Two years ago our braking system was not working as we left on our way to California. Called and stopped by Humphrey's and they had us fixed and out the door in about an hour! This fall we had them replace our black water tank. While it seemed to take a long time, we got it in time for this year's trip to California. But when we got to California we tried to drain and flush the new tank and a handle did not work properly. We had to have a local repair it at the cost of $175. The repairman said that the replacement of the tank was done very well except for that one part. We sent Humphrey's the bill and they sent us a $175 check with absolutely no hassle. How refreshing in this world to find a company that stands behind their work!! We will continue to send people to Humphrey's and of course be loyal customers. Thanks Ken! read more

I don't always take the time to leave a review, however I feel obligated to leave a five star review for Humphreys RV in Grand Junction. We were passing through on a road trip with our Jayco travel trailer and had an urgent repair need and they were the nearest warranty service center. Normally it takes months to have a trailer repaired under warranty, however they were able to squeeze me in on the very same day and give me superb customer service and do everything I needed them to do while in the middle of an 8,000 mile road trip. Their courtesy, professionalism and accommodation is among the best I have ever experienced. I am very appreciative and hope their business thrives. When I called in late March and talked to their service department. I was told they could do a replacement of some vinyl on my walk-in door of my motorhome. I also asked them to replace a drawer pull and reglue some edging on the shower door. All of the items I had the parts for and provided them to them. They could not get me in for a month and I had to be there exactly at 12:00 noon. We checked in the motorhome (at 12:00 noon) and went thru what needed to be done and provided all the parts. The serviceman that checked us in wrote up a workorder and said it would be a week or so. When we didn't hear back for two weeks, we called to check on it. The service person that answered said he would check on it and get back to us. We did not receive a call back. After waiting another week, we called again. A different service person said they would check on it. He did call back and we were informed that they did not do the type of work to repair the door and I would need to take the motorhome elsewhere. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper after wasting a month and 3 weeks of my time. Why didn't they just check and tell us upfront? Totally incompetent service department. Wife and I are on a 2-week RV trip and had some interior electrical problems; no power to the microwave and TV. Pulled into Humphrey RV in Grand Junction (they are a dealer for our RV brand). Explained my issue to the Service Desk. They advised me they were booked solid in the service bays for 3 weeks. But they asked Kyle if he could assist us. Kyle got into the trailer, diagnosed the issue (with the GFI outlet), fixed it and we were on our way in 20 minutes. No charges. This place is the best! We purchased an Arctic Fox camper recently from this dealership and Mark V was a knowledgeable salesman and very helpful. I was happy with that part of my experience. I was told however that I would receive 10% off parts for future purchases. I took a vehicle in to have a new receiver hitch installed and they did not honor the 10% on the parts. They also quoted me one price and the actual ticket was about 150.00 more than the quote. (In all fairness I purchased the Arctic Fox personally and I took in one of my Company Vehicles for the hitch). I thought I would give them some more business. I have a feeling the 10% kinda just sounds good and is completely up to their discretion when it suits them. They also acted like they were doing me a favor because they said my appointment was on a Wednesday and I brought it in Thursday. THE APPOINTMENT WAS FOR THURSDAY. It was one of my service vehicles and I know when it will be out of service. I'm also still waiting for a replacement door on my new camper that was damaged prior to me purchasing it. So, the sale was good the service department not so much. Nothing horrible about this, unfortunately it seems to be the very mediocre service we have all become accustom to. WOW!!! What a fantastic experience. Rob Debaca was the man that made our experience the best. We spent 3 months looking at RV's( every weekend, and online daily) throughout the valley including Montrose and kept coming back to Humphrey's and another local, we decided on a Nash from Humphrey's, because the customer service was beyond anyone else. The experience was great, Rob answered all our questions and didn't push us into any decision, he allowed us to choose on our own. Always there to help when needed but didn't over do it. It is like buying a house, its our 2nd home. Sonia, made everything work and helped when it didn't seem like it would work. Larry did the walk through and helped us learn some of our mistakes on our other camper, he made the learning process enjoyable and not boring,you don't always know everything like you think you do, lol. I will HIGHLY recommend Humphrey's for anyone looking for any type of RV they care about the customer, not just the sale. They have always taken good care of us with our older campers and the service department has always been straight forward and honest, regardless of how much we could spend. Traveling from Denver to Moab we noticed some water coming from the bottom of our door while filling up with gas. Discovered a busted water line going to the toilet. We called Starcraft and they recommended a dealer in Rifle, CO who so graciously denied us service because they did not sell us our camper. So Starcraft then recommend Humphrey RV in Grand Junction, CO. Called the service department and talked to Don. Without hesitation Don said stop on in and they would take a look at it. Few hours later we arrived and Don got us checked in. Derick came out and spotted the problem within 10 seconds. He walked out and got the part. Boom!!! 30 minutes from check in until check out. No questions asked, no grief given and outstanding customer service. Traveling is demanding and stressful when things go wrong. To have a dealership/repair facility adjust a few things to get you back On the road with priority is amazing. I recommend these guys to anyone traveling and need something in Grand Junction, CO. Traveling in The west and had an issue with an awning over one of our slide outs on our motor home. This RV dealership & repair service is excellent. It wasn't a big job but it needed the expertise of someone who knew exactly what to do. All employees were courteous, friendly and efficient. We were on the road and had only stopped overnight in Grand Junction. They worked us in quickly and we were on our way in record time. Highly recommend to all. read more

Buyer Beware: Humphrey RV in Grand Junction is probably the worst business we have ever dealt with in our lives. We purchased a brand new Jayco Toy Hauler from out of state in February. We were told Humphrey RV would perform any warranty/recall work necessary. All in all, we've had our brand new camper into Humphrey RV for warranty work three times in less than four months. On the first visit they poked a hole in the front diamond plate & failed to repair a simple water leak. On the second visit they nearly ripped the ladder off of the camper but were able to repair the hot water heater. They verbally denied damaging our camper both times BUT did order the parts to repair both items at their expense. The third & final visit was to repair the diamond plate (yes, it took three months & two attempts to get the correct piece of diamond plate & install it), the ladder & onboard fuel station warranty issue. They begrudgingly repaired the diamond plate & ladder but REFUSED to repair the fuel station issue (it is mounted at the incorrect angle therefore taking a very long time to fill the tank). They also informed us that they will no longer service our unit because it is "taking too much time away from their customers". Please remember that two of the major repairs were to repair damage inflicted by Humphrey RV. Most every employee was rude & disrespectful, especially the Service Manager Kyle. They even refused to let us pick up our camper on their lot. They dropped it outside their gates for us to pick up. We've never been treated to disrespectfully by a supposedly reputable business. Hope this prevents fellow camper owners from the same nightmare we've experienced. read more
