This is your standard strip mall Chinese takeout with two tables, but a notch or two higher in the quality arena. Like i said, It is surprisingly not too cheap and generic like you would assume. This place is awesome! I was looking for a lunch spot in the area and decided to try it out today. Great service, the interior of the restaurant is clean, and the food was delicious. They even customize orders to make them spicier if you'd like. There are only a few tables in the restaurant so it mostly caters to the takeout/delivery crowd, but definitely wouldn't think twice about stopping here for lunch with a few people. Last night though I was so thoroughly disgusted with the food, I think we will start using another restaurant. Ordered General Tsao chicken. Got a second one with coupon as we ordered over $49. Both orders contained about 70% deep fryer dregs. Barely any pieces with Chicken. Mongolian beef was chewy but at least that dish had BEEF in it. Soft spring rolls were flavorless. Was looking for a "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant but this one didn't do it for me. The chicken was cut too small and in stripes. I couldn't tell the difference between the chicken and the peppers while we ate our take out and watched tv (haha). I got general Tso and sesame chicken along with egg rolls including the egg roll special. While I waited, a couple dining in were looking for the same thing, a good Chinese restaurant in this area. They weren't happy with their meal as well...which was a downer for me cause I ordered the same thing. They seem to be very busy though, one guy on the side took my order while the other took orders on the phone. I love this place so much. It's great takeout and I love supporting a local business. The staff are so friendly and kind when you go in to pickup or order, and the food is fantastic. I personally get the chicken fried rice or Mongolian beef every time and it's so good. When you order delivery, it's super fast and it all arrives hot and very well handled/compact. When we order for the family it typically comes separately bagged, in a large box. I've never had a single quality complaint with this restaurant. I have nothing bad to say about it, honestly. The only thing I'm not super fond of are their dumplings, because the wrapping is very thick and gummy, but other than that, everything is amazing. I can only sing praises about this establishment. Love this place, it's hot and fresh and very consistent. My favorites have to be the General Tso's Chicken, Shredded Beef Szechuan Style, and Kung Pao Chicken. All the soups are good too, but I usually go for the Wonton. You get so much for the lunch portion (usually costs ~$6) that I typically end up saving half for lunch the next day. I swung by one afternoon after having a craving for Chinese food. I consulted yelp and this seemed like the best bet for a cheap but tasty lunch combo. The actual storefront is pretty small and it seems to be primarily a take out and delivery spot. There are only a few basic tables for people who need to eat and go- no waiter service. I called in my to-go order after glancing at the menu online. The menu is quite long and the lunch menu has about 30 different entrees that come with fried rice, soup, a spring roll, and crab wonton. The lunch combos ranged from about $5-6.50 or so, so its a really good deal for a huge amount of food. They said my order would be ready in 15 minutes and the food was ready in time- I came in, paid, and was able to leave with my food right away. Everything was packed securely and my food was still steaming hot after the 15 minute drive back home. The food itself was tasty and typical of what I'd expect at a cheap takeaway place. My General Tso's chicken was tender and flavorful, but the fried rice was pretty plain. I ordered hot and sour soup with my meal, but I felt like my soup was a lot more toned-down in flavor than the same soup at other restaurants. It was still tasty but not as spicy nor tangy as other places' version of the soup. My mom ordered the chicken with vegetables in a brown sauce and after seeing how many vegetables came with her meal, I'd be more inclined to order something like that instead in the future. Comes with enogh rice to feed a small Chinese village as well all crab puff and a crispy egg roll and a soup. I get the hot and sour. My only complaint is the wanton, it is nothing special. I ate here a couple of years ago and was blown away by how good the food was. Flash forward to 2 days ago my husband and I got takeout. We ordered lo mein and general tso chicken. Everything was awful. The rice was stale. The sauce on the chicken was so red it seriously looked like it was fake. The chicken also had one of the weirdest after tastes I have ever encountered. The lo mein wasn't great either. The spring roll and crab puff that came with the chicken were both awful too. Literally no flavor, just these fried pieces of bland nothing. The food was cheap. So you get what you pay for. Definitely won't eat here again. I don't even know how they have a 4.5 star rating. read more
