The staff is very friendly and polite I believe it's family owned they are on top of everything very good service and people, you can choose from a wide variety of delicious menu options you can also to choose the to do the Mongolian barbecue they have 4 proteins you can choose from chicken beef, pork, and lamb they have very good egg noodles that you could add to your bowl they have a option of different vegetables and sauces. A Galt staple. They have hot and cold sake which is a bonus for me. The bbq is always fun - kids especially like it since they can pick out their ingredients and then watch the "show" as the chef cooks it on the flattop with large chopsticks. Parking is easy. They now have some new lunch and dinner combo special (I think weekdays only) 12.95 for lunch and 15.95 for dinner. We tried the dinner special (this comes with soup, whereas the lunch special I don't think does). The server recommended the salt baked chicken- which I had to try. Your choice of noodles or rice. We both got the noodle (thinner than chow mien, not sure the type but very good!). The salt baked chicken was DELICIOUS! I was surprised how crispy and light but flavorful it was. Nestled into the corner of an unsuspecting shopping center is the delicious Hunan House! The restaurant is super clean and the staff are so sweet, attentive and helpful! I have not explored their kitchen menu yet, I always build-your-own bowl and watch them cook it on the flattop. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the BYO bowl. You choose your protein (or not), your veggies, noodles, mix-ins and sauces! Voila!! Perfection! Each bowl comes with a cup of soup, white or fried rice, and a crispy wonton sweet bite. If your eyes are bigger than your tummy and you can't finish your bowl, they will happily send it home with you. However, the kicker is, they forgot to include the plum sauce on the mu shu chicken (which is horrible) and they tried to claim they packed it and the driver took it. Really? The driver is going to steal plum sauce and nothing else? Really? I'm supposed to believe that? Me and my family went there for my brother's birthday 3/30 and at the end they handed me my check, but then I wasn't ready to pay it because I was deciding on getting an alcoholic beverage or not and it took me five times to tell I'm guessing either the manager or owner I wasn't ready yet. I was going to take my daughter to lunch a few months ago and asked her where she wanted to go. She suggested Mongolian barbecue and as I had never had it before, I decided to give it a try. This review is for that part of the restaurant. I have not been to their bar (nor have I ordered off their regular menu). For those of us who have waited way too long to enjoy this food... You get a bowl and you fill it with noodles, any of several different kinds of meat, many different vegetables (and pineapple) and several small ladles of different sauces to cook it in. Then it is cooked in minutes on a large round stone right in front of you. One tip I would add is fill that bowl as high as it will go because it cooks way down. On top of this delicious bowl that you have created they also give you egg rolls, soup and your choice of white or fried rice. Definitely go there hungry. You won't be when you leave. We would go to this place every day if we could. It is that good. read more
