One of our favorite places in Galt! We always find the food and service to be excellent and the prices reasonable. There is not much seating space inside the restaurant, but we always order take out and have never been disappointed. My wife loves the oatmeal fish combo with only rice and I always order the two-item fish & teriyaki combo. They have a variety of other items on their menu, but we tend to always go with our favorites. We highly recommend this business!! read more

It's located in a strip mall off the C st exit, next to the save Mart. I wanted to call in a dinner order because I had a long day so I had checked if they were open before I called. It said they were open but they did not answer after calling twice. I happened to go to that shopping center and noticed they were open so I went in to place an order there. There's plenty of seating and a soda fountain along with refrigerated drinks. I waited for about 15 minutes for my order. I ordered a family meal, which is about $51 for three orders of Teryaki chicken, rice and macaroni. The food is always a hit for the kids. Best spot for Hawaiian food. read more

Had lunch with my best friend here yesterday. We built up our appetites after a nice morning nature walk, and this food hit the spot. My favorite was their Chicken Katsu, which was perfectly crispy and tender. The salad was crunchy, delicious, and refreshing. Macaroni salad was tasty and creamy. I tried a couple of pieces of my friend's Koala Bear chicken (yellow curry), and it was nicely balanced and flavored. The bbq beef was very thinly sliced and not the best value since they added an extra $2.00 for beef. Pictures on their wall and online looked thicker and juicier. It was flavorful, though! We also bought extra to bring home. My son said he liked his chicken breast teriyaki even without the sauce. The wait time was about 15-20 mins. They seemed really busy with pickup orders. Hours posted on their door were Mon-Fri 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, closed on weekends. They're also hiring. Maybe their hours will expand with more staff. When dinner came around, after wine tasting, I devoured my leftovers and yelled out loud with my fists up in the air that I should have ordered extra Mac salad. So I'll be back! read more

The woman who took my order was very friendly and fun to talk to, especially when she warned me about the "koala chicken" after I asked for it--it made me laugh. The food here is always on point. The service has been friendly as well. It is a small place so not the best for dine in if you have a large party. I would recommend having cash just in case because sometimes their internet provider fails them and they can't take credit cards. A good clue for this is if you call there to place an order and it won't connect they are having internet issues. Saw a lady come in at 7:45 for 3 chicken dinners and was refused. The lady was apologizing profusely and I just felt really bad for her. She was so considerate that the workers were close to closing and they took advantage of her kindness. It was just really sad- she just wanted 3 chicken dinners at 7:45 and and respectful business should honor their hours and customers instead of young people wanting to get off early. Galt. Another amazing town in the middle of nowhere right off the awesome highway 99. And in the heart of this lovely town we have a shopping center that really does not have enough commercial standard fast food restaurants. Like really wish they had a Taco Bell, or a Carl's Junior, what?! No McDonalds?? No Round Table or Subway. So disappointing! Lol Totally kidding. Needing to eat something more real they had a Indian type restaurant called Flames (should of went there), a Chinese spot and this. They are a Hawaiian fusion restaurant. Not sure where the fusion is but it is pretty much your standard Hawaiian local food spot. All the photos they display makes it appear to be a little fancier, but when you get your food it's pretty standard local food. Super mediocre taste. Nothing I mean nothing stood out to be significant. No one was there when I walked in. Super rude staff. Not friendly whatsoever. I even attempted to make conversation, nope they weren't having it. :) Hoooo cuz, try smoking some mo pakalolo. It'll chill you out cuz. What time you got now? Time for me to stop typing. Shoots. We stopped here for a quick lunch on vacation. The food was just ok. Good macaroni salad but the rest of it was nothing special. Not bad, just not special. I'd gotten the mini meal and spam masubi. Been here a few times so here's my review: All of the food here is good, not exceptional but that's part of the Hawaiian BBQ game at most places. The food is incredibly inexpensive and the portions are huge, good enough to feed you for two or more meals depending on how much you eat per meal. The macaroni salad is sweet and creamy, they also put the protein option on top of the rice which enriches the rice with flavor and fluffs the protein. My only issue is the wait. Your food may come out quick, but waiting for someone to take your order make take a couple of minutes. This is not a staff issue, just seems like they are low on employees. Although it's not my job to update this restaurant's business hours, I guess I will so you don't have to deal with trusting them to do it like I did. Drove from Lodi to try what I had hoped would be some delicious food since I wanted to try some other teriyaki chicken options. It appears, according to the busy door that at one time they were open 7 days a week. Then it changed to closed Sundays. OK, no biggie. THEN there is another note stating starting in February they will be closed Saturdays. I really wanted to try this place but with that schedule it just won't happen. I lived in Galt for a year and a half before trying this place, I now regret that. We eat here on a regular basis, usually we get it to go cause there's not a lot of room. One night I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner but wanted something fairly healthy so I sent my husband to get dinner at Koala. It was love at first bite! My husband has tried almost all the options for meat and has no complaints about any of them. I however am creature of habit and stick with the Koala chicken. Recently I discovered the Huli Huli chicken so I order one of the two or sometimes both. It is also so yummy. The "salad" they give you with whatever the dressing is, is yummy as well. The pasta salad is so good! in fact my husband loves it so much he usually orders extra. Customer service is great, everyone is very friendly. It does take awhile because they cook to order and it is often busy but it is worth the weight. The amount of food you get and the price is very reasonable. read more

It's super irritating when the hours on Yelp say updated 3 weeks ago and that they close at 9 just to show up at 7:40 to the restaurant closed with a sign saying they close at 8. It's one thing to have the incorrect hours online but to also close more than twenty minutes early is so annoying. It's hard to support local businesses when this continuously happens. read more

1st time here. Ordered two 2 item meals asking for no rice but double mac salad on both. I was asked if I still wanted green salad? I said yes but asked if it can be separated, I still had an hour to drive and didn't want hot soggy salad. Price stated for each meal was 12 and I also ordered 2 musubi. Was charged 35? Not sure how that works out but got home and saw we only got 1small scoop of Mac in each meal. The green salad was in with the hot food and yes warm. We only received 2 small containers of sauce and am wondering how that's supposed to cover the katsu, musubi, teriyaki and salad. For paying the price of a sit down meal I'm seriously disappointed. Driving around Gualt CA it was about 2:30 found this Hawaii restaurant it was past lunch the place had hardly any customers. Mary had the barbecue chicken had my favorite the calamari both came with macaroni salad and ginger Cole slaw they were both lunch specials. Tried both they were fresh and delicious. The waitress asked if wanted spicy sauce with my calamari said sure it was fresh and delicious just the right amount of spice it came on bed of perfectly steamed rice which I dumped the sauce on. THE HEALTH INSPECTOR SHOULD PROBABLY PAY A VISIT. Was driving through Galt and quickly picked up something to eat. Drove 30 minutes back home just to find a mosquito right there on the Mac salad. Called the restaurant to get our money back and the girl that answered the phone said that they check all the food and that they always have mosquitos in the restaurant (gross). She said she would try and give a refund through the card reader. The restaurant called back and said that they weren't able to give the refund through the card reader and to come into the restaurant on Monday WITH THE FOOD THAT HAS THE MOSQUITO ON IT, then she would give us the refund. We said we can't do that because we threw it away because who wants to eat a plate of food with a bug on itWe had a picture and offered to send it she declined to see the picture and so we offered to put it on yelp and she said go ahead!
