I came in on a Saturday evening and ordered three entrees: the pepper steak, general tso's chicken, and the house fried rice. The wait was short, and food is amazing! The pepper steak was one of the most flavorful beef dishes I've eaten, huge portions and piping hot. I dont usually order steak from a chinese restaurant but this is a MUST TRY!! 10/10. The general tso's chicken was also very good, it tastes similar to panda's general tso's, but slightly less oily and much crispier. 9.5/10. The house fried rice was pretty good, its something I could make at home, but has that distinct sesame taste that I cant seem to replicate. Very good, 8/10. Overall 4.8/5. Never received my food, they partner with Doordash, so you know your never getting your food. Tried calling the number and no answer, then got blocked. So I end up calling Doordash for complaint services. This place is horrible for letting a paying customer never receive a refund. What's sad is a co-worker of mine recommended this place. Lunch portions are large enough to fill you up. When manager is there, service is pretty quick, if not you may want to call work to tell them you will be late. The General Tso Chicken was delicious. I dined in and got an extremely large plate of food which included General Tso Chicken, Eggroll, Crab Ragoon, and Lo Mein with Broccoli. Everything on my plate was hot, fresh, and delicious! And the chicken was real chicken, not the type of meat that you have to second guess and wonder if you're eating real chicken or something else. I paid $13 and it was a $13 well spent. So worth it. It was so much food that I had to take a to go box and ate the rest later. I'm going back again today. I also requested a side of garlic sauce. Total was $9.14. Ill start with the Veggies there were exactly what you would expect celery, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, flat beans, mushrooms and zucchini. Was a nice mix of colors and veggies. I thought they maybe steamed as they were really tender. I was kind of grossed out as I started eating there was this odd liquid gelatinous gew on the bottom of the container. It had no flavor but it looked like snot. As far as white rice goes it was good. Id say you cant mess that up but you can very badly too lol Egg drop soup was average kind of sweet. Spring rolls were on the empty side. The garlic sauce was surprisingly good maybe one of the best I had... As I said surprising. All in all not the best nor the worst Chinese food Ive had. If asked would I eat here again? Probably not unless I just get a side of garlic sauce lol. Seriously... I haven't had Americanized Chinese food this good anywhere else in Houston. A lot of places tend to over-do their presentation (i.e. too much sauce or sesame seeds) but HK really gets this right. The vegetable egg rolls have a pleasant, crispy shell with traditional cabbage/carrot filling and I am of the opinion that a good egg roll says a lot of about the menu in general. You'll find the standard General Tso's, Peanut Chicken, Sesame Beef, etc. and all for great prices. My office does this place for lunch about once a month and we have never been disappointed. The staff does not speak English making the ordering process EXTREMELY difficult. Servers do not speak English either so I take it your food you better hope it's right because they don't understand if you need to change anything. Additionally the customer service is terrible I stood in line for 20 minutes before anybody even acknowledge me and took my order. After I ordered my food and it came out it was not the right order it was missing the soup and they never get me a glass to drink out of. my advice is not to come here and unless you have tons of time on your hands and you speak Chinese or Spanish. read more

The dumplings were fabulous! However, the main dish was bland. Traditional chicken with broccoli is made with brown sauce. This place does not make it traditionally. That was disappointing. The driver was a bit impatient with me getting to the door; I was trying to get my dog to relax so I could open said door. He rang 2x then proceeded to knock quite loudly.
