The Crab Rangoons aren't the best I've ever had but good enough to cure my craving. Coming with 10 pieces per order for that price is actually cheaper compared to other local Chinese restaurant I'd say. It could be better if they fried the wontons a bit longer since it's still chewy. The Sesame Chicken is delicious! Good portion, I can still feel the crunchiness when biting into the chicken. well I decided to try this place when I was next door to the pizza place. so glad I did. I've been craving good Chinese soup and for once it was delicious(and not fluorescent) ordered wonton egg drop soup, they were a little tough like they needed to be cooked a little longer but the filling was delicious. I also ordered an egg roll and a lunch combo of shrimp with garlic sauce. I told the man to make it spicier(they did) it was awesome. The pork fried rice was chuck full of pork, onions and bean sprouts. The shrimp were huge and other veggies were nice and crunchy. (minus the mass of broccoli) so now I have a decent place to get soup yayy and food. it was nice to have a unglurpy meal. you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a Chinese restaurant that makes edible soup, even with all the places around me in monroe. smh. way to go Hunan wok you have a new customer. the super crunchy Egg roll was jam packed of pork n veggies. so if you're in the area definitely Check them out. I'll start by I made a mistake because I thought I was ordering from our usual place, Hunan House and I feel sheepish in this misstep. So my expectations are already deflated. Maybe it's because in so hungry, but my first bite was fine. No issue. It's not AMAZING. But it's decent and I'm not mad. The sauce is a little runny, and there's more heading than chicken, but the flavors are up to expectation. They didn't have brown rice, so they gave me fried instead. It's... meh. Little too dry. We didn't get any fortune cookies which is really disappointing. Would I order from here again instead of my usual? For take out this place is boss in the 08520!! Dragon and the Phoenix is the entree of champions!!! They prepare it fast but don't slack on the quality. Typically, Hunan Wok has been my go to for YEARS. Their food is typically top notch ans I've never had an issue with ordering food. I am very disappointed to report that I ordered online and asked for a sub- Lo mein instead of fried rice with my combo, and didn't get it. I just don't care for rice. They've done it before and it's never been an issue. Overall, three stars because the food is still good (at least the general tso's chicken since I didn't have anything else), but dropped two due to the ordering mishap. read more

Was out and about and thought we would give this conveniently located Chinese Restaurant a try. Egg Rolls were decent. The General Tso's Chicken was so-so, but the beef fried rice was just awful. Got the spare ribs and they were done in 10 minutes, had great flavor, and were packaged amazingly! They give it in one of those bags like the one olive garden gives for breadsticks where you can reheat it in the oven if you need to. They stayed piping hot until after we go thome and had the bag open for a bit. I'm starting to see more authentic tastes and will keep coming back to explore the menu further read more

I'm giving 4 stars here on kind of a skewed scale. There are not many edible Chinese places in Central Jersey and this place is above average for what it is - a take out only basic Chinese joint. I mainly get wonton soup, BBQ spare ribs, and steamed chicken with broccoli from here. The wonton soup generally has a tasty broth and they are generous with the wontons. The chicken with broccoli is as expected - ask for garlic sauce on the side. The ribs are really where it's at. They have a guy in the kitchen who pretty much manages all of the rib orders. He puts them in and out of the salamander, bastes them with sauces, and puts them in an aluminum lined bag when you get there. I only order ribs on the bone, but if you order boneless, they actually take real ribs and chop them up - not some kind of critter meat! Tried the pepper steak with onions and peppers today. The vegetables and rice were very good, but the so-called steak was fatty and inedible. Why is the meat at Chinese restaurants so terrible? I don't know what happened here. This WAS our go-to Chinese take out place. Got the General's Chicken and there was literally NO CHICKEN! It was like biting into a sponge of breading. This is the same reason we stopped going to another local Chinese spot. What's wrong with these people? The beef and broccoli was marginally better...the beef had a weird consistency as well. The egg roll was the greasiest we've ever had it. Had to blot with several napkins, and it tasted like it was fried in old oil. So disappointing. I guess we have to start searching for a new place. We recently moved to East Windsor and were pretty scared to try any Chinese food places because we heard Mercer County has the worst Chinese food! We got General Tso's chicken, pork fried rice, pork steamed dumplings, and a pork egg roll. We have no complaints! Everything tasted great and we didn't have any of those moments where you bite something that you don't know what it is. for a little take out joint in a 711 strip mall, this spot is pretty decent. the portions are quite generous. the chicken and broccoli, dumplings, lo mein and chow fun are my staples here and have been good 9 out of 10 times on average. i always tell them not to use MSG, so hopefully they listen. but i got a headache after i ate there last. read more

I work nearby and always go here for lunch for takeout. they seem to be the best around for chinese in the area. I like that they make the fried rice and it's not that yellow rice some places have-.
