Not the best, but not the worst. Scallion pancakes were not crispy at all and soaked in oil. Dumplings were good- wife and I both liked the dipping sauce. Spare ribs were cooked to all hell and dry. Crab rangoon were just kinda meh. The veg lo mein was super bland. General tsaos had a nice crunch, but not the best flavor. The broccoli had no bite to it- wilted and limp. Wife didn't like the chicken with black bean sauce, but I've never tried it before and I thought it was good. Then again, I have nothing to compare it to, so who knows. Overall, not terrible. We order from here quite often. Food is good and fresh. The only thing I wish they had was egg foo young. The shrimp egg rolls are a little bland and I don't care for the pork egg rolls but that's generally from any Chinese food place. Ordered chick and broc, pork lo mein and wonton soup for delivery. It showed up hot and fast (20min on a sat night at prime time). The wonton soup wasn't half bad but lacked any scallions or the typical floaties but tasted fine. The other stuff was flat out bad. Chicken was fatty and rubbery and the pork was very oddly flavored with lots of grissle. Lo mein noodles were soggy and a bit bizzarely sweet. Two stars for getting here hot and fast. Three for the soup and 1 star for the entrees. So far the worst of the local delivery places I've tried. read more

This is place is probably the only fast food, Chinese takeout for miles. I would compare this place to something a little less than mall food court food. I think those frozen cartons from the grocery store are better than Golden Garden. I did give it 2 stars instead of one because the portions were generous and service was fast. I might have given 3 stars if the server would get off the phone to take my order. Oh yeah, she didn't even get off the phone while taking my order or when my order was up. There are 2.5 tables at the place, so it is geared more for take out. There is no A/C, so dining inside can be a little uncomfortable in the summer time. read more

I usually read reviews before going to a restaurant and some of these bad reviews really don't match up with my experience at the place. It's a Chinese restaurant not a fine-dining restaurant and reviewers have way too high of expectations. I got the chicken wing and pork fried rice combination and it was delicious! I usually order food from golden garden all the time and never have had an issue in the last 4+ years. Today however I was treated very poorly. I walked in the door and there were 4 people there behind the counter, three were cooking and another lady sat in a chair behind the counter, I had called in my order and was there to pick it up, I literally walked up to the counter and every last one of them looked at me and then looked away and talked while they did other things. I sat there for 5 minutes before anybody decided to say anything to me. After I told one of the ladies the order I was there to pick up, she basically threw it at me, I was so shocked.
