Very overpriced and portion size is wildly inconsistent. I got half as much in one order as I did in an identical one.

Good decorations and plenty of seating available at all times. With free noodles and sauce so you can eat up as much as you'd like when you're waiting for your meal. And the service was always good all the times we went in the past. While I don't live in New Jersey anymore, I still had plenty of good memories eating here from all the years I did live there. And when I do return, I plan to go there again for either lunch or dinner. Going for lunch is a better option though since then the lunch options are available and tends to be cheaper as well.

Pretty dark inside but have such an old school Chinese restaurant. - Food: I ordered take out for lunch special Hunan Chicken with Pork Fried Rice, Wonton Soup, complimentary spring roll, and an order of Crab Rangoon. The lunch portion of rice and chicken is not too big but enough for me personally, it also comes with soup so could definitely make you full. I love crab rangoon and want to try it everywhere. There're 8 pieces per order, they should have fried the crab rangoon a bit more since the bottom is still chewy. Wish there's more filling inside too. Definitely will be back and try other selections too!

For this year's Chinese New Year, I decided to take the family there for our New Year dinner, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The place hasn't changed a bit, the decor still looks exactly how I remember it, which brought back memories. Since some of my family and friends don't enjoy the same spice level as I do, we adjusted the heat for dinner, and everything still came out fantastic. We ordered the whole steamed fish, happy fish, green beans, tea smoked duck, pork chop, beef pan fried noodles, and more. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were spot on. The service was a bit tentative at times, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and a great way to celebrate. I definitely need to come back more often.

It seems that both the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli were in the same sauce (& I've actually found that to be common in this area for some reason) but were tasty overall. The egg roll was quite greasy and the wonton soup was pretty solid with the broth being the star. Oh the white rice was cooked how I expect and wish all Chinese white rice is cooked so that's a plus. Overall a true 3.5 star rating but since halves aren't possible I had to go to 3 because it certainly wasn't a 4.

The food offers great value for the price, especially because the portions are very generous. Sometimes ordering just three dishes is enough to last for two days. It's truly worth it. The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. The presentation was thoughtful, portions were generous, and the flavors tasted authentic and carefully prepared. If you enjoy dishes with a little spice and a lot of flavor, the wontons in chili oil are absolutely worth ordering. I would definitely come back just for them.
