    Pepper steak lunch combo
    Luis Miguel F.

Everyone at the office was in the mood for Chinese food for lunch, and on Mondays, most Chinese restaurants are closed. Hunan Wok III was opened and we called in our order. Everything was prepared to perfection, and portions were very generous as well. I have attached a photo of my pepper steak lunch special. Great takeout!!!

Love this Chinese restaurant. The delivery driver was so nice and punctual. Food was bomb and fresh. Not dry and stale.

GREAT TEAST is the BEST restaurant that offers Chinese Food. I've been a fan of this restaurant…read moresince the late 80's. There is no better place that I'm aware of in the Hartford County area and probably farther but I have to be honest GREAT TASTE is so good I don't venture to far cuz its usually greasy and disappointing, They know my name and welcome me not because they ask for it when you call but because I've been a fan for so long. They know my face and are genuinely happy to see me. I do feel like I'm restaurant family. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is awesome whether eating in or taking out. The menu selections cover everyone's tastes and you will find your favorite dish listed. The Tangerine Beef and Garlic Shrimp are out of this world good! Number ONE #1 hands down!!! As many other reviews have attested, the hot and sour soup is excellent (good mix of mushrooms and tofu), and I enjoyed the sa cha chicken + tangerine beef too. Service was fast (in and out in 45 min) and the host / staff were friendly. On our way out (dining room still bustling at 3 pm!), an arriving couple commented that they'd driven up from North Haven specifically for the soup, and I could see why they'd make the trip. I will definitely visit again as well!

Consistent, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Went for lunch and the service was pretty quick,…read morethough we went right at opening so they were still in the process of starting their day. Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Really good sichuan food, giant portions, authentic…read more Been meaning to swing by this place. Often cited as one of the best sichuan places around, had to make the trek to see. Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites
