We ordered off the RAMADAN 5-COURSE IFTAR MENU which came with One Appetizer One Soup One Main Dish One Drink One Dessert for $28.00 (+$4.00 Lamb) I got Hummus and pita bread for my appetizer. I really enjoyed how smooth the hummus was. For my main dish I wanted lamb shawarma. The staff accommodated me with that substitution. Happy they did because it was delicious. The food here is amazing! We ordered a few things to try and then proceeded to book a catering order here. The chicken and rice were amazing and so flavorful. The falafel was so well seasoned and not dry (I don't generally like falafel because its always so dry and these weren't). The stuffed grape leaves were also delicious! With our catering order, we also got a bunch of side sauces. Within those sauces was a tangy yogurt and this red "salsa" ill call it (not really sure exactly what it was or what its called) these sauces were heavenly! Truly I would buy the sauces on their own if thats an option! Soooo good! Not only is the food amazing but the people who work here are so kind and pleasant. Saj bread! I feel like it's so hard to find in my area (Fall River/ Providence). Saj is a thinner chewy flat bread for shawarma. I want in the area and wanted to try a proper shawarma. Decided on this place. Walked in and I was the only customer. Took a seat and knew what I wanted. I ordered a chicken shawarma with a mint limeade. I should have asked for more hot sauce. The food here is really good, I highly recommend the chicken shawarma, falafel, and kabsa. I personally think the chicken tastes better than the lamb but both are good choices. The hummus is one of the best that I've had in CT, and so is the chicken shawarma. They toast the outside which adds more flavor and texture. The portions are generous although it does take some time to get your food if you're dining in. We came as a large group of 8 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies and had good service. Outstanding Syrian food in a dated strip mall on Allen St in New Britain. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this food. For appetizers, I tried the spicy hummus and the falafel - both served with warm pita bread. For my entree, I had the Lamb Shawerma with Rice Platter. It came with a small salad and a serving of hummus, both finished with a sprinkle of sumac. My lamb was tender and juicy, cut up on a bed of rice with a liberal helping of tahini on top. My friend ordered the Lamb Ouzi. It was served with rice and peas with ground lamb that was seasoned to perfection with notes of cinnamon and possibly clove. My friend is middle eastern himself and he says it was a very authentic dish. For a drink, I had the mint lemonade which was also very good. The menu was big with various non alcoholic drinks, coffees / teas, and desserts. The service was great, and the staff was very polite. I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner! I'm a vegetarian and had the eggplant platter, generous portions, delicious food. Garlicky lemony makdous, smokey eggplant and a bright crunchy salad with fresh tomato, carrot, onion and pepper. I also had warm pita on the side, not pictured, highly recommend.
