Delivery to hotel. 1 hour wait. Food too sweet.

Staying at a local hotel in the Plainville CT area. We decided on some Chinese food. The hotel recommended Tasty Chinese. Well, the food was Chinese, but calling it tasty is quite a stretch. Unfortunately, being from New York City, our taste buds are a little bit more discerning on what qualifies as Chinese food. We ordered the "Three Musketeer" this dish was comprised of beef, pork and chicken cooked in a garlic sauce with mixed vegetables. Wow! The Three Musketeers must have been raised in a sugar farm! Way too sweet! We also ordered the shrimp and broccoli, which was OK. We also placed an order for hot and Sour soup and received a free wonton soup because our order was over $10.00. The Hot and sour soup was also way too sweet and had the consistency of pudding, the soup was barely sour, the wonton soup was bland and devoid of any flavor and the wontons were flavorless. Our order also took about 1 hour to be delivered to our room. All in all very disappointed at this restaurant. BTW, they also serve Spanish food here as well, maybe I should have ordered that instead.

Not bad at all. Ordered from here a few times since moving. Most recently had the pic any two combo for only $8.95. I got sesame Chicken and general tsos chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. All of it was on point. I also ordered something new for the wife for when she got home. Got the number 31.. Singaporean noodles.. Got it based on someone else's yelp review saying it was good... WOW is it! Try it. Different but delicious. Here's some pics

I've enjoyed everything I've ever gotten there. I got the boneless spareribs this last time. They were great.

The chicken was very hard did not have much flavor and the sauce was very salty. I don't think it was fresh at all.

Best takout and delivery Chinese in NW New Britain. Try the Egg Foo Young or the Singapore Chow Mei Fun.

Consistent, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Went for lunch and the service was pretty quick,…read morethough we went right at opening so they were still in the process of starting their day. Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Really good sichuan food, giant portions, authentic…read more Been meaning to swing by this place. Often cited as one of the best sichuan places around, had to make the trek to see. Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites

I moved last year and I'm on a quest to rebuild my list of reliable Chinese takeout spots closer to…read moremy new home. That quest brought me to Hunan Wok III in New Britain. I visited for lunch and ordered a Lunch Combo with Hunan Beef, pork fried rice and an egg roll, and I also ordered a wonton soup. They have a couple of dine in tables and I decided to eat there. Atmosphere isn't really a selling point, but the restaurant seemed clean and functional. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was a mix of good and very good. Highlights included: (1) the egg roll with a peek crispy exterior and a flavorful filling; (2) the flavor of the mildly spicy and rich brown Hunan sauce and the texture, color and variety of the vegetables (peppers, carrots, chopped baby corn, broccoli, onion, mushrooms, etc.) in the Hunan Beef; (3) the substantial wontons and tasty meat filling of the wontons in the soup; and (4) the chopped boneless spareribs type pork in the pork fried rice. Things which were not quite as good included: (1) the soup broth could have used a bit more flavor; (2) the rice in the fried rice was yellow and I tend to prefer the flavor of the fried rice style that is tan; and (3) the beef was a bit chewy in parts, although still above average for CT Chinese takeout restaurants. 4.25 Stars. A good takeout option for sure.

The chicken wasn't all breading and wasn't greasy, decent size pieces of chicken. Crab Rangoon was delectable and didn't taste like cream cheese like other places. Rice was bland. Overall the price was decent and everything was good and flavorful.
