This was my first experience ordering from Hunan Wok. After I placed our order of shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp, a small order of beef lomain and two egg rolls I received my total of $19.95 which isn't bad. I was told it would take 30-45 minutes. Within 15-20 minutes I could hear the doorbell ringing. You guessed it, it was my order. That was fast! The food was pretty good and they provided courteous service. There aren't many places that deliver around here, in the Lexington Park/California area and I am happy that Hunan Wok does. I will patronize this business again. I have ordered takeout from here numerous times and have enjoyed each meal that I got from them. My favorites are their cashew chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables. I also highly recommend their spring rolls and hot and sour soup. All of these dishes are delicious. My orders have always been delivered hot and on time. read more

Ordered Moo Shoo pork with fried rice. Glad to find this dish since a lot of Chinese restaurants don't make it anymore. The Moo Shoo pork was quite good and the fried rice was the best I have had in a very long time. I will be back to try other dishes and apps. read more

Great place for Chinese food. I ordered 5 wings fried rice and boneless ribs. The wings are whole wings instead of drums and flats. They always hit the spot. The first rice was nice and hot. I always order take out from here at least once a month. The food arrives hot and greasy. Best Chinese food by far that I've had in the county. The place looks run down but those are the places that have the best food.

My wife was hankering for some oriental cuisine tonight and based on the reviews here we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 5:15 this evening and there were two people in there, a man, who we later discovered was the delivery guy, and a 8-9 yr old Chinese boy who told us to sit anywhere. It was very cold in there,. as cold as the outdoors. After placing our drink orders with the young boy, we decided on take out as it was just too cold to eat in there. The boy took our orders, and he rang us up and I paid him. Our food was ready in 10-15 minutes. My wife ordered the Seafood Delight, and it was anything but delightful. The lobster tail was tough and freezer burnt. The artificial crab was pasty tasting and the little bay scallops tasted old and fishy. I ordered the Triple Delight which was passable but not near as tasty as I have had elsewhere, e.g., the Teariffic Cafe. We won't be back. read more

We ate here twice this month and I felt compelled to leave a review given how good the food was. They don't over season with salt or soy sauce as many Chinese restaurants do, the shrimp were huge and the broccoli was fresh. Highly recommend! read more

I've ordered delivery from here a few times and have loved it every time. Their General Tso's Chicken is the best I've ever had. Also they are always here very fast and the food is hot! Ordered Friday evening and it was here within 12-15 min. We tried the China Cafe once and will never order from them again. Good food, reasonable prices, quick delivery. Dinner platters were about $8, which includes egg roll, soup, and wontons. Delivery took about 30 min, food was still warm and crispy when it arrived. Lots of food for under $20, no complaints here! read more

Well we wanted to order carry out tonight but things took a wrong turn when I called. The woman answering the phone asked me whether it was delivery or carry out that we were ordering. I answered carry out and then gave my number when she asked. I heard her then ask for my address which I declined to give and repeated our order was for pick up. She then yelled at me through the phone that she was, "Not talking to me so hold on!" I was baffled and did not respond. After a second I thought what she did was completely rude. If you're going to take another order while you're answering the phone, why not put me on hold? Might be overreacting....but I found it very rude. In result I ended up hanging up and we ordered from another Chinese restaurant. Just a strange, undesirable situation to endure....probably won't call here again. read more

Horribly misleading menu. One could say false advertising. I ordered spring onion chicken. I got a container full of yellow onion and around 10 tiny half inch pieces of chicken. The only spring onion in it were the leaves from the end of the onion...yuck. We also had an issue with our order and ultimately the manager was incredibly rude and failed to remedy the issue. Worst take-out experience I have had...and given the fact that we're talking about Chinese take-out...you know it's not good. Don't waste your money. read more

BEST FRIED RICE EVER. This is the only Chinese food place that delivers to campus, and the food is pretty generic Chinese takeout, but I can live off the fried rice for days. My best friend and I tend to make a meal out of fried rice and beef skewers, and it's always a good night. read more

Yesterday I ordered some chines food from this store, first time, did not know what to expect. The man on the phone recited my order to me verbatim, and so I thought everything would come out okay. First off, this is a delivery. The store was quite close and the delivery took over an hour and a half. Upon arriving, the delivery man drops my food, without even apologizing. The food was sub par, and my most favorite food, hot and sour soup, that was repeated to me by the telephone guy, was not there. What else can I say. Luckily, I was not actually charged for it, so I let it go, until the next day. Upon checking my bank statement, I discovered that I had been double charged for the meal of thirty dollars, and I had been charged 60. I called the store to explain the mistake, and they told me they could not help me unless they got a bank statement. I drove to town to obtain a bank statement, and when I presented it to the manager of the store he told me that the bank had messed up, not the restaurant. Needless to say, I will not be going to this place again, and I would most kindly recommend that neither do you. read more
