Best seafood in the area and the service is always amazing with hot and FRESH food highly recommend

Shrimp, blue crab and crab cake.

Owner was so nice and friendly. Prices were great. We had garlic butter shrimp, a crab cake and garlic butter blue crabs. Everything was so fresh, being from MI, we never get fresh seafood. Highly recommend.

It's a food truck but located a few minutes only from my hotel, so I gave it a trial. $35 a dozen of jumbo male bluecrab cooked in butter and garlic, Maryland style. I ordered a snack, whichnis half a dozen. OMG.

Let's get straight to it. This spot is too 5 in DMV and #1 in Southern Maryland, hands down feet up for there "Catfish Nuggets" This is my go to weekly for my Fried-Fish Fridays, of course when I get the approval of the Mrs. There's been times where we indulge twice a day. He's very friendly and welcoming to his customers on a consistent basis. His food is nice and fresh, golden brown crispy and seasoned well with "old faithful" Old bay and hot sauce. Simply delicious.. Oh please forgive me, I can feel the some looks though the app. The servings side/portions are much more than the picture indicates. It was me, I admit I was too excited for the experience I was prepared to receive that took the picture after my hands and face was greasy! Don''t worry it's worth your money and time.. Check it out!

So you go to a town that is near the ocean, and I swear the best fish in town comes out of this small white food trailer. If you don't mind eating on the curb or sitting in your car, this is the place for you. You don't pay for fancy waitstaff or a brick and mortar storefront, just for fabulous seafood at market value. I had the catfish meal for $8.50. Compared to the few other places in town this price is a steal. Keep in mind this portion size is big enough for 2 people to share. The catfish nuggets were nicely breaded and fried golden brown. The French fries are just plain ole crinkle-cut fries but work nicely with the catfish. One word of advice, bring extra napkins and your own drink and bring your patience. Everything is cooked fresh, made to order and first come, first serve. I waited for 20 minutes but it was well worth it. Also they don't have drinks or any sides.

Service was great! The location was easy to find and lots of parking around the food truck. Everyone was so friendly and patient considering we had a pretty large order. They clearly labeled all of our items, so it was super easy to distribute the meals at dinner -- no sifting through each meal multiple times to find the right order. We waited about 40-45 minutes for an order of 8 items, so I would highly recommend to call ahead for pickup if you can! I ordered the regular spicy butter garlic crab snack w/ potatoes and corn (replaced sausage with extra corn). I can't wait to visit again and try the crab cakes next time!

Everything was so good! I was happy to find crawfish in SOMD. Potatoes corn and sausage were all amazing. I can't believe I hadn't tried them before but I'll be back!

Excellent prices, with great bang for your buck. The food is delicious too! A "food truck" type place, with food to go. Quite the find on a fun trip to Lexington Park, Maryland!

I've been here so many times and it is, hands down, my favorite seafood restaurant in Southern Maryland!!! I thought maybe I would share a menu with everyone; must check it out for yourself!!!

I had the snow crab and shrimp boil, everything excellent one exception the corn was a little overcooked- just doesn't rise to removal of a star. Partner enjoyed catfish and chips, fresh out of the fryer, nice coating and the sauce was a nice dip for the nuggets. He did expect fish flanks but enjoyed the bites just the same.

O.M.G! I cannot stop raving about this food truck. The first time I visited the truck I pretty much ordered one of everything because I couldn't make my mind up. The catfish nuggets were so fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The seafood is sooooo fresh! The sauce is so amaaazing you can drizzle it on a shoe and it would make it taste good. The seafood is worth the hour drive each and every time.

    Butter and garlic plate. ~$19.

Found this place thanks to Yelp. I got the garlic and butter crab plate. A little more butter than I like myself, especially cause they give you butter on the side which definitely would not be needed with all the stuff that pools in the tray. Tasted great and a good amount of crab for the price. The meat came right off the shell to so they cooked them perfectly.

Where ever we dine I am always respectful and accommodating to the staff at each restaurant we enter. When greeted by a waiter or waitress after they ask how we are and introduce themselves, I always respond with, "We are fine, how are you ?". At the close of our meal on June 11 at about 2pm, our waitress asked if we would like separate checks. I have no idea of why she asked this of my husband and I except that we are a bi racial couple. Nonetheless, I find it offensive, and my guess is almost all married couples would also be offended. At no time did we ask or require her to make any assumptions regarding our order, we engaged with her respectfully and directly. I just don't understand why she could ask this and react to us this way, particularly because we were nothing but appreciative and respectful to her. Why couldn't she return that ? What is very revealing is that this never happens when we dine at CD Cafe, Tiki Bar, La Vela, Solomons Pier, Sweetbay, Pier 450, Courtneys, Black Salt, Charleston in Baltimore, Elizabeths in DC, Le Diplomat in DC, or any of the restaurants we have ever dined in Chicago, NYC, London, Paris, or Tokyo.

I found Blue Wind Gourmet searching for Yelp to fuel up after a business meeting and before a long drive in the rain (east coast in February!). I was a bit confused when I walked in. The space is a wine and chocolate bar and has a hipster wine bar look which is suprising for the area. They also have sandwiches (including crab cake) and soup (crab & corn chowder) so I ordered both and settled in. Coffee for me, no wine (too early), but the wine selection looks impressive. The food came out in maybe 5 minutes, hot and fresh. The crab chowder was delicious, plenty of identifiable crab lumps and good flavor. The crab cake also had crab lumps, not just shredded crab. I did wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. It was maybe about 3 inches square. Service was prompt and friendly too.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.
