We had amazing calamari, delicious eggplant parmesan and my husband's "best puttanesca pasta ever" and he is extremely critical. Gab was a very attentive waiter. It's tucked away in the inner corner of a strip mall, but it is very popular and you better have reservations on weekends. Our Server, Daniil, did an outstanding job with recommendations, hospitality, and professionalism. I ordered all appetizers and they were great choices: Roasted Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, and Grilled Artichokes were delicious. Each were nicely presented and going between all three provided different pleasant textures and freshness with every bite. The next selection was the Grilled Branzino. A piece of Branzino that was delectable, didn't require a knife, and the added diced tomatoes and cauliflower just made this dish memorable. The final item was the Penne Pasta. Al dente, had the perfect amount of tomatoes and cheese, and the portion was large. We finished the meal with scoops of vanilla gelato and it was the perfect cap to a delightful meal at a recommended restaurant.

We arrived on a Saturday evening and the wait was extremely long so I would recommend having reservations (we did not), at least on the weekends maybe! I tasted a variety of dishes including the mixed plate (sausages), Wiener schnitzel, German potato soup, and purple cabbage. Although these flavor combos are new to me, they were an interesting, slightly vinegary, and tasty mix. I was happy to experience a new culture and I may be back one day.

The interior brings a lot of charm and nostalgia into a city overtaken by high rises and concrete. We showed up as a party of 6 on a Saturday at 4pm. The main room quickly filled up and FIFA -- France vs. England was on the television. I started out with an Erdinger Wiessbrau while delving further into the menu. They started us out with bread and butter. I went with the German potato soup and Spiessbraten -- pork shoulder stuffed with ground meat, bell peppers, gravy, and dumplings. Others went with the goulash and the Munich lamb shank. I preferred the Goulash out of the various plates. The lamb shank was MASSIVE. That can easily be split by two. We finished off with apple strudel, espresso, and a delicious Irish crème coffee cocktail. This was a great time out with drinks, soccer, delicious German eats, and a warm staff.

Last night (a Tuesday in August) we had the 2 for 1 schnitzel special. Good value. Service friendly and helpful. We arrived about 6:15 PM. No trouble parking which is unusual in the Mizner area. Tuesdays are "trivia nights" (starting at 7 PM) so we opted to avoid the noise and eat outside. While the temperature had to be in the high 80's there were multiple fans so we made the right decision. I suspect after 8 PM the place gets a young and boisterous crowd. You either buy into the atmosphere or you don't.

I was able to find a parking spot, but if you're going during peak hours, valet may be the easier option. The overall atmosphere was lively and fun. There was a live band playing, and although it was busy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We chose to sit outside, which ended up being the perfect spot. We could still enjoy the music without it being too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. For an appetizer, we ordered the buffalo shrimp, which had just a mild kick and was very flavorful. I also had a burger with fries, and the burger was cooked perfectly. By around 9:30 PM, the outdoor area became much busier, with a younger crowd arriving, but the atmosphere remained enjoyable. Our server was attentive throughout the evening, and we never felt rushed. Overall, it was a great place to relax with friends, enjoy good food, and listen to live music. I'd definitely go back!
