Loved my Quiche Lorraine, my child enjoyed savory smoked Salmon crepe...Coffee was surprisingly good. It seems like the place had better days (Wine Bar). The decor is elegant, however looks like inside seating is not popular. The restrooms were dark without working lights. The good thing was the food. The service was also good. But the ambience with regard to the restaurant itself was not. Looks like it needed to be updated, was dark, not at all warm and or inviting. (There was a garden hose laying on the floor). It was also right next-door to their cigar lounge so you could smell cigar smoke. The restaurant is in a nice spot and with not very much expense. I believe they could've made it charming or old world European type of ambience. Maybe better furniture, lighten it up, add some plants and decor and make it more inviting. My crepe was okay, but I expected it to be warm. It was cold , like fridge cold. My sister had the goat cheese quiche, it was not forward flavor and you could taste any of the goat cheese. (I tasted it) The service was alright, nothing to write home about. It was super hot inside the restaurant and they said their ac was broken. They turned on a fan, but still it was very unpleasant. The restaurant is in major need of remodeling. Their floors are all chipped, cracked or broken. The restaurant smells like food, like heavily, so their exhaust fans need to be replaced. We left smelling like food, which is always gross, and unnecessary unless you're having Korean bbq. We entered by the water side and there were cases of water on the floor, stacked with sodas, etc. just not a good look. Overall, I don't think I would go back. read more

What a neighborhood gem! Adorable and cozy inside, and I guess you can also eat outside. We went for breakfast, and they had a wide variety of dishes, including eggs, omelettes, French toast, yogurt, parfait, and more. Everything was fresh and home-cooked. The double smoked bacon was thick and most excellent. At first, I thought it might be a little bit pricey, but for me i'd happily pay it for meals of this quality which you don't see very often at breakfast. I was delighted to order from a brunch menu that wasn't a clone of 100 nearby restaurants. The breakfast menu at Angry Moon Cafe was creative and interesting. The Imported Dynamite was terrific- the crepe was absolutely stuffed with grilled, savory ham and Swiss cheese, the béchamel sauce was a tasty addition; there was just enough to flavor the dish, without overpowering the other flavors. The Vegetable Omelette was equally tasty - again really stuffed with sautéed veggies. We ordered our mains with fresh fruit, although others around us had a delicious-looking salad. Potatoes were also offered. Our coffee was brewed fresh and we were pleasantly surprised that our server came around to refill our cups. The outdoor dining area is lovely, with its water views. The indoor dining room was only half-filled, but it was a beautiful day, and the outdoor tables were all filled. The service was pretty good. Our only negative comment is that the food preparation was interminable - perhaps they were shorthanded in the kitchen, but it took far too long for our food to come out. That said, we enjoyed our meals, and will be back. read more

A simple and classic menu with few ingredients that are always fresh. The inside is very tight and dark but the outside courtyard is right on the harbor so you can boat watch while eating a sandwich and side salad. They have wine and beer and great service. My first time at Angry Moon for breakfast. I had the 4 cheese omelette with fresh fruit. The omelette was delicious but I couldn't enjoy it for long because the A/C was not working. It was so hot and humid in there we had to leave. I wish there had been a sign posted to alert customers before entering but there wasn't. If they get there A/C repaired I would revisit but not until then. read more

I am shocked that I haven't tried this place before, it's located next to the angry moon cigar and Carmine's! Use to be a wine bar according to our waiter and you will see why once you step into this place. Little odd decor but the staff is extremely friendly. They don't take reservations, but will take it if you have a party larger than 4. We arrived around 11am on Sunday and it was pretty busy! Since it was raining we couldn't sit outside (they have a really cute outdoor area). We waited about 20-30 min, they even offered drinks while we waited! As soon as someone left they quickly cleaned and seated us. I ordered the croissant ham and cheese sandwich with a side of fruit, it was delicious! Coffee is also very good! This is a great breakfast spot! I met up with a friend earlier this summer and it was a first visit for both of us. We sat outside with a nice view of the boats and our server was superb. We both enjoyed some lattes and the coffee was excellent! Note: the only flavor offered is caramel. Mine was prepared as ordered and she was equally as pleased with her iced version. Our entrées were fresh. I enjoyed the Scottish salmon fitness builder breakfast which includes organic 3 grain toast with avocado, smoked salmon and sliced tomatoes topped with 2 fried eggs. I opted to replace the fried eggs with well done scrambled eggs. This was paired with a beautiful side salad. There was enough for leftovers, but this meal choice really should be enjoyed on the spot. My friend went in a different direction with her meal, but was also satisfied with her selection. We enjoyed the ambiance, the quality of our meals and the service. The cost is a bit higher than other local establishments, but the quality of the food is up to par. Came in for Sunday brunch last weekend. We arrived around 10:30 and got a table inside. It quickly filled up though and there was a wait. The service was quite slow although my parents said this was not typical since they've been a few times before - maybe just an off day! I got the ham and cheese croissant with a side of fruit and a latte. The croissant is very delicious! It's a good portion. You won't leave hungry! Next time, I'd try one of the crepes! read more

This place was the perfect fit for location and brunch time. We sat outside with some awesome water and boats views. Only downside to sitting outside was service was extremely slow and I'm assuming the servers had tables inside and maybe they were just really swamped inside. My friends were waiting on their straws (bad for the environment, I know I tried to stop them because of the turtles)... Sorry got off track, we waited for multiple things for awhile but it was ok, we were discussing our book for the month. Food wise- Everything I tried tasted really good. Will never be coming back to here. It is now over 1.5 hours- had to check my phone- and still no food. We ordered 3 breakfasts. Several people are just sitting waiting for food. I asked our waiter what happened and they told us there were to go orders and we would have to wait another 30 minutes. Which we did-while seeing several other families be fed who were there after us. I finally asked what has happened and they said they would not serve us. Was this because we are a biracial family?! I hate to think so but when we left I asked for his name to talk to the manager and was told he wouldn't give us his name and started to yell at my husband. I will never come back. Not what I expected. The patio is nice. Service is friendly. My dog is welcomed. But it's no longer a wine bar (their website, Yelp, and Google needs to be updated) and they have a 3% surcharge for using cards (they prefer cash). Unfortunately, at the present, the surcharge isn't mentioned on their website and I didn't know until getting seated. I can't believe I didn't even know this place was here. First off, it's right off the marina if you want al fresco dining. The inside has a cool, European old world feel. I always come for lunch but noticed the killer wine cellar. This place is like a lot of cafes in Europe. Simple menu but somehow it ends up amazing due to great quality, super fresh ingredients. A colleague told me the roast beef sandwich was the best she ever had. I concur. I tried the ham and cheese sandwich the next time. Ommmmmggggggg. Seriously such great options. I tried the chicken vegetable soup and mixed greens salad as sides. Sadly I really just wanted chips. This lunch for $10 is such a great value. You get your ice water in a wine glass. So elevated. Another moron owner who thinks it's fair to charge people to pay their bill. Adding a surcharge for credit cards is abusive and in violation of their agreement with the credit card companies. If owners are such inept business owners that they can't figure out how to prove their products appropriately it makes me wonder where else they cut corners. We used to love this place and the setting is awesome but the quality of the food has declined since they are under new management. It's too bad but today was our last day here. read more
