You can get meats and all kinds of prepared Polish food, donuts, beer, and the most delicious homemade desserts. I was in the area and stopped in to The Old World Polish Deli. I heard many good things about this Mom and Pop Polish restaurant and wanted to give them a try. Upon entering I noticed that there are two sections. On the left side of the store you have all imported Polish goods for sale like pickles, sauerkraut, pickled vegetables and candy and more. There is a deli counter upfront where you can buy homemade kielbasa and other Polish meats, sandwiches, and cold cuts. On the right side of the restaurant there are some tables for dining and you can walk up to the front and place your order. You're greeted by some friendly Polish women. It looked like a mother and her daughter's who worked there. It was a Monday and one woman was making stuffed cabbage for the Tuesday crowd in the back. I was watching her hand make each one while I waited my turn to order. The lady in the back smiled at me. They have all types of hot entrées like potato pancakes, braised beef, Polish sausage sautéed with onions,noodles mixed and sautéed with cabbage, a type of Polish gnocchi is the best way to describe it and more. They also sell five different types of pierogies and you can even get the Polish sausage a.k.a. kielbasa on a sandwich with onions. I wanted to try several different dishes.I placed my ordered for braised beef, 4 potato pancakes, 5 cheese, onion, and potato pierogies, noodles with cabbage, and Polish sausage with onions. I shared everything with my mom. A nice woman brought us the food to our table. Near the entrance they have a large jug with lemon water you can help yourself. There is also Polish Merch for sale. They sell several types of homemade breads, imported Polish drinks, beers, etc.. I must say this is the real deal. The braised beef is a must. It was so fork tender it melted in my mouth. The potato pancakes were excellent large in size, crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. I added sour cream on top of mine. The sautéed noodles, and cabbage was delicious it had some kind of spice that added to its goodness. The Polish sausage, a.k.a. kielbasa was outstanding. It had so much flavor.Next time when I come, I'm going to try it on a sandwich. Someone next to me ordered that and it looks so good. The pierogies were good too.. I was so full I couldn't finish everything and gave my mom the leftovers. There is free parking out front and on the side. This was a true neighborhood deli that offered several options for every palate. One side is an old fashioned deli market with cold cuts and strawberry preserves with a strong emphasis on real Polish keilbasa and smoked krowlewski cheese - both were amazing and highly recommended. I wondered into the adjoining side and noticed plenty of hot meals including pierogi and stuffed cabbage but my eyes were focased on the crispy potato cakes. They also have a prepared food counter and tables to enjoy on the spot. The market has a good selection of Polish beer in cans and bottles, mineral water, wines, cans and jars ranging from mustards to red cabbage, even herring, refrigerated and canned, jams, chocolates, and more! My husband and I shared a pastrami Reuben for lunch. This sandwich has now ruined any Reuben but theirs. The bread was so crispy, not greasy at all. The meat was succulent - juicy but not fatty. We haven't been here in a loooong time. However, I met the somewhat new owner, Bianca, at the pompano Dog Park, and my husband is Polish, so we stopped in today for lunch! Greeted by a very nice lady (Bianca wasn't there), and we sat down at a lovely table. Wow, what a nice job Bianca did on the interior! Lighter, brighter, tables, impact windows, and cute little touches. Les got a plate with a few different items, and he said it was all delicious. I got the five assorted perogies, delish! A great value for yummy all homemade food. Also, there is a deli conter, Les got some kielbasa to take home, and we had some leftovers as well. The best Polish deli in the area! You would think this is a Speak Easy for the best Polish food, it's so good!!! I drove right past the place even with the gps. Believe me, once inside you will be amazed at the food they offer. Their potato pancakes were heavenly. Fresh made and still warm, I ate them plain. Their Rosas donuts are amazing, It's worth the drive just for those donuts. Are they open now? I also bought some potato salad and Polish hot dogs. I served the hot dogs to co-workers and they loved them. The Belinki have a nice snap to them. Their dark rye bread was fresh and flavorful. Itoasted it for breakfast with rosas jam. This is one of the better polish deli's in South Florida. The quality of their foods is very good to excellent. I have traveled from South Miami every Easter to buy the foods I need for Easter dinner. Their strength is the variety and quality of the basic foods. I buy their homemade pierogis, they have a wide selection of kielbasas, my favorite the Butter Lamb. This year I picked up an Easter bread which is very good. Also Farmers cheese. They have other choices of canned polish goods, which I have to resist buying. We always have lunch there after shopping, because they have something I no longer make. The staff is very friendly. Love this family owned and operated cafe/market. Very homey feel with welcoming, friendly and helpful service. It's located in a tiny plaza with minimal parking spots. But so worth the visit. They have a 3-4 tables for dine-in, a small market of items from their region and the deli counter with all their house made sausages, bacon, sandwiches made to order, etc. in the back. For dine in I ordered potato, cheese & onion pierogi topped with sautéed onions and Danish bacon with a side of sour cream. Omg yum! Then because I'm such a bacon fanatic I took some of their gypsy bacon (lean) and sausage (dry) home to try. Enjoyed both but their pierogi and Danish bacon is where it's at for us. They have a variety of pierogi flavors to chose from for dine in or frozen to take home. Highly recommend their pierogi and Danish bacon. I had visited the Old World Polish Deli and bistro in Pompano Beach, FL last week daily, due to my amazement of the quality, and taste of their Polish gourmet culinary excellence. I hope the Deli will expand to the full scope restaurant soon. I have never cooked in my life, but travel to Poland and dine at the best Poland has to offer. My palette is very refined, so please trust me, when I state, that Ms. Magda's authentic , classic recipes are superior to any gourmet traditional restaurant in Poland I have dined, (21 restaurants in 3 weeks for the last 15 years). The Old World Polish Deli Master Chef Ms. Magda had offered to me a kaleidoscope of Polish traditional dishes from soups to crapes, and pierogi (dumplings) with meat, cheese, blueberries with my personal touch of my grandmother's special sour cream and vanilla sugar. The cheese crapes, blueberry pierogi plus all other dishes I ate there were out of this world. Smooth, delicate perfectly seasoned - Polish fleur. This year's Christmas Dinner theme is Polish, celebrating my ethnic heritage, and this store served my needs perfectly. There are many different kinds of Kielbasa and Pierogis, along with homemade cabbage rolls, pastries, and bread. We also picked up some bottles of Zywiec beer! Serving us was a very friendly young woman named Bianca, who welcomed us with open arms, and helped us decide amongst the many different items they have for sale. She even gave us samples of the various types of smoked kielbasa, all of which were outstanding. They also have poppy seed and walnut rolls for sale at the front counter along with Paczki donuts with raspberry filling. We stopped into this deli looking for kielbasa, and found so much more! Fantastic authentic Polish food available hot and fresh in just a few minutes as well as plenty of frozen options to take home. After a friendly conversation with one of the staff, we decided to order some dishes for lunch. The stuffed cabbage was rich and flavorful, and we couldn't get enough of the pierogis! The rest of the store has a wide selection of Polish products and deli items - the Outlaw kielbasa and double smoked bacon are a must try.
