One of my favorite restaurants. I always get the fried chicken schnitzel with a double order of pickled cabbage and give the salted pretzel and the bratwurst to my hubby who loves dipping those into their spicy deli mustard. They are famous for their liters of German beers but I had an Aperol spritz.

The food was authentic, the beer was plentiful and the service was great!!!!! I definitely recommend it!

So much food, so worth it!! Service was great and fast. Chicken schnitzel was so good and I had enough for left overs.

Great food. We got there a little early for lunch but the options were pretty good. We had a lager beer and shared a pretzel that didn't make it to the picture.

Oh my gosh! How did I not know this place existed? I love German food, but most of the options I've tried in the Miami area have been disappointing. I guess I gave up looking for a good German place. But this October, i decided to try again and stumbled upon Wunderbar. So glad I did. From the excellent service to the delicious food, from the broad menu of German beers to the laid back atmosphere - everything was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

First time here and everything was great! The service could've been a little bit better as our waiter took longer than anticipated to even greet the table. The beers took a little bit longer to arrive than would be anticipated, and the food took longer to arrive for the place, not being as full as it was. Other than the service, the food was very well prepared and very tasty. I lived in Germany for over 18 years and it was very reminiscence of my time there. It's amazing how draft German beer can taste the same here as it does over there. A very distinctive taste that can't be replicated with any other beer here. Not even German beer bottles. Kudos to a job well done, but would work on the weight staff being a little bit more attentive.

I love this place! The food is always amazing and they have great beer options. Servers are really friendly, dog friendly patio.

Also outside! Fun spot!

Great beer selection! First the Dunkel, then a light Pilsner! Both equally good in their own genres.

Delicious dinner, friendly service. If you'd like a delicious roast pork knuckle dinner you can't go wrong. The schnitzel looked great too.

The interior brings a lot of charm and nostalgia into a city overtaken by high rises and concrete. We showed up as a party of 6 on a Saturday at 4pm. The main room quickly filled up and FIFA -- France vs. England was on the television. I started out with an Erdinger Wiessbrau while delving further into the menu. They started us out with bread and butter. I went with the German potato soup and Spiessbraten -- pork shoulder stuffed with ground meat, bell peppers, gravy, and dumplings. Others went with the goulash and the Munich lamb shank. I preferred the Goulash out of the various plates. The lamb shank was MASSIVE. That can easily be split by two. We finished off with apple strudel, espresso, and a delicious Irish crème coffee cocktail. This was a great time out with drinks, soccer, delicious German eats, and a warm staff.

We spent many vacations in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and gained an affinity for fine Bavarian-style German food... Old Heidelberg brought back the nostalgia and unique flavors that Bavaria has to offer. Our hotel attendant recommended the restaurant as it's a less than a 1/2 mile walk from the hotel... We gladly obliged, as the Yelp reviews were great. Glad we did because Old Heidelberg was excellent. The restaurant looks like the classic Bavarian joint, with all the decor, music, and quintessential German-feel... When you walk in you instantly want a German draft beer (and they have a great selection to choose from); recommend starting with the dark lager and ending with the pils. As for the food, it was some of the best Bavarian we've had in the States. Everything was scratch cooking, huge portions (way too much to eat in one setting), friendly/prompt service, and simply outstanding. My only complaint was Old Heidelberg was astonishingly expensive ($130 for dinner w/ tip, 2 people... 4 beers and two entrees)... Aside from the hefty price, this place is worth the stop when in town. Dave Portnoy 7.9

From flaky treats to hearty breads, everything in the bakery case looked tempting, and the prices for the baked goods themselves were very reasonable. There's also a nice selection of imported German items that are definitely on the pricier side, but that's expected for authentic products brought in from overseas. The pretzel bread was a standout for me -- soft on the inside, perfectly chewy on the outside, and full of that classic Bavarian flavor. They offer plenty of fresh loaves and traditional German pastries, and it's the kind of place where you can easily walk out with more than you planned because everything looks so good. You can eat in, and the space is cozy, but we opted for takeout this time. The counter service was friendly and helpful, even with a steady flow of customers. It feels like a neighborhood spot with a loyal following, and I can see why. If I'm on that side of town again, I'd definitely go back for more fresh bread and pastries.

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.

When we first pulled up, the parking lot was nearly empty, and inside there were only a few people scattered around. My companion went straight to the restroom, so I found a seat at the bar. The first thing we were told was that the kitchen was already closed even though it was only 9 PM which was a bit disappointing since I was hungry. Since it's an Irish pub, they mainly serve beer and wine, so I ordered a Guinness followed by a light beer. Despite the slow start, the night turned out to be unexpectedly enjoyable. We ended up meeting some wonderful people from Italy, Poland, and Turkey. It was especially nice connecting with the gentleman from Turkey, as I had traveled there last year, and we had a great conversation about that experience. The same went for the gentleman from Italy. It was refreshing and easy to talk to everyone. Even after closing, we stayed outside for a while continuing our conversations. The atmosphere inside the pub had a classic Irish feel, very reminiscent of my time in Ireland years ago, with signed celebrity photos decorating the walls adding to its charm. Also money from various countries. The lady behind the bar was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the night, constantly checking in and making sure we were taken care of. It's been years since I last visited, but after this experience, I'll definitely be going back soon.

A piece of Branzino that was delectable, didn't require a knife, and the added diced tomatoes and cauliflower just made this dish memorable. The final item was the Penne Pasta.
