We deviated from our usual and ordered many Howie Maui pizzas which consists of ham AND bacon, pineapple, and topped with mozzarella cheese because who doesn't like pineapple of their pizza? This was delicious - the toppings were a plentiful and hearty. The mozzarella cheese had the nice cheese pull. Even non-pineapple likers were into the pizza. I placed an order and the "owner" delivered it, I called 2 hrs later under the impression that it still hadn't gotten delivered & they told me it was outside my door. I went to look and it indeed was there, I checked my cameras to check when they dropped it off and it was an hr before I had even called, so obviously the food was cold. The owner first said he waited more than 5 mins because he liked to "hand" the pizza off, which was a lie because I checked the cameras and he wasn't even there for 1 min, when I told him that he said "i didn't actually time myself" then why try to make it seem like you were waiting so long?? I then asked why he didn't ring the doorbell or knocked, he said he rang the doorbell, which is not true because it was a house full of people one of us would've heard it. I told him I wanted a refund because the food was cold and he asked if I had touched the food. I told him no, I had just grabbed it bc I didn't know it was left on the floor. I told him he never rang my doorbell and I was watching the video on my phone, he then proceeded to tell me "come show me and I'll refund you double". If I was able to just get up & go I would've gone no questions asked. But that's not the case I paid for the delivery for a reason. I told him since I had paid for the delivery that he could come pick it up and I would show him the footage to receive my refund, he said no. Careful this place will rob you I ordered $45 worth of pizza and gave the driver $60 asked for change so I can tip the driver and he said he doesn't have any, not once did the clerk over the phone asked if I would need change so I assumed he would send some, I paid the guy no harm done and the driver got a $15 dollar tip, and the pizza was cold when it got here (bummer) the worst part is that when I called the store and asked the why there was no change sent the manager didn't seem to care and I asked if there's anything he can do and he said no. Hungry Howie's is now my go to pizza place in BAKO. They are affordable and super quick for delivery. Plus their online menu makes it easy to customize your pizza (half and half, little of this, little of that), add extra sides (I love me some ranch), and drinks and desserts as well. One great thing about this place too is they have different flavored crusts! yes, I love their jalapeno Parmesan crust. The original crust is good and fluffy and tasty (and I am not a crust eater on my pizza), but this place I eat the whole thing! So actually don't go here if your avoiding carbs because that is just impossible haha. Great service by the drivers and the pizza is always quick and hot! We were on our way to Subway and we saw those pizza shop although they did have sandwiches two we didn't order them but we will get them next time because they have really good deals before 4PM. We were both really confusing about to leave because there's so many choices. The guy at the front counter was really helpful and explained everything including the coupons and app. We always get stuff crust and they actually had a stuffed crust pizza. We ordered a large stuffed crust with two toppings and we ordered an extra topping for a couple dollars more. Prices are really reasonable and will definitely come back. Awesome consistent pizza. I'm a big fan of the garlic and herb crust and the ranch crust. What makes this location extra awesome is the owners. SUPER nice guys. I went in tonight to pick up my first pizza. Another guy came in behind me. Their card readers went down due to some server issues. They were super kind and apologized for making us wait. Me and the guy behind me (hey Mike!) got our pizzas for free, and many apologies even though it was outside of their control. Their flavored crust is why I decides to try this place. I got the hawaiian pizza with the cajun crust. The pizza itself had good flavor, but they totally SKIMP on the toppings. See attached photo - the toppings stop about 2 inches from the crust . And the crust- was little disappointed that the crust flavor was super mild. I couldn't really taste the "cajun" flavor. New place, the pizza tasted pretty good! Small place for take out only (and delivery) but service was just fine. We ordered a large, one topping pizza that was ready in time and served hot and fresh. The mushrooms were fresh, thankfully. No one wants canned mushrooms, right?! Under $8 for the grand opening special. I should have checked the Yelp app first as today, for Cinco De Mayo, you can get a large 1 topping for $5.55! Ordering on line was pretty easy. You do have to pay with a credit card for the order to process. The wait was 20 min. Reasonable for sure. Be careful with any modifications or changes as they do charge for everything. EX...Extra sauce is extra $. A bit unusual. Bacon as your 1 topping is extra even though it is not marked as a premium item as some other items are (like grilled chicken). You can choose from thin or regular crust too. What makes this place different is the flavored crusts they are known for. I have to recommend the garlic herb. Yummy! The parents were out of the house and my little sister wanted Pizza so I went ahead and ordered from this Hungry Howie's location and we had a pretty mediocre experience. I set the order for a Large Pizza and a Cheese-Bacon Stuffed bread at 8:10 PM, and was told it would take approximately 45 minutes(8:55 PM). However, the whole process actually took 1 hour and 29 minutes long (9:39 PM). At that point, my little sister and I were just happy to get dinner. The meal itself, however, was subpar compared to past times we've ordered from Hungry Howie's. The pizza was alright but certainly not "Oh man, this sure made up for all the time it took to get here"-good, and the bread tasted like a sad, doughy Bacon/Cheese Hot Pocket. What is this strange pizza place located in an obscure part of a strip mall zipping down Rosedale Highway? I mean, it's practically hidden - blink and you'll miss it. Slowly, I've noticed these small bright yellow pizza spots popping up around town in some of the most odd locations. Quite frankly, some of the more inexpensive retail spots TBH. I came across a few Yelp reviews and saw that their claim to fame was their flavored crust. I immediately recalled the days of Pizza Huts' cheesy garlic parmesan and butter crust along with those cheesy stuffed crust pizza's. Oh those were the days. Don't even get me started on the bbq chicken pizza's...I digress. The boyfriend was immediately taken with the Cajun flavor crust. After all, Cajun is his favorite Wingstop wing flavor! We debated for a good half hour over which flavors we wanted I finally caved and let him decide. There were simply too many options and too many combinations of crusts and flavors to win people over. Plus, it's pizza. We chose delivery. We never choose delivery. But we chose delivery. 35-40 minutes was the estimated delivery time during the 830pm hour and while it felt like an eternity when you're hungry I'm pretty sure it's standard in the weekend pizza world. The pizza delivery guy was super nice and delivered hot pizza on time - woohoo! We dug in like ravenous college kids. Apparently, HH allows you to choose half pizza flavor toppings and crusts allowing you to try twice as many combinations as possible. Outstanding Crust + Pizza Combo of the Evening: Hawaiian + Bacon + Jalapeno Topping w/ Cajun Crust. Cajun is a little salty, sweet, and spicy. It's an interesting flavor that I could totally eat on it's own if it came in just bread. Yes, it's salty. And if you're not into salty stuff, maybe this a flavor you should stay away from. Thin Crust was really good but don't count on getting much of that flavor crust. Obviously there isn't much crust there in the first place. We also ordered a salad. Why the BF ordered a salad from a pizza place is beyond me, but he did. It wasn't great. In fact, it was just sub-standard. Your normal salad. Stick with pizza and you'll be good! read more

I love this place! I think the pizza is delicious and I love the Howie's cheese bread. My family orders from here at least once a week and it's always been great until The last 2 weeks. They have screwed our order up. I placed the order the first week and when I called the lady asked if I wanted the same thing I'd ordered before. I asked her what the order was and decided to get the same this time. It was 2 large Thin Crust 1 topping pizzas (one with pepperoni, one with cheese) an order of Howie cheese bread and a soda. When it came everything was good except the cheese pizza was not thin crust. I called them immediately and informed them. The lady told me she remembered talking to me and she said she mentioned that my other order wasn't thin crust. I let her know That wasn't true because I tried the thin crust and loved it on the previous order and that's why I wanted Hungry Howie's! She said she'd have to talk to her manager and placed me on hold. When she came back she was slightly irritated but said they'd send me another pizza. When the delivery guy came he was very apologetic and said they gave us 2 medium thin crust cheese pizzas instead. Good job! Second time my fiancé called. Same thing happened to him. I even told him to make sure to mention that he wanted the cheese pizza thin crust. This time I didn't even call them back and tell them. I plan on continuing to order from them and don't want to be labeled a complainer so I let it slide but I did not eat any of the pizza. Honestly I am going to give hungry Howie's five stars based on the fact that their pizza is super super good if you know how to order properly and I know how to order my pizza from there!!!I think the key is getting the pizza a little more well done and with extra sauce if you do not do it that way then the Pizza Can tend to sometimes be a little dry and a tiny bit under done, but if you know how to order it properly then you won't have any problems. Hungry Howie's has super amazing pizza for the price! I absolutely love the different selections of flavored crust. My personal favorite is the Cajun it is absolutely amazing the ads just the perfect amount of spice to your pizza crust. I like to be a little adventurous with things so I always do the Cajun crust also with the butter cheese flavor and add some Asiago! It's really nice when you order online because you can pick which side you want for toppings or the flavored crust you can mix and match whatever you want it's really nice doing it online. I have never ordered anything else from there besides pizza but my daughter said that they have really good wings. Today I was really impressed with my custom made pizza I ordered it online completely different on both sides and it came out perfectly. Honestly for the price this is great pizza. We've ordered 6 times now, one time the pizza was eh, but the rest of the times it's been great. They're not cheap with the sauce cheese or toppings. The flavored crust is a fun twist, a little salty for my taste but it's the only crust my kids will eat. Their hot wings are some of the best as far as pizza delivery, not breaded and very saucy. They always have a special for 99¢ you get a small pizza or bread or whatever the special is, best value and my kids love it. Another HUGE bonus, they open at 10 am! We always do pizza for lunch on Sundays and being able to order at 10 is the reason we tried this place the first time.
