You know the saying, "even when pizzas bad- it's still good". Ya- that DOESN'T apply here! We get a lot of pizza in our house. We have 5 kids- 4 of which could literally eat pizza everyday of their lives and not tire of it. It's not to say that they are one of those kids that only eat like 3 foods, they just truly love pizza. With that being said, I usually opt for good pizza, small mom and pop places/restaurants or their favorite Olivers. I ended up here because I was gifted a certificate at Christmas. I was in the neighborhood and figured I better use the gift certificate before I forget about it. Let's just get this painful experience over quickly. I placed my order online and got right to the exact amount of the gift certificate. There was a few coupons online so I chose the one that gave us the most food for my money. Again let me remind you again I have five kids! I pulled up at the store exactly at the time it said it would be ready. I walked in and this is when it went downhill. I literally stood there for over five minutes before someone even acknowledge me. I could see them in back (which was 3 ft away!) and here their personal conversation. When I was finally approached by the employee she immediately noticed my gift certificate on the counter. She said I could not use my gift certificate along with the coupon code I used online. I was baffled. I proceeded to ask her to explain. She said that I was NOT allowed to use a coupon code online and pay with a gift certificate. It was one or the other. So let me get this straight, I said to her, my gift certificate which is pretty much the same as money, cannot be used along with a coupon!? Nope she said. I asked if I could speak to the manager, and I'll give you one guess who the manager was. Her. I had two options. I could either pay full price for my items and use the gift certificate. Or I could use the coupon price for my items but have to pay out of my pocket. Considering that two medium pizzas with one topping each amount to over $20, she was crazy to think that I was giving her any money! My original online order was 2, 1-topping medium pizzas, Howie bread and an large Italian sub, all of which came to $24 and change with the coupons. But because I had a gift certificate, and couldn't use a coupon code, my total would have been $35. I was all the way here, far from my house, and I had a gift certificate I needed to get rid of. I ended up buying the two medium 1-topping pizzas at full price for $21 and just used the worthless gift certificate. I got home and the 2 pizzas were exactly like the employee's attitude-shitty!! The pizzas were burnt to a crisp and the topping were null and void. Out of my family of 7, we didn't even finish them. They next day 5 pieces, out of 16 total pieces, went straight into the garbage. Do yourself a favor stay way from here. Within a 3 mile radius you MUCH better pizza options than this garbage. Go to Luigis or Brioni's down the street on Jefferson. Or even Little Caesars is better than here! read more

I have already escalated a complaint to headquarters in regards to the owner Harold and his lack of customer service skills. I was laughed at on the phone by employees when I made a request for what I was offered by a previous employee. I've never been treated this way by any business. The owner basically called me a liar for a 2 dollar credit LOL!!!! They clearly don't value their customers there or at least ones like me . Even after I told Harold I would no longer be buying there he still had no shame in his game and said well there's nothing he could do . Placed an order online for a large supreme, a cheese bread, a salad and a 2 liter for delivery. After an hour and a half I called and the employee had to get a manager because they had no idea where our food was. The manager said the food was on its way. 20 minutes later our food arrived and we were informed that it was free of charge, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was good and warm which leads me to believe the food was not being made when I called. If the food was not so late I would give it 5 stars, and if the order was not free of charge I would give it 1 star. read more

We had a long day yesterday and it was 1AM by the time we exited the freeway and thought about finding a pizza for dinner. I tried to call a couple of our favorite pizza places but they were closed. We saw the lights were still on at Hungry Howie's and decided to try a pizza since we were out of time and other options. It took 15 minutes from placing the order to getting the pizza and I paid a few dollars less than I normally do. We were delighted with the pizza. The pizza had lots of delicious toppings, plenty of cheese, a tasty sauce and the Asiago cheese crust was excellent. So while I have driven by Hungry Howie's many times in the past I am looking forward to many of their tasty pizzas in the future. read more

Can't believe this place charges extra to have extra cheese instead of a topping on their pizzas. If you do the $7.99 two topping and choose pepperoni and extra cheese as your toppings, they charge you for the cheese. Literally this place is the only Hungry Howies in the area that does this. Never coming back here again, I'll drive the extra 5 minutes and go to Groesbeck where they don't charge to have cheese as a topping!!!! read more

I hate to do this, but the customer service was by far the worst I ever experienced. We ordered at 7:07 pm on a Thursday. We were told a delivery time of 45 minutes. An hour later I called, they said driver should be there in a couple minutes. Another half hour goes by and now I'm hangry....they wanted to argue that they said 60-90 minutes. I read them the emAil I received. See, the issue here was, if it was going to be late, tell me the first time. I would understand. The female manager was rude, the male manager kept thinking I was threatening him. We live a quarter of a mile from the place and it took over an hour and 45 minutes to get 1 pizza and 1 sub. I would hate to see what will happen on a night a big game is going on. Up until tonight, this was a place we ordered from for years....we will never order from there again. Not very happy with the past few time I've ordered from here. They have someone answering the phones that doesn't know what their doing. I get the same thing every time and it was a lot more then usually I ask why and he says idk. Great answer. Then this last time I ordered wait 20 mins I go to pick it up and sure enough they don't have my pizzas ready not even a ticket for my order. Then makes me wait another 20 mins. Harold the store owner is a jerk and yelled at me over the phone after the app let me order from his store for delivery. Never called me to tell me they won't honor my order. I called after 1.5 hours and was told my order was on the way and they were busy. I called again at 2 hours and the manager got on the phone and told me they will not deliver and they cancelled my order 2 hours ago. Just had a very bad experience with this place. Ordered a pizza and antipasto salad. after over an hour, mind you i live about a half mile from store, we called to check on where the pizza was. The delivery person told the manager he knocked on door and no one was home.(lie,was here with front door open watching Tiger game!) So we had to rerun debit card #, then waited another 45 min . This time I saw the car drive right past my address ! Called the store to tell them I saw him fly by my house and to call driver and tell him to turn around. I had to go stand in front of my house and wave this guy down! When i asked him if they thought about using Google maps he told me it didn't work around here. A that point i pulled out my phone and punched in address and bingo I explained to him he was standing right where the big red balloon was! Very bad, never again!!
