I've never had hungry Howies...so I decided to pop in...& to my surprise there pizza is very very tasty the crust was very fresh & they have many different crust flavors that adds to the great flavor of the pizza the toppings & cheese are plentyful & made with craftsmenship & care...as the pizza maker was making it for his or her self!!! And I got the cheese bread & it was fire very huge & flavorful for the price & that have many many more flavors of bread sticks & deserts!!! While in South Bend, we were looking for some cheap food and pizza sounded really good. My husband has never been to Hungry Howie's, so we went there. I was surprised how good the pizza was considering it was less than $20 for small and large pizza. If we lived close, this would definitely be my go to over Little Caesars. They have all the toppings you would expect at the average pizza joint. I do love that they have flavored crust options. My husband and I both got the herb crust and it was delicious. I never thought I'd give 5 stars to a $6 pizza but Hungry Howie's exceeded my expectations when it came to cheap pizza. It took a whole hour to get home from the restaurant, and the food was still warm. The grease hasn't solidified yet, which a lot of other pizzas I've bought would within an hour on the road. Terrible experience, ordered 2 pizzas, flat bread, Howie bread and salad for delivery. 1 pizza, Howie bread and salad were delivered. Called to speak about our order and first employee argues with us that everything was delivered. Then argued that they were not going to redeliver. Second employee got on and argued the same issues. He said they were just going to deliver the flat bread. We had him ask the delivery, who confirmed he only delivered 1 pizza. The "manager" continued to argue that they delivered everything. When we asked for his name he stated "why would you need my name" then would not provide his name. Finally agreed to send us are pizzas, stated he couldn't tell us how long but probably be another 45 minutes. 2.5 hours later the pizzas showed up with just a" Sorry for the inconvenience" from the teenage driver. I can't remember ever going to a Hungry Howie's Pizza, yet I felt compelled to visit. I often go pass this location to get to the speedway gas station or one of the many other options for food in the southbend area. I'm also not much of a pizza fan unless it's authentic with ingredients that won't bother my stomach. With that said I found this pizza to be about average, but better then most other chains. The price is more than reasonable for what you get, the flavors are there, but so is the oil at a fraction of the amount the other chains have. The wait to get a pizza is also reasonable if you call ahead. I can't say ordering online is your best bet, only because during my first attempts, I was given an error message. Once I called there was a delightful message service announcement that explain specials and pricing with a disclosure that some areas are a dollar more. All in all if I was to recommend a cheaper pizza location then I would recommend this one. Although my pizza sauce was cold which isn't nearly as tasty as warm sauce on warm breadsticks. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS... This pizza is garbage.... It took me back to my days of elementary school eating cruddy school pizza. I have licked the bottom of shoes that tasted better. This is the first...and last time I will order this pizza. The toppings were mediocre at best. Comparable to little Caesarss or other low end chains. But let me tell you...I would eat at LC any day over this place. This Hungry Howie's location has never disappointed-- it is ALWAYS fresh, and SO delicious! I'm a big fan of Hungry Howie's in general, and this particular location is excellent. I've had my fair share of pizza in my lifetime, from chicago deep dish to thin and crispy. Hungry Howies is your average delivery pizza joint with one big exception, Flavored Crust. They offer about 8 to 10 different kinds of seasonings for the pizza that add a great flavor to every piece. I would highly recommend the Philly Cheese Steak Pizza. Another thing that sets H-H apart from other pizza chains is there excellent subs and salads. The salads run about 5-6$ but could easily feed 3-4 people. There are only a couple downfalls to this establishment. 1) is they charge a $2+ delivery fee that the driver does not get, so you feel obligated to also tip the driver on top of the delivery fee 2) They don't have the best location, you could pass by 100 times and never know it was there, There is no room inside for seating or dine in (shame) and the "lobby" often becomes congested on weekends due to a lack of room. read more

This is the first time we've gotten a pizza and breadsticks from here. We ordered a large sausage with extra cheese well done and an order of garlic breadsticks. The pizza it's self was OK had a little bit too much sauce for my liking next time I order I will order light on the sauce. Garlic crust was great pizza it's all tasted a little salty the breadsticks were good the garlic butter dip that came with Them we did not care for her at all! This still seems to be way better than Papa John's which we will not order from again and about the same as dominoes to us. I think they need to lighten up on the pizza sauce because it really doesn't taste all that good but all in all it was just a little better than OK read more

It is so very hard for me to buy a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza from anywhere else. HH has the best around. We usually do carry out since we are not used to pizza places delivering to our house because we live south of town. This is the one place that does deliver to us even though we are slightly out of their delivery range. They are quick and answer any question I have without sounding like I am bothering them. They have a huge variety of crust toppers which pretty much turns the crust into a delicious breadstick. They always have great deals going on even without the coupons that come in the mail. If you order online you earn rewards towards free pizzas. My only regret is that I didn't try HH sooner. read more

It has been a while since I had the pizza here. I received a flyer in the mail about getting an order of cheesy bread for 33 cents so I really enjoyed the bread before so I thought why not. I placed the order online and ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and mushrooms and cheesy bread. I decided to do delivery and was surprised they charge 3.50 for this while other places charge much less. The food arrived and it looked great except the bread was not cheesy but the regular bread.
