First time eating at a Hungry Howie's stopped on my way back to my hotel just around the corner. Ordered 10-in pizza and was told it would take about 10 minutes. The dining room was empty when I came in and one couple came in after me. I patiently waited about 25 minutes with no notification about my pizza., then I asked if the counter if they forgot or had to remake it or something. The girl walks back and looks and it's sitting on a shelf right behind the counter while I've been sitting there at a table Soni 30 minutes waiting. Not a word out of the girl at the counter she just hands it to me with a dumb look on her face with no apology or explanation. Horrible customer service abs attention to customers. I got the pizza back to my hotel maybe 5 minutes away and by the time I opened it it wasn't very warm and the whole center of the pizza was soggy. I assume that's from sitting too long because the outer crust was actually not bad. If the crust wasn't soggy it would have been a pretty decent Pizza but I don't know if that's normal or because of the extra wait. read more

They advise that they close at midnight, today is a Wednesday. We put in an online order at 9:51pm. Said we would receive a confirmation email shortly. Never received it, so 15 minutes later we decided to call to make sure they got the order. Was met with a prerecorded message that they are closed...and yet they let us put in an online order. Checked out bank account, money was taken out from hungry howie's. Currently, at 10:53pm the tracker says order completed and delivered. Lie. We never received our order. And can't even get ahold of anyone at the store. We sent in a complaint to the main office. We're looking for a full refund and credit towards another order...if we even decide to order through them again. We normally go to Mr Pizza, but just wanted something cheap tonight. Jokes on us...guess you get what you pay for. UPDATE: Just wanted to say, pizza finally showed up almost a half hour after the tracker said it was delivered. Still, we will never order from hungry howes again. The lack of organization and not answering their phone, is not very business like. The frustration could have been completely avoided if 1. They sent a confirmation email 2. Answered their phone 3. The online tracker was accurate. Not happy, but we learned our lesson. **PICK-UP / ONLINE ORDER ONLY** Today was my coworker and I luck day - there was a 51% off deals for online orders which was super simple and give an estimated time. When I arrived it had been 30mins between the time I ordered and picked, food was almost ready and I was kinda happy it wasn't sitting too. Ordered from here for the very first time. Never had Hungry Howie's. I can say it is way better than the other pizza chains. The pizza was what a pizza should taste like. Perfect portions of toppings and delicious. We ordered an all meat pizza, salad and wings. I can say also the wings were fantastic and better than the other pizza chains. The pizza is good when it's done right. But you have a 50/50 chance that it will have very little sauce, if any. Nobody likes a dry pizza.

1st offence. Driving 20 minutes 10 miles call on the way and answer machine says hold on we'll pick up soon. Not ! Got there still holding and found closed. That was week before Christmas. 2021 Next on 12/31 6:00,PM Ordered on the way they actually picked up the phone. Order ready in 30 minutes they say. Arrive 6:25 rang it right up then tells you it isn't even in the oven yet 15 more minutes. Waited 30 more minutes and inquired again and told it's still not in the oven. Bitched up a storm demanded refund and told them I could see what the problem was. They were catering and favoring the delivery orders and shoving pick up to the back of the line repeatedly. The POS manager that let this go on should be fired. This is one Howie's I won't ever visit or recommend to anyone. If they quote a time they need to meet that time not lie about it over and over. Pizza and sub bread is consistently under cooked. Not bad if you like raw or gooey bread... Quality used to be a lot better 1-2 years ago. It's so bad, that when you call to say the pizza is under cooked they send out a new one...that's also under cooked. It's just not worth my time to even complain anymore. Mr Pizza is a lot better currently. I order something every few months from Hungry Howies and have yet to be satisfied with an order. I ordered online for pick up, the website told me 20 minutes but since it was a Friday I gave it more time. I had two medium pizzas, two howie breads & a two liter. I came about 40 minutes after I ordered and when I walked in they were slammed. All of the tables were full of people waiting for orders. Even after coming in 40 minutes after ordering I had to wait. I only expected to wait a few minutes but stood there for at least 15, honestly I don't think they even put it in the oven until I got there. At least I utilized the coupons (don't forget to check in!) so I didn't pay more than $20 Overall the pizza was good, they kinda skimped on the cheesy crust. Our breads were under cooked and the cheese on one of them just reminded me of food colored imitation cheese. WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. worker was new and put the wrong address down. Instead of calling us at the number on the caller ID, we called them back after 2 hours of getting no food. Manager answered when I called back and yelled at me because "they are busy and short staffed and his driver is mad that he went to the wrong address". THEN PROCEEDED TO HANG UP ON ME. Yes pick some random seasoning, blindfold yourself so you do not accidentally get what you might have wanted. Call some arbitrary teenage stoner and attempt to have a rational convo with him, you must stay on the phone until you achieve some type of coherent response. Wait one hour after that convo. Nuke cardboard for 45 seconds. Throw ten bucks out of your window into a stiff breeze. Now try to eat the cardboard. Yep. Same experience as pizza from here. read more

Pretty sure I just had one of the best pizzas I've ever had! I was perfect! I have not one single complaint!

I've been to this location quite a few times and I can say before eating at this specific location I didn't like hungry Howies. I've gotten some really delicious pizzas from this location. They made my order incorrectly once but the manger Jared and hi steam made sure they made it up to me. What I liked most was that they didn't make it seem like it was a big deal to correct the error. They fixed everything and earned me a regular customer. At This current location there are plenty of other pizza options but I would recommend this one before any others in the area. read more

Recommended by those in the Metro Detroit area, I decided to check out Hungry Howie's. Before I continue, the pizza did not taste bad. How is Howie's? If you were to perform a blind taste test, you probably say you were eating Pizza Hut. The words "Deep Dish" conjure a pizza experience that tries to meet Chicago-type pizza, but this is a pan pizza with nothing special about it. If you're looking for local flavor, there are other places to call when it comes to pizza. I rate by starting at 5, then I add or subtract accordingly - 1 for being just so-so, and 1 for duplicating Pizza Hut. I subtracted 1 for not holding up to recommendations; subtracted 1 for calling greasy pan pizza a deep dish; and another subtraction of 1 for mediocre taste and texture. read more

Placed a delivery order and received the wrong pizza. When I called to inform them about the mistake, I was told that I would receive a free pizza to make up for it. However, when I called to order my replacement pizza I was told that they had no record of the mistake and refused to give me my free pizza! So, beware of this store. They're not serious about their business. read more
