Hunnicutt's is your standard seasonal ice-cream stand. They also serve sherbet that is always good, and typically they have 2 rotating flavors. They also serve snacky fried food. It isn't the best, but you're getting what you pay for. There is a drive through, or a walk up window for orders. Plenty of outside seating as well. Service is sometimes a hit or miss, but please take into account that the majority of staff are high schoolers needing a summer job. This is a great local and inexpensive place to bring your family on a hot summer day. read more

I used to live in Muncie so I've been visiting Hunnicutts for a while. I would have them a 5 but due to poor customer service by Phillip they are getting a 2. I walked up to the counter a lady was outside had already placed her order and was standing back. I was right there at front window waiting. Phillip comes up and acknowledges the lady behind me, doesn't say who is next but ask can he help her. I told him I was next in line. Then when i told young man about his behavior he told me it didn't happen. Phillip please learn better customer skills, only can think you had a problem with my skin color abs decided to help someone who looks like you. I won't ever be visiting this place again. read more

Great sherbert and ice cream as well as food just the fact that service needs attention

I got the peanut butter fudge sundae and sadly they ran out of peanut butter. So, I tried just a hot fudge sundae and I will say it tasted really good. The price was good for the sundae as well. The drive through was a little difficult to get through, but the staff was very nice. read more

Me and My grandpa were free to go somewhere after visiting my grandpas girlfriend so we went to Hunnicutt's in Muncie and got strawberry shurbert ice cream there was no line our order was fast and the ice cream was delicious not much else to add 5/5 stars would definitely come again read more

Oh my God are they slow. It took forty minutes just to get a milk shake. It was good when I got it. It took forever though. Workers show absolutely no concern on being efficient or speeding the process up. read more

This is actually a small, facility, busy with locals ENJOYING their great sundaes, shakes & cones, & more. I was surprised at the cleanliness, quality servings, & very reasonably price. Didn't have the pleasure to have their lunch/dinner options but their ice cream was great! My boyfriend got a free swirl cone with his BSU ID (a pretty generous portion) and I got a hand dipped cone (strawberry ice cream and chocolate dip). Good thing they don't have a rewards program/punch card because wow I would go through them fast. They also have a daily special for the weekdays. read more

Funny old school drive in with WAY too much on the menu. If you want something frozen or deep fried, it's probably available. I had a double cheeseburger - fully dressed, an order of "Munchers" - fried cheesey jalapeno jobberz, and a "Big O" - a chocolate-dipped oatmeal cookie icecream sandwich. My dining companion had a peanut butter shake and fried mushrooms. Everything was great, but we felt like utter shit later. It's close to the Greenway, so next time I make it down there, I'm gonna have to bike to justify eating all that garbage. read more

The food is the average Drive in Fair. It's like taking a step back into the 60s and the food is pretty good. It's one of my once or twice a month specials not something I'd ride home to mother about but not too bad All Things Considered. Hunniecutts fairy bar has really good food. I recommend the pork fritter. They also have good ice cream. You may be asking why I said 3 stars. That is because they have a very poor parking lot, service like a dine-in restaurant, moody servers, no bathroom, and it is not very sanitary. They boast about how their good for kids, but a kid sitting on one of the run down picnic tables, they are likely to get tetnis. You're gonna wanna have the day cleared of any events before going as the service can take multiple hours for a small vanilla ice cream. The last time I went, I went with my brother. He ordered a large sherbet and the server just made a wall of it around the cup and closed it off at the top so it was hollow. In conclusion, hunniecutts dairy bar has good food but bad service. I would rather go to Dairy Queen. read more
