Sweet ricotta pancakes & hash benedict
Del A.

Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 I've been to Hunnybee several times now and I'm a fan! It's a tiny spot so be prepared for long lines if you're going on the weekend but this most recent time I was able to slip in on a weekday morning and was able to snag a spot right away. You order at the counter and then find an open seat while you wait for them to bring your food out. Their menu isn't huge which is why I was surprised that it took quite a long time for the food to arrive, but it was nice and fresh. The staff is overall friendly and I appreciate that the prices are reasonable and not crazy like some brunch spots! My favourites are definitely the breakfast sandwich and the sweet ricotta pancakes.

Lived up to the hype! don't forget to get the ketchup/curry dipping sauce! It's still good without it tho

It was our very last morning in Vancouver and we wanted to try some of the "best" breakfast sandwiches in the city. People hype up this sandwich a ton, and in my opinion this was the best I tried. The sourdough toast they make is just perfect for all of the rich and delicious ingredients inside. After trying that bread I wish we could have tried the pizzas there, but this breakfast sandwich was a great end to our Vancouver trip.

They have my favourite breakfast sandwich in the Vancouver. The staff were helpful with giving us suggestions on how to order. There was plenty of seating inside and outside of the restaurant.

The food here at Hunnybee is unreal. The food is delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I definitely would recommend checking this spot out when you're in Vancouver. I can't wait to come back again.

Super cute brunch place on the edge of Chinatown. I've been a few times and tried this Hash & Breakfast sandwich. I'd definitely recommend the sandwich (great price & portion) but the hash is a little on the pricey side. This place gets packed on weekends and is pretty squished in terms of seating, so if you're able to come on a weekday I'd definitely recommend doing so. Overall, cute ambiance and standard service.

The coffee was great and the service was not bad. It can get quite busy (long-ish line, lack of seating, etc.) but I think that positively testifies of how popular this cafe is.

It's no longer a hidden gem since it went viral but it's still a great great great brunch spot! They make their own sourdough bread for their toast and sandwiches and they are so reasonably priced. $10 for a sandwich in vancouver! They do get busy so go there a bit earlier, you can only get a table once you've ordered at the counter. They turn into a pizza and wine bar at night (Thank you Pizza) and they make their pizza with their own sourdough bread!

Came recommended by our Airbnb host. We ordered at the counter and found seats outside. I ordered orange juice and the hash, husband ordered the pancakes and coffee, Coffee came out right away. It was super bitter!! We waited for almost 45 minutes and when a server finally came by the next table, I asked her about our food and she said it would be right out. No one came to check in with us, they seemed to also forget about my orange juice. Hash was fine, sweeter than I would've liked. Maple ricotta pancakes were good, but the plate was so small it was hard to eat. Would skip if you are looking for good food, and good service. Lots of other places in Chinatown that were just better!

Friendly service. Prices reasonable. Food was good. Was hoping for a cheaper refill but had to pay for another coffee.

I went back again! Came for a quick Sunday brunch with a friend after doing aerial yoga (!) in the area. I was opting for something sweet, and we both ended up getting the ricotta pancakes. Thankfully, the cashier at the front was very transparent about how long the pancakes would take, which helped to gauge our interest and wait time. It was pretty busy that day (as always). We were able to grab a table outside on a beautiful sunny day, and enjoyed watching some dogs while waiting ~25 mins for our pancakes. The pancakes were so deliciously fluffy! I liked the berry compote that came with it, and I doused it in maple syrup. I ate the pancakes so fast (because I was in a rush, but) because they were so good! Can't wait to come back a 3rd time to finally try their breakfast sandwich.

Delicious food, friendly staff, cozy environment, awesome logo! Order at the counter. Food took a while to come out but was definitely worth the wait. Great place for people watching, lots of folks riding by in the bike lanes. It was quite busy but luckily we were seated quickly. Lots of outdoor seating options under the awning.

Breakfast Sandwich with Egg, Cheese, Avo and Ham.

My brother has been raving about the Breakfast Sandwich and was glad to try it for myself. My Mom had the one pictured and I had it without the ham. We both declared the sandwich to be - unique and outstanding. The toast and butter crunch of the bread and the fried egg becoming one with the cheese. Wow! The latte I had was sadly awful. I had to throw it out. Will give it another chance though as hopefully it was a one-off bad drink. The Breakfast Sandwich more than made up for it!

Latte ($4) - 4 stars. Nice creamy foam. Tasty. Tue brunch 2022-12-27

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

This place feels like it is built more for Instagram than for actual hospitality or good coffee…read more The host/manager was unnecessarily rude and handled seating very unfairly. My mom was asked to get up and wait in line, while another party was allowed to sit. It was embarrassing and poorly handled. When I pointed out the long wait, the response was essentially that they have "the best coffee in Vancouver". That kind of attitude only works if the coffee is actually exceptional -- and it wasn't. It was below average and not worth the wait or the attitude. Very overhyped. Nice-looking space, weak service, average coffee. Kafka next door is a better option for coffee and cookie.

My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. I heard the line up was up to 2 hours long later that day so to say that Angus T is a hit is a bit of an understatement. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!

They also have a lot of other desserts and savory sandwiches. They might be great, but we didn't get to try them this time.
