We were trying to find something that wasn't fast food to just sit and enjoy a quiet meal. Found Hunny's randomly and it fit the bill perfectly. The service was friendly & excellent, the café is clean and well kept. The food was hot and tasty. The onion rings were perfectly cooked. All in all, I'll be back to eat here whenever I'm in town. Impressed overall. The food was pretty good! I loved the fruit filled crepes. That was cheesy and sweet too. It tasted great! The cream cheese was warm and gooey. Next time I would do blueberries instead of strawberries. The vegetarian fajita bowl was lovely. It had egg, cheese, bell peppers, onions and avocado. It came with salsa on the side. Delicious. I wanted to take a few minutes to update my review from 5 months ago. I went back today to have breakfast and the food and service were fantastic. They were extremely busy but our coffee cups never ran dry and the food came out super fast. My husband had the Ranch Omelette, and I had the Portuguese French Toast made with Hawaiian sweet bread. As you can see from the pictures below my husband's omelette was packed with meat and vegetables. He loved the country potatoes that came with it. My French Toast was delicious the berries and whipped cream complemented it. Was one of my favorite breakfasts I have had there. read more

Ok so its a little pricey when you're looking at the menu, pricey compared to IHOP dennys etc We go eat with 3 young ones and two adults. Service is exceptional, you're greeted so kindly. Always asked if you're doing good, any refills? Anything you might need? They gotcha. On it. It's a little pricier than those places but 10x yummier! Came here with some colleagues since we were in the area. It seems like it's one of those take-out places that people don't dine at because it was so empty until a few people popped in for dine-in while we were there. We were seated immediately. Server was friendly enough. Food came out so quick (which really made me give a side eye). The ambience was super chill, mellow... quiet to the point we felt like we were being too loud with just casually taking. Everyone's taste buds varied: Burger with fries, waffle with eggs, Chilaquiles and Chili Verde burrito with rice and beans. I was able to sample the fries and say those were good. Everyone else seemed to have liked their meal. My burritos had huge chunks of meat (I mean HUGE), the beans tasted like they were from a can with cheese and microwaved to melt. The rice had green bean, peas and cube carrots (like mixed vegetables out the can) -- definitely was not a fan of the rice or beans. We go to Hunny's pretty often for breakfast but decided to give them a try for dinner tonight. We ordered hot wings (forgot to take a picture), patty melt with a side salad, fish & chips and a burger. My son loved his fish & chips. My husband and I both liked the burgers but thought they could use more seasoning. Everything was cooked well and the portions were generous. I really wanted to try the fried chicken but it sounded like a lot of food.....I brought home half of my meal. Maybe next time. Our server was friendly and attentive. We went pretty early so there weren't many other customers but it had gotten busier by the time we left. Plus, we live on the north side of the lake so it's much closer than driving to Chili's. Sunday night, place was next to empty which is not a good sign. Ambiance is quaint but did not like the Country music as on the loud side. Service was attentive and helpful. We are going back to try the wings and I want to try the ribeye special. Tonight I had the Turkey dinner, wife had the chicken sandwich. Based on that I would not go back but will give them another try. Why? Turkey taste profile was off, cut from a grocery store deli block. There are no sharp edges on a Turkey! And slices had white meat on outside, dark in middle; not natural! Stuffing was homemade though as no Sysco or store mixes that much Cumin. Cranberry from a can, mashed was a little too smooth but ok. Neg is they drenched the plate with a yellow store bought chicken gravy. Ruined the presentation. Veg soup was ok, base tasted more homemade, celery but rest of veg content looked like from a can, too cubed, all same sizes. Like I said, I'll give them one more shot. read more

I've lived out here for a bit over 3 years and have long been curious about this place. Since I was washing my clothes next door, thought it was a good time to give them a shot. I had already had breakfast so I gave their lunch a try and it was hard to say no to the beyond burger combo. I was immediately shocked at the look of the interior. The exterior doesn't look like much, but the inside is very clean, very nice. From the dining area to the hallways leading to the restrooms, to the restrooms themselves. The staff is older and friendly. You can tell this place has been around for awhile. The receipts are very old style. This place sells lottery tickets and scratchers-have you seen that at a restaurant? I've never seen that before. I ordered my burger with the zucchini fries and both were really great. I would've liked more fries but it was a healthy portion and I'm on my health journey so it is what it is. Wouldn't mind coming back to try something else. read more

When my friend and I walked in I felt like I had stepped in someone's dining room. It felt a little homey. The waitress did a good job filling up my coffee, very attentive. My friend ordered the mushroom omelette and she said it was good. The machaca description on the menu looked interesting.
