My birria tacos are amazing I love this place

I highly recommend trying to Bierria tacos. This place is amazing. All of their food is good. I also love the California burrito. The people that work here are amazing and always extra nice.

I got menudo (had a long night lol) and it was very flavorful. I did get a lot of juice and barely any food however once I called and explained it to her she fixed the issue right away. I thought I was going to just get a bowl of hominy but instead I ended up with a whole other cup of menudo. I definitely appreciated that effort! I would go here again and again and recommend the menudo to anyone local for sure especially since it's available everyday and not just weekends like most places.

While coming back from a Temecula visit my favorite food critic, (The Wife) became peckish and wanted food with some heat. Our son recommended Main Street and we discovered 3 competing Mexican food spots closely situated. I saw this spot and they had me at the word authentic on the sign. We arrived around noon on a Thursday and the place was empty. The convenient drive through makes things easy but we went inside. She ordered Chile Relleno which came with rice and beans and I asked for a chicken enchilada and a crunchy hard shell machaca taco, (shredded beef) with double frijoles. Chips and salsa and 2 beers. It all came out hot and fresh and the beer was ice cold. The home made salsa Roja had the very best flavor and it had the habanero kick we were looking for...so look out. The chips were fresh but had a touch too much salt. If your in the mood for authentic Mexican food you need to visit this spot. The clean dining room has televisions and the booths are comfortable. This restaurant has had many names and iterations over the past 20 years. Stopped in this morning for breakfast and definitely wasn't disappointed. I had the egg, potato, and bean plate with tortillas. My wife had the Machaca plate. Both were excellent. read more

excellent service!!! the staff here are so welcoming so friendly very informative we got the chicken and cheese enchiladas the chili Verde plate chicken and french fries and cheese enchilada beans and rice two bottled beers and two sodas for 70 bucks family of four !!!! food was perfect and made from scratch.... definitely returning.... The Building however is obviously going through some remodeling and half the menu does not work ( it's on a screen) they didn't have any fountain drinks set up yet but they did have a tall cooler where you could pick your beverages and the waitress was very informed on the menu we were able to make a very well conscious decision read more

Our go to Mexican restaurant! Food is always on point with flavor and freshness. When in town we always end the day here. We pick up our food drive thru and head on home. Our go to is the Al mojo de ajo camaron and my husband gets their tacos or a torta de asada. Great service everyone is always very friendly. read more

Went for breakfast. They open at 9, we got there at 8:45 and waited. I'm A self proclaimed menudo connoisseur (probably the only 1 on the planet) thus have had some amazing and not so amazing menudo. There really is a difference between someone that makes it because they love it and those that make it because it's on the menu. I wish I got the gentleman's name! He said he made the menudo the night before and it is good. So good that if I don't like it, I don't have to pay for it AND he won't be upset about it. It WAS good. Not the best I've had but definitely not the worst! Wondering if the Menifee location is as good. I'll definitely go try it someday! read more

This place blows my expectations. People really don't know what they have in their little town. This place looks like the restaurant that has always been there but nobody has gone to. This little family run Mexican restaurant really reminds you of growing up with the Tias, la abuela, your mama back home. We have been coming here for a few years and are never disappointed. We love the machaca...tacos de tripas... and the menudo is the best in town. The prices are decent and the service is very welcoming. read more

Went for breakfast. The menu has options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I ordered the machaca plate and it was delicious! I had never eaten a plate like it before. It was shredded beef cooked with scrambled eggs, it was served with beans and home style potatoes. The place was calm, which was nice because there wander much people and waiting. The cashiers were super friendly and welcoming. We were well attended and had our food served quickly. I really enjoyed the service. I definitely recommend trying this place out! read more

One of my regular places when yearning for Mexican food. I have enjoyed most everything I have tried. Most recently, I had a craving for some carne asada nachos and Don Meres satisfied that with all kinds of goodness piled high on freshly made tortilla chips. The carne asada was flavorful and cooked just right. Gobs of gooey queso fresco complemented the jalapeño slices, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and freshly sliced avocado to complete a very tasty lunch entree. My beverage of choice was their delicious house made horchata to wash it all down with. My friendly server stopped by to check on me as well as a brief visit from the chef who wanted to ensure I was enjoying his delightful creation. There is ample seating here, even during a busy lunchtime. Parking is easy with a number of on-site spots as well as a large public lot right across the street. The venue is always clean, inviting and well-maintained. read more

Stopped here for lunch after looking at the positive reviews. I wasn't disappointed. First I was a bit surprised there was no table waiting service. You order at a window and then you take a table and they bring it to you. I ordered 2 fish tacos ala carte. When they arrived they were very, very tasty. I asked for their mild salsa and it was at the perfect spice level for my taste. There was plenty of fish and other ingredients in the tacos. Well worth a visit! This place is located in old town Elsinore. read more

One word... POZOLE!!! I keep wanting pozole and it's only going to get worse with the cold weather!!! This one was LEGIT! Omg so good, tons of pork in it, huge serving, a big juicy lime. I could use more cabbage and cilantro and I'm sure I could have asked for more but I wanted to try it as is! I know where I am coming anytime I want some. Comes with fresh, hot, homemade tortillas! There's also a salsa bar that is ok. Guacamole was ok. You order at the counter and seat yourself. The guy at the counter was very friendly. They even offered us to go cups for drinks. My partner ordered the carnitas burrito and said it was delicious and that the meat was very tender. I can't wait to come back and try more. read more

Found this restaurant by accident and I'm glad I did. I desired to pull thru the drive thru checked out their menu and it's a really big menu so much to choose, I ordered a carne Asada torta it was so tasty and good everything tasted so fresh my husband got carne Asada nachos and wow we were blown away they were delicious we also tried their churro cheesecake it was drizzled with caramel and raspberry sauce I will definitely be going back read more

Wife and I decided to stop in for dinner and this exceeded our expectations. Excellent customer service, and good food. The restaurant including the restrooms was very clean and well organized. Restaurant is pretty good we stopped here one night on our way home and they were just about ready to close yet the owner was so cool and fired up the grill and made my son and I some food I usually don't like doing that but they insisted that they would cook us some food I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Mexican around but it is very good and the people that were very nice I would definitely go here again read more

So glad there is a lake view restaurant alternative to Jack's BBQ. The wait time was a little long due to just one server but worth it. She was great! My wife had the The "JT" Lite and fries, I kept it simple by ordering The Anchor Dog. The Brussel sprouts were scrumptious. Divine day outside on the patio. There are still improvements being made. While we were there, the asphalt was being prepped for resurfacing. I will return, hopefully the brisket will be back.

They also stopped carrying 2% milk and don't carry any low fat options, just whole milk and then want to up charge for alternatives. I have stopped coming here less and less which is unfortunate because I've also noticed it isn't as busy when I have came to visit, which is also not a good sign. I used to look forward to coming here every weekend and brought my family here when they came to visit but I have stopped recommending it. Any positive reviews from me would have been based on the previous La Taza, but not the current one.

The waffles were perfectly prepared and served with fresh raspberries and blackberries. A special shoutout to our server, Kelly, who was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. She recommended the burnt ends, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The prices are very reasonable for both the quality and portion sizes. Went to the lake Elsinore store on 5/25 for breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros and my wife had the machaca. Not only was the presentation fantastic but the food was hot, tasty, well seasoned and done right. The home made tortillas were fantastic and the salsa bar was well stocked with at least 4-5 kinds of salsa, chilis toreados,carrots, radishes, etc. They also had larger containers for the salad bar accompaniments besides the usual small little cups. We were also served chips and salsa . Chef Jose is classically trained with knowledge of International cuisine and it shows with his food. I am a retired chef and somewhat picky in my food but I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced place with great tasty food... The food, service, and overall experience was 5/5 stars. The food is authentic Mexican. Don't let the few negative reviews fool you. This is as authentic as it gets. I have tried quite a bit of the menu from going there a many times, and everything has been spot on. The flavor is amazing. The people working there are all so friendly. I don't think I have encountered nicer staff anywhere else. They make you feel at home. My overall experience was amazing. I am a lifetime customer for sure. I don't think I can ever go back to eating Mexican food anywhere else. The head chef and owner, Jose, is so friendly. It's refreshing to see. I can't recommend this place enough. We have eaten here 3 times and every single time the customer service has been above and beyond expectations. The staff is so friendly and make sure everyone is happy. The food is absolutely delicious. It's nice to have some real Mexican food in town. They have a great selection of food. Their salsas are bomb!!! They even have Mexican waters which the hubby loves. The best, most authentic mexican food I have ever had. I drive an hour to go here and it is completely worth it. Every entree is delicious and is followed by amazing dessert options.
