Love love love this little hidden gem. It doesn't look interesting from outside but the food is really good, service feels so homey, and they serve great portions for those with bigger appetites. Food is made to order, so they do take a few minutes, but then again it's not a fast food restaurant. Hubby and I went on a small date here and it was super cute and super worth it. In my experience this place could use a change in menu with more options and a little bit better management. While I was here with my family we had to ask the waitress to give us a refill. She was very busy on her phone and even when people came in the establishment they weren't greeted with eye contact. She was very nice, and I have nothing against her personally. I didn't understand why even though she saw that our cups were empty she not once offered to give us a refill. read more

I've been on a journey trying different spots in Lake Elsinore. The locals make a big deal out of breakfast burritos so I thought I'd try the different offerings around town. Especially since I've rarely had a bad breakfast burrito. While I've seen this spot millions of times and it's real close to me, I've never been in the plaza but today I went for it. There are pics of their old menu floating around and I would love to try the shrimp scramble that it appears they used to offer. Anyways... The interior is roomy, you sit yourself and there are plenty options. Servers here are damn near local legends-that's how good the servers are. Customers know them and remember them by name-but they also are observant and good with names. But that breakfast burrito. Again, I've rarely had a bad breakfast burrito and my streak didn't end here. Let's talk about that salsa tho-it really was the icing on the cake. I never really make a big deal about salsa but it was very memorable here. It has a smoky hint to it, almost as if they mix it with bbq sauce or something but it really adds something special to the burrito. Looking forward to coming back and trying more. read more

My Husband and I pulled into the Landing Zone Cafe this morning for breakfast. They were Super busy and instead of holding up our waitress while we decided on what to eat , we asked her what she would recommend. The breakfast Burrito and Pumpkin pancake combo it is. The food was really good and plentiful. So glad we took her advice. As good as the food was, it really was the Service that put it over the top for us. Our server Shylo was fantastic. busy as it was, she was fast, helpful and beyond friendly. We were so impressed with how she handle so much, all with a smile and making us laugh. We had to come back and try the amazing new pumpkin pancakes ! We had our favorite server Kelly. She treats us like we are family She made us a to die for caramel cold brew and of course the spooky mimosa was yummy ! We took home a harvest homemade cheese cake wow amazing ! Tried Calle D Landing Zone Café for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience! The interior has a nice vibe, and the music added to the atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast avocado toast--first time trying it--and it was actually really good. The only downside was the service. The waiter had a bit of an attitude, which made the experience less welcoming, but nothing too crazy. Other than that, the food was solid, and the place itself is nice. When we arrived, I was impressed by how clear it was. We sat ourselves, our drink order was taken. (It took longer than normal to get our water.) Music was playing at a nice sound! Food came out pretty fast and it was good too. Heather the waitress seemed a little busy as if she had too many tables. It appeared as if they were short staffed. the service was awful!! I honestly don't get the hype around Landing Zone Cafe. The service was slow and unorganized, and it felt like the staff didn't really care about customers. The food was overpriced for the quality nothing tasted fresh, and the portions were disappointing. The place wasn't very clean either, which made the whole experience worse. We've been coming here for years and the food has never disappointed. Unfortunately we only come here when we've got minimal plans for the day because it's consistently taken 40+ minutes to get our food even if it wasn't busy. Additionally, the service has deteriorated tremendously. On our last visit, the gentleman seating guests and cleaning tables tended to us significantly better than our designated server to the point where he brought us our food and filled our cups twice before the server bothered to check on us. Anyway, food is great, service is iffy. read more

One of the best, arguably the best in Lake Elsinore. This place is literally around the corner from my old house I lived in for 7 years. My biggest regret is not trying it much sooner. Prices are very fair, portions are more than enough and the quality of food is awesome! Our server was awesome. She was friendly and attentive. I wish I remembered her name to give her all the credit she deserves. The setting has a cafe with a modern twist feel to it. Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back and try some different things on their menu! read more

This is our secret little spot we come to everytime we take our dog to a groomer nearby Seriously such a hidden gem The food is delicious like mouth watering scrape your plate get every last damn bite delicious The coffee is so good and fresh and hot The service is outstanding So friendly they check in every two minutes they are kind helpful and happy to help! Such a great vibe we will continue to support them and enjoy all they bring to the table. Another Wednesday deal is their OG fish tacos for $2.59 each, also before tax. We split the Beach Box, so each of us had about three tacos with fries. I do want to be honest though--I have celiac disease, which means I cannot have gluten. I haven't had gluten since I was diagnosed about a year ago, but this time I gave in. Seeing everyone else eating made it really hard to resist. I know it wasn't the best decision, but I ended up having some anyway. That said, if you're celiac like me, I wouldn't recommend this place. They do offer some options like mariscos, and you can replace flour tortillas with corn, but keep in mind there is always a chance of cross-contamination. It's definitely an "at your own risk" situation. I will say, when I came before and told them I have celiac disease while ordering their tacos, they did try to accommodate me as best as they could. It wasn't busy at the time, and they offered to clean the area and take extra precautions to avoid cross-contamination, which I found very thoughtful. But like I said, there's always a chance, so it's still at your own risk. As for the food itself, everything was very flavorful. The fish was crispy, well-seasoned, and tasted fresh. The fries were good, and the portions were solid. The salsa bar is self-serve and has bold, spicy flavors. If you like a lot of salsa with your tacos, you'll enjoy it. Customer service was great. Now, the cheese quesadilla was great. Lots of cheese, fried well. Very good! I would order the cheese quesadilla again and again. It was fantastic. I just wish the guacamole was better. It was very bland and needed salt. Service was fine. Ambiance was busy. This place was popping.

For me, I ordered the Pollo A La Javier. It was half a chicken with rice, bean, and tortillas. It also came with soup or salad. I opted for the meatball soup. The soup was light in flavor. Tasty nonetheless. Rice was good. Beans were a little salty. As for the chicken, it was alright but the sauce was a bit salty for me. Service was excellent. Food was alright. Besides that, I had a great time here with a great group of friends.
