Not too bad! The fried zucchini with ranch was yummy! I enjoyed the zucchini to breading ratio. The ranch tasted like it was homemade. I do prefer Burger Basket's homemade ranch over Douglas Burgers 23 ranch. Burger Basket has a thicker ranch that is to die for. Douglas has burritos too. I got a breakfast burrito and it was a good size. It was very fresh! I enjoyed it. My husband got a hamburger and he liked that a lot. He said he would go back here. I didn't see a veggie burger or anything for vegetarians aside from the breakfast burrito. So that is a bummer. I need more veggie options for me to want to comeback. Been coming to Douglas Burger since we moved back in late 2015. Food has been good, sometimes the foot can be a hit or a miss depending on what you order. I mainly stick to breakfast, typically breakfast burritos but this time I changed it up with a carne asada plate, it was good, the carne asada as a bit tough to chew, eggs were made over medium, and a crunchy shell when I bit into piece of egg; which in this case, I was done eating (if you know you know). Located right off the 15 FWY on Central and Dexter Avenues by Chevron Gas with plenty of parking and drive-thru. I stopped here because I wanted a good breakfast sandwich, and I usually like burger chains' breakfast. Tbh, I am not a fan of their Breakfast Sandwich. It's literally a regular sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cheese, mayo, eggs, and choice of sausage, steak, or ham on regular white bread. The taste was good though, but not what I expect from a "breakfast sandwich" at all. Drive-thru service was slow, it took about 25-30 minutes to get my sandwich, so it not a good idea to go during a work break imo. Service was just okay (no greeting, no thank you). Most likely, will not care to try this place again based on my experience. read more

Lake Elsinore exits are known for quick access to fast food. Looking for a step above franchise fare? Duggies burgers 23 is a nice upgrade. Review is SOLELY for the breakfast burrito, and service in the drive-thru. Had I written this a couple of months ago, it would have been 2.5/3 stars. But unless it's just a bad experience that could have easily been avoided, and if the food was mediocre I will give a second shot before slamming them. Glad I did! I've been back two more times. Always for a breakfast burrito on my way to work. Both time delicious! Flavorful, not overly potato heavy. I have them put the green salsa inside because I can't do it while I'm driving and it has the perfect flavor. The only complaint I have is that it is GINORMOUS! I'm a "healthy big boned" guy and I usually can't finish it. Wish they could take it down to two eggs and reduce the hash browns, then it would be perfect. For years my family and I have been customers of this restaurant and have usually only had positive experiences. However today when I went through their drive through the girl working the window was extremely rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. She kept blaming me for getting my order incorrect even after she had me repeat myself more than a few times (clearly wasn't paying attention). I was nothing but polite because I know how it is to work in the food industry. However talking rudely over a customer and rolling your eyes and catching an attitude is not ok. Managers on shift need to be more aware of employees who are just there for a check. Customer service does matter! Anyway here's a picture of my very simple order. It does take some time to get your food, even through the drive-thru but it's worth the wait. Hit or miss. I have to remember not to order any of their salads. The don't serve crisp lettuce; rather, soft like it sits out all day.

So usually I dine in and the food has always been good. Today I drove thru and wow seems like a different place. Not sure what happened? The fries were soggy and the Ranch dressing was really warm. Also my club sandwich looked like a child make it.. lettuce was almost white, tomato had the core and it was slapped together. Really disappointed. Onions rings were delicious and that is why they got the extra star. I went here for the first time and got a burger and onion rings. Rings are great but the burger is awful and has some weird taste to it. I thought maybe it was the end of the lettuce they put on it but I think it's the bread. Usually their breakfast burritos are the best, tasty, very satisfying, but today they were probably the worst breakfast burritos I have ever ate! Ordered 2 breakfast burritos a egg, potatoes and crispy bacon and a sausage, bacon, potatoes and eggs. My wife's burrito only had overcooked hash brown un cooked bacon and very little egg! My burrito was tasteless the hash brown had a greasy taste and there was very little bacon! I called no manager on site and the kid I talked to really could care about the quality of food put out. Okay, so my husband and I were on our way to Pechanga and had to get gas at the Chevron. We saw this burger place right next door and decided to stop in. SO glad we did! The place was super clean and cool inside, the employees were really nice, and the food was amazing! I got the bacon breakfast burrito, which was huge, and my husband had the avocado bacon cheeseburger--it had seriously fresh avocado on it. We also shared some chili cheese fries that were on point. Everytime we come here the drive thru takes at least 30 minutes if there's no one in front of you. We ask for ranch every single time and they charge us but guess how much they give you? If I pay for a side of ranch that baby better be filled at least to the top. It never is....each time. Turkey burger was cold and shredded meat for some reason it felt freezer burned. The ranches were warm probably because they take them out and wait 30 minutes for the food to be done so by the time you get your food the ranch is a heated condiment which gross. This place nickel and dimes you with mediocre food. Also every time we eat the grilled chicken burgers here the chicken has hard rubbery pieces inside reminds me of Carls junior if you've ever had a chicken sandwich from them you'll know what I mean. I've given this place 13 chances just this year and today was the last time! Hands-down, best fast food burger in Temecula Valley. They just put in an In-N-Out across the street but Douglas Burger is better than In-N-Out. And their patties are 1/3 of a pound so pretty big. You don't need to buy a double. read more

Tried this place again to see if they improved but unfortunately it's still the same. No line no cars infront of me and still took a long time. Took 7 minutes just to open the window and take my card and another 15 minutes just to get my food. The chicken burger is great but the customer service is awful and the timing is worse. I first tried this place back in 2022. Was looking for somewhere that sold waffles like pancakes. You know, like in stacks of 2 or 4 at a time. Saw 'Waffle stack" on the menu here. Woohooo! In the local Fb groups, people were crying over this place, asking daily when it would open, talking about how amazing it was. Finally opened back up a few days after Christmas. The hype over this place was crazy, lemme tell you. So I had to try it again to make sure I wasn't crazy. I ordered their famed breakfast burrito-no meat- and a veggie burger combo. Food was hot, in fair, average portions. If you've had a veggie burger at any similar type of restaurant (Gus Jr. Tams burger, Tom's Burger, George's Burger, SS Burger, etc. )then this is more of the same. The breakfast burrito was no different. Food is okay, nothing amazing or mind-blowing or any special recipes or tastes that is unique to this establishment. While equivalent to the fare over at Farmer Boys, I actually prefer it there for minor reasons. At Farmer Boys the pico comes inside the burrito and the cheese is better melted or more of a prominent taste. As for the ambience, it's a good sized diner with a very busy drive thru. I think the hype is mostly due to the fact that it's located in a small city and the locals love their small businesses, which is great. read more

I came here for the burgers: it has a pretty unique taste that can't be matched by some of the more well-known, and modern takes which costs more, but doesn't have that same real charbroiled taste. One notable change is the patties are thicker so that was a fair consolation. The fries were surprisingly good and they are generous with dipping sauce - ranch and thousand island are what we've tried. The serve-yourself drink is a nice amenity, especially when the whipped orange drinks (remember Orange Julius?) are offered. Unfortunately, the service is rather ... conditional and bland. Typical of the younger servers and employees, they seem apathetic, and good customer service seems to be a foreign concept to them, except when the Asian (sorry, I can't tell which one or kind) managers or owners are behind the counter. There is a noticeable uptick in the friendliness and service orientation and disposition of the employees. One time, even though the receipt showed exactly the choice of sides for a combo, they gave the wrong one, and when I asked them to confirm, they seemed irritated; while they replaced it with correct side, not even a hi to of regret or verbalized apology was to be had - not even a "sorry / out bad" or whatever. But on another visit, when my guest took a bit of time deciding on a dipping sauce, the server stood perfectly still and waited for my partner to make up her mind -had the owners or managers not been there that night, it would've been like catching a passing train: they would've had their backs to us as we were finalizing our order. The prices are reflective of the economic times, but is it unreasonable to expect service and courtesy commensurate to the throwback diner ambiance of common courtesy? read more

I came through drive-thru with no one in front of me and only four tables in the whole restaurant. The point of all that is they were not busy I ordered a club sandwich with no mayonnaise and a bottle of water. As I was driving away eating my fries noticed that there's mayonnaise on my sandwich so then I had already driven 5 minutes down the road so now I got to turn back around go back in have them remake my food. This is a terrible experience I flat out cannot eat mayonnaise at all and there's no excuse to not get it right when the person taking my order reads it back to me and you still get it wrong.
