I still highly recommend this restaurant even though they were out of my first choice, brisket. Because I had not been here before but remember the community fanfare when it first opened. What a difference since the last I was at this campground/boat launch area (now called LP for Launch Pointe). This area now lifts up our city. So glad there is a lake view restaurant alternative to Jack's BBQ. The wait time was a little long due to just one server but worth it. She was great! My wife had the The "JT" Lite and fries, I kept it simple by ordering The Anchor Dog. The Brussel sprouts were scrumptious. Divine day outside on the patio. There are still improvements being made. While we were there, the asphalt was being prepped for resurfacing. I will return, hopefully the brisket will be back. read more

They didn't have any obviously vegan options, everything would have required going ingredient by ingredient with the server. I personally strongly dislike doing that, and prefer for vegan options to be clearly labeled. I do not like asking servers (who often are not careful with this) to alter pre existing menu items to make them vegan. We ended up getting two baskets of fries and some beers. It actually was a nice place to chill but it was expensive, maybe $45. I hope in the future they will make an option specifically for vegans that requires no modifications. Also, taking ingredients off of menu items usually decreases their quality, and not the price. It would be nice to know the business had considered the different types of customers they might have and actually catered to them, instead of making them feel like they have to do homework to order food that takes effort. Fries and beers are maybe the easiest things to prepare for a cook and I don't think it's a quality vegan option. It's better for customers not to alter menu items as well. Edit: After posting my original 2 star review the business owner privately messaged me to go back and forth with me telling me I was a fool for my opinion. This was a great place for our large multi-family group. They had live music and the cover band was excellent. Their "hard liquor" is not what it seems- it's wine based (ie lower alcohol content). My suggestion- Stick with beer. Food: I ordered the BBQ plate- tri tip and brisket. Mac n cheese was meh- not totally smothered and came out lukewarm. The other side- Brussels sprouts, which were fine. But overly dressed in balsamic. The bbq comes with 6 different BBQ sauces. The food was not amazing but decent enough! What made the evening excellent was the waitress Marissa- our whole group agreed on this. She was on top of it and took good care of us and all the kids. Overall a fun experience and the food was par but the kids were happy and the location and the service was great. We'll be back another time. read more

This place has such a nice view of the lake! I love that they have live music on weekends and also play the football games. Everyone was so friendly and nice when I visited yesterday. The food and micheladas were really good as well! The Chilaquiles had a good spicy kick to them if you like spicy! The club sandwich was really good. Today was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for my son and nephew. At 10:20 a.m., I called Bobbers Restaurant to arrange seating for a party of 10. I was told they could not accommodate us at 11:30 a.m. due to another event but could seat us at 12:00 p.m. We agreed and drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. When we arrived at noon, we were informed that our table had been given to another party and that there was no reservation under my name. The staff acknowledged there was a reservation under another name, but despite our efforts to explain the situation, our family was not accommodated. What was most disappointing was not the mistake itself, but how it was handled. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or offering a solution, management questioned our account and made us feel unwelcome. We left without being able to celebrate as planned. Mistakes happen in every business. What customers remember is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, our experience today fell far short of the customer service and professionalism we expected. I share this so others can make informed decisions and because businesses should be accountable for how they treat their customers. read more

Nice spot to have lunch by the lake. Would have great views if they moved the parking lot over a little still a nice restaurant to eat and have drinks by the lake! Date and kid friendly. Their drink menu is fun! Everything we got was good. The food menu has a lot of options. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Service is fast! I have to be honest though--this tri tip was a bad cut. We could not chew it. Also, our loaded potatoes were forgotten and came out last after we had finished our food and were scolding hot so I burnt my mouth trying to enjoy them, of course. I explained to the waitress about the tri- tip and she was accommodating. We were definitely bummed. This is a risk you take eating meat out though. We took it home and gave it to the dogs and I swear it gave our one dog farts the whole day The ribs and Brussels were great. The garlic toast was so delicious! Also, the waitress was so sweet and brought ALL their sauces and we enjoyed trying all of them with the ribs. I'd definitely go back here, even after having the bad experience with the tri tip. I'd just order something different because it's good to support local. I also don't let one bad thing ruin my experience with the restaurant. So if you've tried it and thought ehh, maybe try it again! I can see that they are really trying and I hope they keep it up! read more

There were several opportunities to help resolve the situation that occurred during our visit, but each time the owner chose not to take them. There were multiple empty tables by the lake where you could have offered to split our party of 10, but that option was never presented. There was also another table that could accommodate 10 people with only three guests seated there. A simple, courteous conversation explaining the situation may have helped, but again, no effort was made. Moving our party indoors could have been a reasonable solution if we had been offered the same level of service as other guests, or even a gesture of goodwill--such as offering drinks while the issue was being resolved. Unfortunately, that did not happen either. Our group drove over an hour specifically to dine at your restaurant (this should be an honor for you!), only to be told that our reservation could not be found. At the same time, you acknowledged that a reservation had in fact been made. Despite recognizing the mistake, no meaningful effort was made to correct the situation or accommodate us. Instead of taking responsibility for what occurred, you are now attempting to place the blame on our group. We arrived expecting a reservation that your staff and you acknowledged and we were simply looking for a reasonable solution. The lack of accountability and willingness to help was extremely disappointing. Please stop making assumptions about our group and focus on the actual issue: a reservation error that was not properly addressed. Felt very much so discriminated against! Do not invalid how you made people feel and do not call people fools for their opinions. read more

The staff was amazing and so understanding. We had our dog with us and were starving and she's not accustomed to being out in public. She's a barker and her bark is terrible. I made a reservation in advance, but when my party arrived, we were told that no reservation existed. When we tried to explain the situation, a gentleman who claimed to be the manager/owner repeatedly talked over us instead of listening to our concerns. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue or offer any kind of solution, he was dismissive and unprofessional. As we were leaving, he was openly discussing our situation with other customers, which felt inappropriate and disrespectful. He then stated that he does not take reservations, which only made the situation more confusing. Customer service starts with listening to your guests, and unfortunately that did not happen here. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address the issue left a very negative impression. read more

I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile now. Was hungry, they don't have a huge selection of vegetarian or plant-based items, so I ordered a few of their sides that I was curious about via DoorDash. Here are my thoughts... Mac n cheese- when I saw this, a couple thoughts ran through my mind. "This looks like the stuff at Panera." "This better not be like Panera's" "It sounded better than it looks" ...this was all before I dug in. After digging in...well, you can see it's more than elbow noodles tossed around in some light cheese sauce. There's a lot of good cheesiness to be had in their Mac n cheese. I would say, they have the best Mac in the city, it's up there with Chic-filas, maybe better. I like it! Hand cut fries-these are my type of fries. Kinda cold and wish they were a bigger portion. Good to know they have them so close-I usually go to Five Guys in Temecula for this type of cut and texture. With me raving so high about those, what could've went wrong-2 star means it could've been better? Tater tots-good portion, but they tasted half done. Not like one or two, but all of them. Garlic mashed potatoes-I was looking forward to this. Opened my container, took a spoon of them topped with the green onions and...it tasted sour. Nothing wrong with sour but, is it their unique recipe (does it involve vinegar or fermentation) or is this actually spoiled? I had another spoon before I went with my gut and threw it away. I think it was spoiled/bad. I had ordered my food about 30 minutes before closing, so I'm thinking maybe I got the mashed potatoes that had been sitting all day and it had gone bad after awhile. Would certainly have the Mac n cheese plus fries again, just not sure about the mashed potatoes here. read more

First time visiting this establishment. Found it to be rustic and geared for "Lake people". The service was great and our server was Lexi. The breakfast burrito and Bobber burger were both on point! This place has wonderful food! Service is always great and who can beat a view of the lake while you're dining there. I would have made this review 5 stars but the hostess/server was dressed highly inappropriate for a family friendly restaurant. We were literally greeted with butt cheeks hanging out of a very very revealing pair of shorts. I come here for the food and atmosphere but management needs a stricter dress code. No hate to her, she looks great but this isn't a strip club or night club, there were small children everywhere. I won't be coming back for a while because of this and that makes me very sad because we love this place! If you have a family please DO NOT COME HERE, it was very disrespectful and hopefully they either put a notice for adults only or they change their employee dress code. read more

First time camping at launch pointe, planned to have dinner here the first night to keep it easy. We were with some friends and our kids. They forewarned us that the kitchen was backed up so we were aware of that. We sat down and the hostess brought us water. 30 min later we were not greeted by a server. Mind you, it was a later dinner than normal for the kids so they were getting antsy. I finally had to go ask the hostess if we had a server. She finally made her way over and said it was at least a 40 min wait for food. Well, had we not waited 30 min for her to greet us, we probably would've almost had our food by then. So we ended up ordering the adults food to go, and went back to the campsite to make something quick for the kids. The restaurant didn't seem busy enough to be that slow, the inside was empty and there were maybe 10 tables outside and from what I saw, probably 3 servers. They didn't even seem to care or have any urgency. Definitely won't bank on eating there if we ever camp there again. read more

Took my father inlaw here for Father's Day. The host told us it would be 15mins. 45mins gone by and we saw tables clear up and get sat but still no text that our table was ready. We went up to the host and she had no tables for us, she apologized and told us we could sit at a table in the sun and move over once another table cleared up. The lighting was romantic and change colors, the live saxophonist provided a sentimental touch. My food was excellent. I had the Bbq Dinner plate with pulled pork and mashed potatoes. But the Show-Stopper was our Fabulous and Friendly server Marissa. She was a ray of sunshine. So professional and personable with us. She made us feel at home. She was so sweet and funny. Bobber on the Lake is such a fun spot! The appetizers are amazing (the Brussels sprouts are absolutely delicious) and all of their BBQ really hits the spot. Every time I go I try something new and it never disappoints. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, the drinks are nice and stiff, and the service is always fast and friendly. It's one of those places where you go for the food but end up loving the whole vibe and ambiance too. What's funny is whenever I mention it to friends thinking I'm introducing them to something new, they've already been there and rave about it too. That says a lot. Chicken perfectly cooked, fries super yummy & garlic toast was so delicious. My husband got the smoked meal with tri-tip. He thought he'd get more than 3 small pieces for $21. He did enjoy the meal. The server was super personable. And the new renovation inside was perfect. On the last night of our stay, my husband, a 20 year Navy veteran got a FREE Bobber Burger with fries, which we enjoyed back at the RV site. Another amazing meal. Highly recommended. Visited here for the first time on Oct. 26th.We were seated at 11:30 and waited for our order for 45 minutes! I finally spoke to the mgr/owner and he went to check on it. 5 minutes later our food arrived. First order of eggs and chicken Pattys Cooked medium was disgusting, food was Lukewarm and the eggs were well done with no soft yolks. The chicken patty's were Tyson's finest frozen brand! Avocado toast was bland and weird, pickeled onions, cotija cheese and a slice of dried up toasted white bread, disgusting! Ortega melt with onion rings, needed seasoning, onion rings were tepid and one of the rings was burnt. Served on toasted bread, dry as the Mojave . I ordered the burger med. rare, came out dry and well done, tasteless. The last disaster was a smoked turkey melt, hold the siracha dressing, asked for mayo, once again dry toast and no mayo. The accompanying fries were cold and greasy.Fillings were skimpy and burnt onions too. I really feel that this place needs Gordon Ramsey or a chef trainer.Dave your money and support the good restaurants in Lake Elsinore. read more

Honestly the food was horrible. We have been to this place several times because we like to come here to go camping. The first few times we were there the food was phenomenal. Today we got the buffalo chicken fries, the shrimp and fries, the BLT with avocado, and hot wings. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade tasted like watered down sugar water with three strawberries in it it was very difficult to drink. In fact, I asked for something else because it was almost undrinkable. The french fries were undercooked and my buffalo french fries were cold. Almost as if they sat on the counter while all the other food was being finished. The shrimp basket fries were undercooked as well and soggy, and were cold. My husband's sandwich looked like a three year-old made it. The bread was dry and hard and there was like two pieces of bacon. The only thing that tasted even semi-good was the wings that my son had and even that was a 6/10. The menus were all filthy and looked like they had not been wiped down and a lot of the tables needed to be bussed. Not sure if there is new ownership but if so they really need to reevaluate the changes they have made because they were not positive. Such a shame because we always looked forward to eating there when we camped here. read more
