Everyone is so personable and warm. I requested the service to fix a dent in my door. They quoted the service at market value. It took 3 days to get it done. The car looks like nothing happened to it. All of the wiring, the fender, the bumper (everything that was removed) was taken off and put back correctly. This review is based solely on getting an estimate for replacing a front bumper. When I entered the shop, Bart (the manager) was finishing up with another customer (who seemed happy, a good sign), and then promptly turned to me with a smile, shook my hand and asked, "How can I help you?" I'd never been to a body shop before and his friendly, upbeat demeanor immediately put me at ease. The shop lot appeared full of cars being worked on, so it looked like they do a brisk business. Everyone I saw there seemed happy to be working there. Bart promptly did the estimate for replacing the bumper and even offered to buff my headlights for free. He answered all the questions I had and explained they would be moving to a new, larger location in a few weeks and I could schedule my job after that. I went around to different auto body places for estimates for my car. Hunt Valley Auto Body had the best prices and the shortest amount of time. I made an appointment and they fit me in within the week (it was more cosmetic). Everyone who worked there was personable and helpful. I called on the third day, as they said it would take 3-4 days, and they let me know that they would call me by the following day to let me know when my car was ready. I received a call by 10 AM the next day and they had even washed the outside of my car... what service! The estimate they gave me turned out to be exact, which was what I was hoping but you never know. My door recently was yanked by a strong gust of wind. In having moved to Baltimore a few years ago and not having the need to visit a body shop, I didn't know where to go. So I did what most of us do which is go through online reviews and take a chance. My visit to Hunt Valley Auto Body was brief but it made a lasting impression. The person who helped me who could be the owner, Bart, was super friendly (but not in a salesperson way who is only trying to close the deal) and seemed really interested in helping me out. The door of my car wasn't sealing properly due to the wind yanking my door and bending it. This is a problem that could have cost me anywhere from a few hundred to several hundred dollars. As a layperson, one doesn't know generally about auto body repairs. So Bart checks the seal on the door the from the top of the window pulls it down forcefully. At first I was really worried but much to my surprise the seal was readjusted. Not only that, he refused to charge me. I'll tell you straight off the bat, if ever I need body work done on a car, I'm going to Hunt Valley Auto Body. They seem authentic, honest and transparent. read more

Even though he was busy , he was kind and attentive during a stressful situation . I noticed the way he treated the tow truck driver and immediately felt good that my car ended up here . Bart went over some tips about the rental vehicle and explained the process up front regarding the time it takes if the insurance co decides to fix the car . I found this little gem by accident, after my 2005 Toyota Rav4 was hit. ACT (aka Caliber Collision) had rescheduled my appointment for a damage estimate for another whole week out (due to rain). I got wise and called Bill Kidd's Toyota dealership to ask what shop they recommended. They sent me to Hunt Valley Auto Body, who took me as a walk-in that very afternoon. It is a family-owned operation; very friendly and personable. They deftly provided an estimate, collaboration with my insurance co. and also with Enterprise to have me picked up for a rental within the hour (all after 4 pm on a Friday!!). Bart immediately spotted not only the urgent repairs that would have killed the car in the week I would've waited, but also caught substandard repairs from other shops (Midas *ahem*) that posed threats in the future. The office manager (wife) kept contact with me about the status of insurance payments and repairs, which were completed in a timely manner (along with interior vacuum). When I picked up the car, it looked better than it did before the accident! We talked quite a bit about family as I was checking out, and it almost felt like I was leaving an uncle's house.
