I was so surprised by the rating of this spot here on Yelp. We went in a group of about 18 and it did not disappoint! The food was great and some of the Indian dishes we ordered was some of the best I ever had, I still think of going back and having some more...truly amazing! Food: Chicken Curry and Chicken tikka masala which we got with white rice and naan bread (you need to get this!!!) Also got gateway burgers, wings, french onion soup, and their voodoo balls which were all very good! They have a very nice outdoor area and a great peaceful view of the mountains. 10/10 recommended coming here! read more

We were camping in the Catskills and came across Hunter Mountain Brewery while out on a scenic motorcycle ride. The view we had for lunch was beautiful! Food was delicious! I had Cider (not a beer fan but will always find something!) and it was good. Kevin liked the beer so thumbs up! Staff was friendly and service was quick and attentive. They must have made some serious improvements here because I'm not sure why the negative reviews either. The food was really good and the outside patio seating was lovely. The service was average but we had a group of 8 so I think she was just over that. She was not friendly or interested but delivered the food and was half on the ball. They were all wearing masks and the restaurant was clean and well distanced and I'll definitely go back and just request a different server. Totally worth a stop for just a beer if you are in the area as well! They have some bar seats set up outside overlooking the mountain perfect for couples. read more

While upstate, I was eager to visit as many breweries as possible. After doing gnarly and wet hike near the devil's pathway, we decided to grab a quick beer at Hunter Mountain Brewery. Although we had initially wanted some beers, Cuomo's covid law required us to get at least one hot appetizer. I decided to get some of the beer mussels. For our beers, we had the stout and the pumpkin ale (with sugar rim!). The stout was pretty good, a bit lighter than I was used to. The pumpkin ale was pretty good very reminiscent of a lighter version of the Southern Tier Pumpkin Ale. I did like having a sugar rim though (basic af). When the mussels came, we noticed that they immediately smelled a bit off. They smelled extremely fishy for mussels that are fresh. When we asked the waitress when the mussels were purchased she mentioned that they came in on Monday (we were there on Wednesday). Thankfully they allowed us to send them back and order something else. Instead of ordering seafood in the mountains we opted for something more land based and got mild wings. When the wings came they were dressed in a mix of butter and hot sauce. It didn't taste that spicy to me but it was covered in butter which wasn't really a problem! Overall I really like the views at Hunter Mountain Brewery, they offer a great slope side view of the nearby ski resort. Next time I swing by Hunter to ski, I'd definitely be willing to stop by again for some brews and land based proteins. read more

After a long day of snowboarding, this place was close by to Hunter Mountain so it was an easy stop to grab some food and drinks! Blueberry Ale (fruit beer) - nice and light.. good for non beer drinkers! Becker Hollow Brown Ale - easy to drink! Good flavors Double Diamond Stout - dark and creamy! If you like dark n bitter, this one is for you! Into the Void (stout) - smooth, chocolate and creamy! My favorite was Into the Void! I'm mixed about this place. I've been 3 times, and experiences have been varied each time. The 3 visits were about the span of 2 years (I have tried to go on other occasions, but this place isn't always open) 1st visit - delightful - I got the beer mussels and couldn't have been happier. 2nd visit - Because my first trip was so successful I ordered the beer mussels again. This time they were undercooked. I mentioned this to the waitstaff, and no one really cared. Now I am one that eats raw seafood, so raw stuff not an issue. Half cooked seafood is sort of that really not acceptable place. 3rd visit - my most recent just a week ago. Got the prime rib (rare) and the ribs. Both came with mashed potato and green beans. The main event themselves were good, but the green beans were a disappointment. I know it was 9pm on a Saturday night, you close at 10pm, but they were not edible. They tasted like they were leftover beans which had been reheated. So they old, overcooked, and gross in color (see pictures). It's a mix bag really coming here. I really want to like it, but there's just one things or something that's slightly off each time I come. And they also don't brew their own beer, which is confusing since they've got the set up in the back. read more

They have some spaced out seating indoors. We visited on a Friday evening and had no trouble getting a table. We shared the loaded fries - they were loaded with bacon bits, jalapeños, and cheese. I liked that they were shoestring fried and were perfectly crispy, but the toppings could have been better - they didn't seem fresh. I got the ribs and my partner got the Devil's Path burger. The Devil's Path burger has brisket, BBQ sauce, and fried onions on top. He said it was okay but could have done without the fried onions. The ribs came with a side of mashed potatoes (too dry) and steamed broccoli (very buttery and as a result very tasty). I didn't photograph the ribs but they definitely stole the show. They sat our party of 4 at a small table and when I asked if we could move to a larger table the bartender told us no because the place might fill up and they'd need the larger tables. The Belgian was a bit flat and the pale ale tasted like someone mixed chlorine in to it. I did enjoy the pumpkin ale. We order nachos and they were a bit lackluster. All of the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the platter and there was just barely a sprinkle of tomato olive and jalapeños. Burgers and the fried chicken sandwich were tasty. Stopped in to try it out after snowboarding all day. We each had A beer and got the buffalo chicken dip. Came out super greasy. We even put it on a plate and propped it up with a carrot to try and drain the grease. I get that melted cheese can get greasy, I'm not a dummy. But I've had the same dip other places and the grease was no where near this amount. But I did appreciate all the snacks to dip in it. Tortilla chips, celery, carrots, and pita bread. Had dinner there this evening with my wife. Its the only resteraunt in the area that doesn't price gauge their patrons. The nann bread w goat cheese is off the hook delicious. The burger was as well at 1/2 pds of chopped meat. Whitney was an incredible waitress. If you want a resteraunt in the Catskills that's affordable and delicious be sure to give them a try. Great location too, as it is very close to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort. In fact, we went back the next day too and had the Kale Caesar and French onion soup. The second visit did not disappoint. We had the same server who was super friendly. Also, the hours on Yelp state that it doesn't open until 4, but they are open for lunch. A cute eatery by the hunter mountain ski resort with great location. The menu was sizable. The French onion soup was great - warm and gooey. The nectar naan was different in a good way (on the sweeter side). To our surprise, they also had a few Indian items on the menu. My sister tried chana masala and loved it. Their veggie burrito and fries were okay. The ambiance and location is pretty amazing, with an outside deck facing the mountains. Unfortunately the day we went it was drizzling and cold so we couldn't enjoy that experience. Stopped by HMB for some apres ski apps and beer. Place was pretty busy on arrival and packed by the time we left (3:30-4:30). Cool location near Hu tee Mountain with views of the ski resort. Parking is limited but we knew to park out back. Fireplace and cool layout and decor make for a nice winter environment. We were seated immediately and waitress dropped off menus and beer menu. They are finally brewing beer there so they actually live up to their name. The beer selection was pretty good but the waitress had very little knowledge of the beers on the menu including not knowing the name of their own brewed IPA. I did try their nameless IPA which was quite good and my wife sampled a few beers from other breweries. We had planned on appetizers so we went with three choices. #1) Pretzels and beer cheese - pretzels needed more salt and cheese was watery and lacked a ton of flavor. #2) Garbage Fries - these were served in a large bowl and lived up to their name in a good way. Fries themselves were shoestring and cooked perfectly and they were smothered in cheese, bacon and gravy. Not the healthiest choice but great comfort food. Add a bit of ketchup and they taste even better #3) Spinach Artichoke Dip - the dip itself was decent but the cheese on top made dipping a bit difficult. Served hot and flavorful, I'd probably order it again. Biggest complaint was the dipping vessel choices. It was served with some cut pita wedges, some tortilla chips and some crudités. Pick one and serve it that was. I liked the pita the best but maybe toast them up a bit. Overall the environment is great, food is ok and service was decent. Add a few more home brewed beers to live up to your name as a brewery and give the servers a bit more knowledge on the beers. Definitely family friendly and pricing wasn't too bad for a resort area. The food portions are huge and the quality of the food was really good! Such a great spot to check out if you want to watch the game or if you staying in the area and want to order take-out. Wouldn't come here strictly for the beer but I would for the food. The chicken quesadillas were very tasty and a generous portion. A few other dishes to mention are the loaded fries, meatballs and brisket sandwich were also very good. In my opinion, the beer was average. It wasn't anything special but the Mad Science Sour was the best and most popular at our table. At night they turn the heaters on the deck which is nice so you can stay outside a little longer. My friends and i were excited to try a local brewery and found this one on yelp. I saw that a lot of comments complained about the service but I assumed it was just personal opinion. Unfortunately I have to agree the service at Hunter Mountain Brewery is a deal breaker. We were a group of people and each ordered a beer, which took 20 minutes to come out and the waitress could not distinguish between a black colored Porter and a yellowish beer, which she insisted was the correct drink. My beer was unfortunately room temperstu The 5 appetizers we ordered took another half an hour to come out, two of which were just fries! The staff couldn't give us any kind of time estimate either so we were just waiting hungrily without any kind of expectations. Wings were pretty good, voodoo and garlic flavors. Artichoke dip was good as well and comes with pita and chips. Loaded fries were disappointing. Sweet potato fries tasty but pretty expensive for what you get. Wouldn't recommend coming back.
