He couldn't make it for the fitting but the store said they have his info. from the previous rental so I just provided with the receipt. They gave him the same size but different boots. The first hour it started bothering his ankles and sat out and didn't want to go back. It turned out, the binding strap was worn out and would not stay tight. Binding strap would loosen with any pressure from the boot. That's a major safety issue. So I ended up renting again at the resort. I told the store about it when I returned them but they didn't do anything about it. Lessons learned from my end. I thought the store would comp me for it since the boots weren't used but I got nothing.

They charge about $45 to mount the bindings (discounted from $115), even though both the skis and bindings were purchased there. In my experience, most shops mount bindings for free when both items are bought from them. The skis also had to be sent out (understandable) but then I would be paying for a service and unable to ski for about a week or so. I went to Blue Mountain and found their services to be cheaper and faster. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable--unlike my experience at Buckman's. I'll be going there from now on.

We saved 10% - 20% on the items we had to purchase since renting the skis/boots. They adjusted the bindings while we picked our other items, so no need to come back for ski pick up. Lots of staff to help you, you can tell service is thier main priority. Family owned business and they care! Always have warm fuzzies after shopping there.

Walking into OOB, Jackson came up to us and assessed our skill level and physique before recommending any boards to us. He wasn't pushy about getting us to buy a board and offered us a good deal. My friend paid a little over $750 for the entire package and my board + bindings came to around $470 for the set - all taxes included. All the boards and bindings are set up for you so that if you don't know how to do your own set up, you don't have to worry about it. You can totally tell they're super knowledgeable and passionate about the sport so you can't really go wrong in what they recommend. Highly recommend this shop!!
