But about why I love this place: When my bike decided to have a mysterious wiring malfunction, I tossed it on a tow truck and sent it to see Carl, Ed, Dana, Mike, Steve, Rob and the other guys at Winchester Motosports in Winchester/Clearbrook. Those guys worked on it diligently and without trying to rack up a huge bill, sent me back my bike with a reasonable bill, two newly installed tires, fresh fluids and adjusted this and that. The thing is AAA wouldn't two my bike out to me. So Ed delivered the bike to me, dropped it off and they charged me half of what anyone else would/could have. Nice people. But here's the thing. I took a ride out there the last two weekends to get some things done to the bike and I met Carl, Ed Mike and Dana, all of whom are the NICEST people. They've treated me well, treated everyone I've seen in their shop well, and fairly, and so I will continue to get my bike serviced there, despite being over an hour away. Carl is a great guy, fun to talk to, a fair owner of the shop, knows his bikes, and really enjoys seeing people ride. Mike is a good solid mechanic as are the rest of the boys back there. There are also some very pleasant nice, and dedicated bike enthusiasts floating around this shop. So talk to the folks there. Might not be a destination shop like once of those Monster shops, but I'd rather talk to Winchester any day of the week.

I was looking for more get up and go. Have been holding off on writing a review but now have 5k + miles on the build. This thing is strong, pulls hard through all the gears, has a wide power band and is still getting solid fuel economy. I've done multiple out of state runs with no problems. Jason runs a great shop and can build and tune like no bodies business. If your looking for a good shop check out 141, you won't be disappointed. I won't take my bike anywhere else.

Suzuki Extended plans are not transferrable from a private party to a dealer and then to a private buyer. Hopefully they see this so they can be informed. I figured an authorized Suzuki dealer would know this. I negotiated over the phone and wired the money, and picked up the bike a couple days later. If they hadn't told me about the warranty, this review could've been 5 stars, yet I found out from Suzuki that the extended warranty is void, as I didn't buy it from the previous owner directly. Based on that, if I'm ever in the market for something different, Romney Cycles won't be the place I go to.

(Other dealerships with the same bike added over two thousand dollars ($2k) in various fees, taxes, tariffs, levies and anything else they could dream up. I didn't seal this deal because I wound up buying a different bike that this dealership doesn't carry, but would've def gone with Chris if I had. And I live two states away!

But the one shop I kept hearing recommended over and over again is "the duc pond." As a fan of a well-placed pun myself, I had to check these guys out. They're absolutely not down the street from me, but what the hell did I buy the bike for anyways?! To ride it - so off I set for my 11AM appt (which had me waking up at the buttcrack of dawn... my bad, me) for Winchester. I'm greeted by a giant dog bellowing barks in exchange for head pats. Absolutely had to make that trade, and then the Ducati tech walks out and like a wizard, fixes everything on the bike, gives it a once over bill of health, makes recommendations, and teaches me a few things. It was wonderful. Was it cheap? No - but I'm a huge proponent of "you get what you pay for" and what I wanted was a Ducati technician and what I got was the confidence that my motorcycle had been taken care of. I now have to take the bike to another Ducati dealer for the work W.D. could not perform. I won't even get into the horrible customer service when I originally dropped the bike off....

I couldn't find any second key (I had not labeled it) and assumed we never got one. They came to my home, picked up the UTV and brought it back the same day with two new keys at a more than reasonable price (I don't live far from them). That evening I found the old spare key! Needless to say, I let them know and wanted to make good but they were so kind and I am so glad that they were there when we needed them and willing to bend over backwards for me, even when I was ultimately in wrong.

I was given a deal for a brand new bike with a 131 upgrade included all I had to do was pay for labor. I was told it was 25k plus the labor to install it which was a little over 2 grand. By the time I was in the finance office, the subtotal was 38k and nobody could competently explain where the additional 10k came from. (I did not purchase any extra warranties or parts) Absolutely do not go to Skyline Harley-Davidson.

That being said, we were looking to make the switch from Polaris to Can-Am...in come MotoMember. I first reached out to Chambersburg and was informed that although the website showed (4) 2025 leftovers they in fact had none. When I stated that they should really update your website I got a snarky "you have a good day sir" response. Next I called Purcellville. They stated they had the machine, I said are you Sure!? He said yes it's there and ready to go. I then asked if he could get me the out the door price to PA. An instant, "No, not right now. But I'll call you back later " Now keep in mind this was a phone call. Do they make a habit of hanging up on potential customers? He never did call me back, and that's fine. This dealership chain blew it, big time. They didn't brush off one sale but at least 3 for this season and potentially 3 or 4 more next year. Too many dealerships out there to put up with these kinds of games.
