We keep coming back for a reason! We stopped in during lunch, and while it was quite busy, the service was quick and our order was completely accurate. Everyone was friendly, and the food was fresh and hot. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers, fries, and sodas, and everything hit the spot. Greeted with friendly, smiling carhop, seems very happy with her job and does a great job. The food is simply outstanding, the menue boards take up 1/2 of the building wall with everything and all is great, tasting, good side servings of everything, in a way brings back old High school drive in diners, even tastes the way they cooked. The ice in the drinks is a childhood favorite. And the ice cream is just the best soft serve ever! This is comfort food in its truest form. Mmmm so good! The food was fresh, cooked to order and very good. The only complaint I have is that it is unclear on how to get a waitress to come to your car so you can place your order. Or if you want to get something delicious for dessert. (Finally figured out you turn on your headlights) I have to say the waitress was a little put out that we didn't already know the routine. They have a walk up window but they want everyone to stay in their cars. There are no parking spaces to speak of. At least none were being used. Cars in all directions. So not everyone can get a good look at the menu on the wall. It took a little while longer the first time because of the learning curve. read more

Best burger in Farmington. This is a little roadside burger stand which has drive-up car hop service. The prices are great, the food is greater, and they have a nice menu selection for your local small-town dairyette/burger barn. The ice cream is classic soft serve and one of the best I've had. The burgers are out of this world good. They have lots of choices from the menu including sandwiches, salads, fried fish, etc. I personally love the burgers so much that I always have one as my main course here. The french fries are some of the best as well, but if you're in the mood for something different to go with your burger they also have fried mushrooms, and (amongst other choices), sweet potato french fries with a marshmallow dip which are surprisingly good. Forget the fast food burgers in Farmington... if you want a burger this is the place to go. But, be warned, they don't take cards so you better have cash on you! read more

We had no idea you can actually still smoke in here. There are a whopping 2 booths in the "nonsmoking " section, so we smelled like smoke when we left. This is an old diner style dairy bar that hasn't been updated since it was opened. If you can overlook the "interior decorating," it's a great little place. If you're looking for organic or gourmet food, keep driving. But if you want a pizza burger, tater tots and milk shake for under $7, you've found your spot. Have loved Hunts Dairy Bar for 30+ years when I used to be a car hop. They had one of the original 'oreo milkshakes'..awesome ice cream...hand rolled hamburgers with fresh meat daily and you can tell in the taste. "Western" added to the burger means..BIG.lol..They even have small toddler/children's burger..which are slider size, but great for little ones.. My favs have always been the Orange Freeze or the taco salad...also the Western BBQ beef is right up there on the list. Car hops and waitresses work hard..mostly for tips..and on rainy or snowy days..the pocketbook suffers.Great place...The Park Hills location has a bit more parking space... read more

My first time was early on a beautiful May weekday evening, on a picnic table in the shade of their huge awning. No heat, humidity nor bugs. Fine, friendly service. I didn't know to bring cash (only), but now you will. But there's a working ATM a one-minute walk away at a local pub, so it's all good. The food, double burgers with fries, was fresh, juicy and way up there at awesome. These folks know how to hit a ten on my TBO scale. If you haven't seen that in another of my reviews, TBO stands for taste bud orgasm. This place gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so I'm guessing it's best to show up early if you're bringing a carload of hungry kids, so they're able to get a table where they can spill all the burger juices, ketchup and ice cream for somebody else to clean up, right? read more
