Came here to get fresh catch cooked up. We asked for it blackened and more blackened. The more blackened was the favorite for the entire group, but both were great. For my main course, I had the Jambalaya - Shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, bell peppers, onion, celery and tomato over rice, which was awesome. For Jambalaya this one wasn't too dry, and the spice level was perfect. Dessert was Key Lime Pie. Does it beat Kermit's? Well, I guess you will need to try and decide for yourself. I still prefer Kermit's but others were mixed on their favorites. The place itself has a friendly feel to it. Yes, it is part of a marina, but for the most part, once you go through the restaurant entrance, you are in a different outside world. There are covered areas too if needed. read more

Marina is super cute and has a bar and restaurant. You can rent boats, jet skis, kayak,and paddleboard here. You can even have a guided tour. Your right in the marina that leads out directly to the ocean. Four legged friends are allowed on all re tals as well so bring them along. read more

Hurricane Hole always has solid food, and great outdoor atmosphere. Right overlooking the water, you can always see tarpon swimming in the marina and often times manatees while you're eating your lunch or dinner. They have a great happy hour 4-7pm with discounted appetizers, beers, well, drinks, and wine , every day. My favorite food is the blackened chicken bowl. You can also get it with fish. My husband has had the burger a few times, It is massive with two patties. My favorite part about hurricane hole is the very affordable "cook your catch " which they will cook whatever fish or lobster you bring to them from your fishing trip (already filleted) for $13 a person. They cook your catch grilled, blackened, Panko crust, or fried. Some of the blackened fish was too heavily blackened, it over-took the taste of the fish. But otherwise delicious. You can get an optional taco setup for $2 extra. It's the most affordable cook-your-catch on the island!!! Make sure to try the Tito's fresh lemonade on tap!! The lemons are fresh squeezed. You can tell it is real!! So addicting and the vodka goes down like water. Lol. I eat here a lot and I'll continue to come back! read more

Will recommend blackened - perfectly seasoned ( not too much and you cna taste your fish) Choice of several sides ( rice and black beans , coleslaw and sweet potato fries - extra $1.00) They have the best key lime pie - big portion , thick and creamy, balance of sweetness and tartness of the lime. We stopped for lunch this time at the Hurricane Hole. The catch of the day was yellowtail snapper. The chalkboard also announced that "It's too hot for soup!" They're not wrong. It's been very hot for October. Despite that we dined outside because our child adores the "black & red pirate ship". The sign was up to "please seat yourself" so we sat in a shaded spot where we could watch the play area. The service was fast, and the right level of attentive. I chose the catch of the day in panko and what I received was highly seasoned with light flaky texture. Everything was nicely cooked and not especially greasy, as fish and chips often can be. The tartar sauce is a great counterpoint to the seasoning in the panko. Husband has a Caesar salad with blackened catch of the day. He loves yellowtail. read more

We went to Hurricane Hole Fresh Seafood Grill and loved it so much that we ended up going three days in a row. The food is delicious, with very reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes. We tried the Bubba Burger, the Shrimp Wrap, the Shrimp Po' Boy, and the Catch Reuben, and every dish was outstanding--fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The restaurant has a beautiful tropical atmosphere with a stunning view of the marina, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent as well. We especially want to highlight Teak, our server, who was always friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Came over from Lazy Dog Adventures next door after a couple hours of kayaking. The staff member at Lazy Dog Adventures did say the food was good and we were hungry. Also, we were looking to utilize our newly gifted 10% coupon. Before sitting ourselves down, we confirmed with our server that the restaurant was dog friendly. The server told us it was service dog only. As we got ready to leave, she told us as long as the other customers didn't mind, we could stay. It didn't look like the other customers minded, so we stayed. My husband and I ordered a couple of beverages, conch fritters, a red snapper sandwich, and a salad to share. The food came out pretty quickly. I have to say the food tasted like standard bar and grill food, but that's what a lot of the restaurants in Key West are like. Being able to enjoy our food on the deck, overlooking the water, with our dog next to us was great though. Service was good too. So a friend keeps his boat here, and we've had drinks there. Amazing tiki bar feel sitting by the water. Today, we stayed near there and went in for lunch. If you go, go hungry. Visited Hurricane Hole based on other Yelpers while in Key West. This is dockside - very casual - near still water tucked into a marina. Easy to spot with great signage by the road. If you are expecting an ocean view, this is not it. Your view dockside is more like a small pond with some houseboats on it. The fish of the day was conch. We ordered conch fitters, which came with two different aiolis - key lime and ancho chili. This was a pleasant surprise for a dish! Delicious! The contrast of the aiolis made for a festive, fun palette experience. My husband ordered the reuben with plantains. He raved about it. I ordered the shrimp wrap, and I have to say - this was the best shrimp wrap I have ever had. It was a large portion - I took half home. But the use of shredded parmesan into the wrap made for a really pleasant flavor. My side was cole slaw - what a surprise to find it made with dill! I enjoyed it, but if dill isn't your thing, be aware. 5-stars for the food, good service, and price. I read reviews for helpful tips, so I like to leave them if possible. Here's a helpful tip if you visit - this place is dockside near still water. We had a very pleasant dining experience - until dusk. When the sun started to dip...MOSQUITOS. Very, very bad. Our server even apologized. This doesn't negate any positives about the restaurant - just know that if you go in the evening, wear bug spray!! I had on capris and short sleeves - I was pretty covered in bites, even though we asked for the check within minutes of realizing the situation. Likely our favorite meal of our 3 day trip to the Keys! I feel like a lot of locals come here. It's a dive atmosphere.. nothing fancy.. but good food and excellent portions! My husband and I came on a weekday night. It's seat yourself and we found a table right away. We ordered the catch bites which happened to be golden tile fish. They were excellent! Not too breaded, seasoned well, and the fish tasted nice and buttery! I ordered the catch of the day entree: grilled golden tile. I had Brussels sprouts as a side. The fish was excellent again and choosing the grilled option really allowed the flavor of the golden tile to shine. The Brussel sprouts were salty and I would choose a different side next time. My husband ordered the catch Reuben which was dense, thick, and filling! I had a bite and it was really tasty (never thought about a fish Reuben before)! Service was quick and friendly. The place is located in a marina, so a view of the boats yes but no view of the ocean. Lots of mosquitos at night.. just a heads up! Would love to return to try more food! read more

We actually stayed in one of the aqua lodges. After we returned from boat trip, we all decided to eat at the Marina. Of course you can not beat the ambiance of the Marina. Right on the water. Two of my kids ordered burgers, one kid order blackened fresh catch tacos along with my husband, I ordered fresh catch blackened. It was amazing!!! The service was fantastic! I cannot remember her name but she was superb. We have to move to a different location for our last night in Key West but we all decided we want to come back to Hurricane Hole to eat dinner for our last night. We all loved the marina! read more

Which is why they're honestly, often too busy for me but people Love, Love, Love this place. And they've always been Great whenever we've been in. I don't think I've ever once left a review for a restaurant. I only have this app to look at the pictures of food. However I need to make an exception because this place had the best chicken tenders I've ever had and as a chicken tender enthusiast, this is saying a lot. Not only were their chicken tenders juicy and heavenly, but their ranch was also incredibly good. It's like the perfect combo. So sad this place is only in Key West. Will def be visiting this spot during all of my future Key West trips. Oh and I just wanna give a quick honorable mention to their Key Lime pie. It did not disappoint. Crappy service, decent food. Sat at the bar and ordered food. Paid with a CC and decided to leave the tip in cash so put O (zero) on the tip line. Bartender started berating us in front of everybody because he saw a zero tip asking if we were "locals" because they need tips. Absolutely no class! I can't believe I haven't review Hurricane Hole! This was the first restaurant I tried when I moved here. In fact, it was the only restaurant I visited for a while. It is a marina restaurant and there are many of those in the Keys. The menu is similar in most of these places, but it is one of the best Keys marina type restaurants. I like watching the boats and tikis sail away. Tikis? Well, it's a cool unique thing that I haven't done yet. One of the things that I love about Hurricane Hole is that they offer a wide variety of watersports. I have taken a few of their kayak tours and I love it every time. They offer whatever you want to do: boat rentals, jet skis, paddleboards, etc. In regards to the restaurant, I love their view and ambiance. It's simple, relaxing, and laidback. I personally like the Shrimp Po' Boy and the Fish & chips, which is usually offered as a special. Service is very friendly here as well. 4 stars. read more
