Went there to get ice cream. My child walked up and said hello to the lady tending the food counter. She ignored him. He said it several times and even said I would like chocolate ice cream. It was aweful to see that she did not acknowledge him. A bit shocking to watch that. I didn't bother to ask her name because I felt it would be the same way. Stumbled across this cute little café since we couldn't find parking at our local favorite. This was nearby and situated right on the water with super cute outdoor seating . Bonus is the little play area for my toddler with a slide and photo ops . Can't say much for service as you order at the bar and they bring your food out but table service is nonexistent as far as drink refills, checking on how the food is, etc. Tips are expected at the time of ordering. Prices are just as high as any local restaurant, including Duval Street, but I found the fish sandwich to be flavorless. Both my son and I ordered the Mahi sandwich 2/5 , served on a Cuban bread with lettuce and tomato . there was a lot of juice coming out, but it was cooked dry if that makes sense. This place is fantastic! It's a nice shack like environment right next to a couple of tourist water sport spots. They have a great happy hour and to my surprise they carried bold rock! I had the local catch, which was swordfish, and it was delicious! I also tried the conch fritters and they were great! After a day of traipsing around downtown Key West, we wanted a nice quiet spot to grab a bite. Stock Rock delivered. We sat outside and the weather was lovely. Hate to say this but the only reason this place gets any stars is for the ocean view and the ambience of this little restaurant. It's so cute and fun vibe. Stock Rock Cafe is tucked away on the water on Stock Island, thus the name. There may even be a slip to dock your boat if you come by water. This is a neat island feel kind of place with ample parking if you come by vehicle. We were greeted by our delightful and efficient server Katie. Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 and discounts apply to drafts, bottles, cans and some food items. There are many well spaced tables under the thatched roof, and more tables in the sun and along a long bar overlooking the water. For Covid time great distancing. I noticed the staff spraying and wiping tables and menus often. Many of the tables are picnic style but a few have comfy chairs with backs. The menu offers something for all tastes even for those who are vegetarians. On our visit we had the shrimp deep fried...there were 12 large shrimp in the order! Kick'in Chicken and Feisty Chicken Sandwiches were enjoyed as well as Vicky's Tacos that are all veggies. Stock Rock caters to families too. There are some play items for kids to enjoy. Great little spot with an awesome vibe. The tiki hit atmosphere is just what you want when vacationing in this area. They also had 3 massive TVs and an outdoor bar. A belligerent man at the bar yelled at me (profanities and all) because he assumed I wouldn't give a tip. (I didn't give when we ordered. We discovered Stock Rock on our last trip down to Key West. The location is great and the restaurant is right on the water. There are plenty of shady spots to sit as well. It is dog friendly! Sat for an hour waiting for our food. Then watched it sit literally in the window for at-least ten minutes while other servers were reaching over ours to grab other tables orders.
