The doctor finally came in and I voiced my frustration of having to wait such a long time. He didn't seem very sincere when he apologized with empty words to appease me. I think this is just part of their practice and they think they are so busy and making so much money that they can get away with their disregard for their patients. Well, I'm taking my business elsewhere. StG may be a small town, but there are other ophthalmologists who will be happy to have my business. I'll make sure my primary care physician knows so he can stop referring them to patients.

Advised all staff I was there for yearly exam & nothing else, they responded yeah it can be expensive. Dr. Nathan Andersen complete my exam then asked if I ever had problem seeing as my eyelids were sagging. I said never. Got my bill & he had them put the diagnosis of ptosis and I was charged hundreds for it. Insurance co said just have them resubmit with correct billing. Called office, staff was rude & started yelling at me on phone. Will submit to Ins Dept, Dept of Licensing. They do not allow Google reviews as they would have many negative ones, had many bad occurrences with 3 of there so called Dr.s. Stay away.

Tried many different Doctors with no improvement, was referred to Dr. Eric Drake. The treatment included IPL therapy and Prokera membranes. After two months of treatments about every two weeks, I no longer have dry eye, pain and sight is great. i highly recommend the staff at Southwest Vision and Dr. Drake, they changed my life for the better. He said that i could only get the very best Clearview 3 lenses there. They are such high quality that Medicare would not cover them so it would all be out of pocket (9K). He said that when the surgery was complete that I would be able to throw away my glasses, that I would be able to see clearly near and far and wouldn't even need readers. That was in October of 2024. My vision has been cloudy in both eyes ever since. I have been back to see Paul and he has written two prescriptions for glasses, neither of which is any better that my poor vision without them. He has given me no explanation for why this has occurred. I've been to other specialists to see if I can have these removed and replaced and was told that I might end up with a detached retina so I'm stuck with these. I also wrote an email and a letter to Bryan Monson who seems to be good friends with Paul. I described my experience and have not received any response. To say that Paul Gooch overpromised and underdelivered is an understatement. Not sure what his exact relationship with Monson vision is but I can tell you that trusting Paul was a huge mistake.
