I waited almost an hour in the exam room after they added drops to dilate my pupils. No one checked in on me during the entire time despite 6 or 7 young staff members talking and laughing outside the door at one of their work stations. The doctor finally came in and I voiced my frustration of having to wait such a long time. He didn't seem very sincere when he apologized with empty words to appease me. I think this is just part of their practice and they think they are so busy and making so much money that they can get away with their disregard for their patients. Well, I'm taking my business elsewhere. StG may be a small town, but there are other ophthalmologists who will be happy to have my business. I'll make sure my primary care physician knows so he can stop referring them to patients. read more

Terrible place, treat patients like cattle at slaughter house. I'm a retired senior & went in for my yearly preventative which is covered by insurance. Advised all staff I was there for yearly exam & nothing else, they responded yeah it can be expensive. Dr. Nathan Andersen complete my exam then asked if I ever had problem seeing as my eyelids were sagging. I said never. Got my bill & he had them put the diagnosis of ptosis and I was charged hundreds for it. Insurance co said just have them resubmit with correct billing. Called office, staff was rude & started yelling at me on phone. Will submit to Ins Dept, Dept of Licensing. They do not allow Google reviews as they would have many negative ones, had many bad occurrences with 3 of there so called Dr.s. Stay away. read more

Crazy Good!!! Dr. Anderson is " Crazy Good" I went to see Dr. Anderson with not to High of Hope's, caused by an injury to my eye lid in a Karate match many years ago! After the surgery I was incredibly astonished by the perfection that Dr. Anderson did in that surgery! Even in the surgery we were having fun and talking to each other. Wow! I went to get my free screening for Lasik surgery in early May. I did not qualify and was told I have early stages of Glaucoma. Being a disabled veteran I contacted the VA to authorize my treatment at this office. One lady deals with billing for Veterans named Lindsey. Lindsey has been rude from the beginning telling me short answers telling me what I need to do and just being rude. Lindsey per the office contract refuses to contact the VA and keeps telling me to contact community care. She then claimed she sent the authorization request last month and told me the VA denied the service. The VA claims they did not deny anything. I contacted the VA Community Care and they told me they sent the authorization number via fax on June 21st 2024. Lindsey told me to contact them again to have it resent and I said according to them per your contract, you should be handling this, not the customer. She went into a rant about having to deal with 5 others claims and she just refused to even take the authorization number. She hung up on me. When I called back she refused to give me her supervisor's name claiming that her boss was out of town and transferred me to a message machine. If this is how the billing department handles disabled war veterans, I am concerned about how they treat a regular customer? Do they make them do all their work and deal with the insurance companies themselves while being rude to them? This review will remain here until somebody contacts me with some answers and apologies. I guess my eyes are as important to Lindsey as her customer service. UPDATE...I can't believe that Lindsey called me again today after telling me she already talked to me once today. She wanted to give me my authorization number and schedule an appointment. I already had it. I already did her job for her. She claimed that she called the VA and got the information needed. So basically she did her job and didn't call to apologize but rather tell me that she is calling not to argue. Why did she rant about 5 other billings she had to deal with today. She told me she already talked to me today once and then hung up on me. Now she is calling me back? I did her job for her. You are welcome for my services Lindsey. I'll told her to stick it and have her supervisor contact me when he/she gets back from being out of town. read more

Dr. Anderson performed a ptosis repair surgery on my left eye, and he did a terrific job! Nathan is one of the most personable doctors that I have ever met, he does precision work, and obviously cares very much about his patients and their well-being. He personally called me the evening of my surgery day simply to ensure that I was doing well. my 62 year old son recently had cataract surgery on both eyes! They were done about two weeks apart. His results are phenomenal!!! He had to travel long distances and they accommodated him beautifully!! We all are most pleased and grateful to St. George Eye Center!!!! They only let you watch HGTV when you are in the waiting room. I'm not sure if maybe HGTV gave them the TV set so they will only let you watch HGTV or the lady at the front desk is a remote control Nazi and will only let you watch the station she likes the best. I hate that channel so I had to go out to the main lobby and wait. I told my roommate to find another eye clinic because I sure don't ever want to go back. I told a friend about it and she said she noticed that at the Dr. surgery center off of Bluff they also only have HGTV on. I think its a HGTV conspiracy. Strange how an office staff can effect what Dr. you want. read more

Before actually meeting with Dr. Slade, medical assistants took me through some preliminary tests and then I met with him. Explained what we were going to do, what to expect and was very positive about the outcome, I will re-visit this review following the procedure. read more
