Took my dog here for 4 years and our last appt they found a hemangiosarcoma on his spleen. He was 11 and also having issues with mobility. Dr. Jamie told us the tumor was very large and will likely burst and surgery wasn't recommended because of his size and age. We made the tough decision to have him euthanized at home. He was 125 lbs and hard to get in the car so we chose to do it at home with Lap of Love. I had purchased an expensive medicine right before I made the decision. I emailed them to let them know I had him put down and the response was "thanks for letting us know". I replied and asked about the medicine, can I return it, and no response. No call, no I'm sorry. Most heartless place ever. Never any compassion at all. If I ever get another pet, I will never come here again. I am still on their marketing emails too. Got one today suggesting something for my dead dog. Horrible and so hurtful! The people at the front aren't friendly either. Do better, or better yet, get all new staff and start over. read more

Took my kitties here to be neutered. One of them also needed an umbilical hernia repair. A couple hours after dropping them off, I got a call from the vet explaining that one of the kitties had an undescended testicle and explained what was needed in order to remove it. Picked up my kitties and they are doing great! Some things I really liked: The staff was very helpful and friendly. The genuinely seem to care about the animals they are treating - even the staff that doesn't work with the animals! Prices are affordable Vet called and explained procedure Some things I didn't care for: They double-charged me for a test. I noticed it and they refunded me the money promptly. (Ask for a detailed receipt always!!!) Felt a little rushed upon checkout in general. I called back twice with questions. Great vet clinic for our pets. Been bringing our pets here for about 3 yrs. Had a cat return to us after 2 YEARS (long story) and they got Schmidt all checked out and recovered. They also have a good laugh at his antics when we bring him in. They're also great with our dog Gordie, who is a bit nervous at the vet. They give you lots of options, and tell you what they use/do for their own pets. They also keep affordability in mind, which we really appreciate. Wish they had more availability with their groomers, it's a smaller place and I hear good things about it. All in all, we'd recommend this place for your pets. They're busy often, but they do their best to work with you pretty well on scheduling. read more

My dog had Cushing's disease and was slowly going down but hanging in there; still mobile, eating fine, etc. I took my dog here to get the Cushing's test so that he could get medication for it. Dr. JACK BURKS gave him medication with no explanation about how toxic the meds could be and/or to beware of adverse reactions. He died after his 3rd dose. Not recommended. read more

Please do not bring your beloved pet here. I brought my fur baby here in hopes to get some answers and help for his eye that was bothering him. I was only seen for 3 minutes and then shoved medicine with no explanation other than how to administer the medication. After a week of no relief for my fur babies eye, I got very concerned and seek treatment somewhere else for a second opinion.. after being told the medication this vet gave my dog delayed healing, irritated it more, and has MADE HIM almost if not completely BLIND..I am actually in shock that someone who went to school for over 5 years to treat animals would do something like this. I will not ever return here, and if you care about your dogs well being - there are several others to choose from in this area. Dissatisfied. I strongly suggest staying away from this clinic. We took our 14 year old dog there to be put down and it was an awful experience. What was already a stressful situation for my husband and myself, was made so much worse due to the office manager, Jerry. He came in due to a payment mistake made by their office and was more worried about charging more than what we were quoted than the fact that our dog was laying there about to be put to sleep. It was so stressful that our dog who was already in bad shape got up and was panting and pacing the room because Jerry was in there making it very stressful for all of us. It was absolutely terrible and heartbreaking for not only my husband and I but our dog as well. Definitely not the way we were wanting to spend the last few minutes of his life. Jerry lacked any sort of good customer service, compassion and good bedside manner. We have since adopted a new puppy and there is NO WAY we will ever return to this vet. We will gladly take our new puppy somewhere else. Just a horrible experience overall. Along with all of that, no one knows what they're doing up there regarding payments. read more

I've been to this clinic twice with my cat with treatment from Dr. Connor. The first time was a general examination and treatment for my cat's paw injury but I wasn't given much detail on the side effects of the antibiotics or the tablets given to her. My cat was really traumatized after I gave her the first tablet. She refused to eat much of her food and would always hide under her bed. I later went to the clinic again for a general examination and concerns of my cat's lack of appetite. Apparently she had severe gingivitis and had to get surgery for dental extractions that would cost more than $800. During this whole situation, Dr. Connor was really rude and said that if I didn't like the services then I should seek them elsewhere (I'm assuming he said this because I gave him a poor rating on the first visit via email they sent out). Additionally, I tried to share my concerns but they had me talk to Jerry, who is one of the general managers. He was really impatient and rude. He kept talking over me and also told me that I should get service elsewhere. Chassity is the other general manager but she was a lot kinder and understanding what I was going through. The rest of the office staff is also really nice and kind but I wish I didn't have to interact with Dr. Connor or Jerry which ruined my experience here. read more

Came here to have my cat spayed & get an annual exam done as well. The clinic is very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Making an appointment was easy. And they even offered a quote on what my visit would cost at the end of my call. My cat was in and out in a day and sent home with all of the necessary things for her recovery. Only reason I didn't give five stars was my final bill was $132 more than what I was quoted over the phone. So just be advised about that potentially happening. Please do not send your fur babies here. My cats had a grooming appointment on 9/25/23, and it was the worst experience. They quoted me $90 each for grooming and a possible $50 sedation fee for the dumb black one. So, I was thinking around $250 bill. When I picked them up, they told me it would be $496! They said it was for the sedation ($176) and a yearly for the black one ($140). She had just been in their office a month earlier. I tried to talk to the manager in private, but he came out to the waiting room and humiliated me in front of a room full of people. Then, when I got them home, they looked absolutely awful. (See pics). I asked for a pom pom tail and did not receive it. So I called to try and remedy the situation, and the manager argued with me with, "Well everyone has a different idea of what a lion cut looks like." instead of, "What can I do to make it right." When I brought that to his attention, he said that he would talk to the groomer and call me back. I have yet to hear from them (2 weeks later). I'm out almost $500, and my poor babies look awful. read more

After care from a surgery and don't even get to speak with the vet. Was provided a med that needs to be quartered per pill and was told they couldn't cut the pill. They put a cone on her head and I asked how to remove it and put it back on and the girl that brought her out didn't even know how to show me how to do so. My pup has dried blood in several places on her body and wasn't even cleaned up before they gave her to me. So disappointed. I have never had this type of poor service from any of my previous animals from my old vet in OK. From now on I will take her back to my OK vet where they know how to treat their clients. read more

I was referred to this animal clinic by a friend who has lots of pets, so she definitely knows where the best places are. I took my cat there to get her teeth cleaned and a couple of teeth pulled. They were so great with her. Well, I just adopted a dog from Fort Worth Animal Control and had him neutered there. I had scheduled the follow-up with Hurst Animal Clinic for this Friday. Long story short, my rescue got to the wound site about 5 days after the surgery. Hurst Animal Clinic let me stop by today (Tuesday) so they could take a peek and see if he was ok. No charge!!! So Charlie has his appointment for Friday and he is ok. They go above and beyond, their staff is friendly and they are reasonably priced for the great job they do! read more

My 3 year old pup and I just got done with our first visit here and we are very pleased. I noticed last night my poor pup was scratching her ear excessively and tilting her head. This morning I was able to give her a closer exam and noticed she had some build up in her ear and it was obviously red. I called this morning to make an appointment and they had a slot free at 2:30pm. I was so relieved. We got there at 2:15 and I had already filled out the new client paper work (which you can go to their website and print out). We were early so I expected a wait. But we actually got in a room at 2:40 and that was with 3 people ahead of me. Not bad! The tech Brandi was so sweet and gentle. She welcomed us with a warm smile and calm demeanor. She gently got a swab from both my pup's ears and said the Dr. will exam them under a scope and be in shortly. Brandi was also kind enough to give my pup a treat to make everything as positive as possible. Dr. Hawkins came in shortly after that and confirmed a double ear infection. She also greeted me with a warm smile and pet my pup gently and gave her a treat. They really took their time with us and answered all my questions with sweet consideration. I didn't feel rushed and my pup was so happy she seemed to have forgotten she was at the vet. Even before I scheduled the appointment I asked how much it would be and I ended up paying that exact price. Definitely not unreasonable. It was $45.50 for the exam, $29.95 for the ear exam and $36 for ear medication. I was expecting to pay double that, and was so relieved when I didn't have to. Thank you so much Brandi and Dr. Hawkins! I've had some terrible experiences in the past and was weary of seeing someone new but was so pleased and happy at how our appointment went! After I moved, I went back to HAC. They are amazing, personable, and love my pets. The prices are reasonable and the care is excellent.

My little guy started having a serious cough so I took him to our original vet and they brushed us off regarding the symptoms. The cough continued so I looked for another vet for a second opinion. This clinic was recommended by someone we knew so I figured let's give it a go. I took my little guy in for the first visit and it was recommended antibiotics and a cough medicine pill. He took all the antibiotics but would throw up the cough medicine. A chest xray was also done. The cough remained so I went in for a second appointment and asked them to redo the chest xray as the first one wasn't clear because my little guy was wiggling around. It was stated that both xrays showed his heart to be a little enlarged but on the high end of normal. Was told to give it some time. . .I asked about getting an ultrasound of his heart. It was ordered and we got it done. The vet, Dr. Conner, called but I couldn't pick up as I was driving. I pulled into a parking lot, listened to the message and called them right back. The tech said she would have Dr. Conner call me back. I waited all day, never got a call so decided to call in the morning. Was put on hold and the tech comes back on the line and states "Dr. Conner says there's no need to talk with you anymore about the situation". . .WHAT ?? He has no need to communicate with me about my little guys health. . .$1100.00 spent and NO answer about what is going on. . .seriously ? He can't take a moment to come to the phone or call me back ? I have been receiving emails and appointment cards in the mail about how my little guys check up visit is due this month. Dr. Conner, if you're reading this, you can stop sending the emails and cards. . .you didn't have the time or concern for my loved little guy, I don't have the time or concern to continue coming to your clinic. You all should be ashamed of ignoring patients. Do better. read more

This was my first time going to this vet on 06/05/15. Let me tell you!! Hands down this is the best vet clinic I've been to in a long time! I had just got a few week old kitten for my daughter a week prior on Craigslist, and wanted to get him checked out. (we all know about Craigslist! Lol) Our kitten had a couple of minor treatable issues such as a parasite worm in his stomach, and a small eye infection. Both currently being treated with antibiotics. The wait was not long(since I had my papers filled out prior) and we were seen by Dr. Ginny! She is the most compassionate and very positive vet dr that I've ever met! She showed so much affection and care towards my kitten! She even gave him a kiss! Aww! She was very knowledgeable about our kitten's situation, and I didn't feel like I was being "hustled" at all! The pricing for me was very affordable! I just wished that I was able to purchase some good pet insurance that covered the wellness, vaccines, etc prior to. But, he's going to keep seeing Dr. Ginny as he grows and gets ready for his first set of vaccines/deworming, and in a month he would be a great candidate to be neutered as well! This is our first time establishing a vet, and let me tell you...Dr. Ginny and her team has got my business! I found Hurst Animal Clinic through a Google search, and even then there were so many good reviews which to me was too good to be true! I've experienced this first hand that Hurst Animal Clinic hands down is the best! I look forward to taking our furry family member there for his needs! I took my elderly cat there for xrays and blood work under sedation 6/23/2023. During the time she was there I was notified they were just waiting on the blood results but that my cat had sustained a three in tear in her skin. I asked if she was scruffed or dropped and told no/ I went to pick my cat up and when I checked her in The carrier there was glue all I. Her fur from clavicle to clavicle and around her back and in her fur with open wounds. They just smeared it around her neck haphazardly and provided me with me with no care instructions or ointments . my partner and I demanded and explanation where we were taken to a back exam room and assumed again she was not scruffed. I did not relieve them and kept pushing and the offic manager jerry pelts sagas "yeah! we scruffier her! We grabbed her! Mai what?!?". Well the so what is the physical injuries to my cats neck. the vet dr Romero jerry Became very aggressive and confro rational so we called the police, waited outside, filed a report, took pics. and I just took my fur baby to a new vet this morning for treatment. read more

We've been coming here for about a year, until recently I'd give them an all around C- for service. The inside of this place is clean, but below average in appearance. Front desk staff is friendly but compared to my experience at prior vets not very enthusiastic, I've never gotten a real sense of animal love when we show up.. at least for dogs in my case (two - golden retrievers). But fair enough, it's a business I guess, that's the feel I get when I go there. Transactional. We typically wait 15-20 mins after our appt time to be called back. We recently scheduled some grooming appts for our dogs which led to them requesting our dogs vac records. Turns out they forgot about giving one of my pups their RABIES vac, and the other their Parvo vac. We called, they agreed to provide the Rabies vac free of charge but were adamant they'd done the Parvo (I questioned them heavily on this) - so we went and got the Rabies Vac (I will give them that it was free of charge, but it was their mistake in the first place. I also had to wait around 15 mins again just for this one shot - which again was their fault so I expected to be IN and OUT.) We called the groomers back advising we did the Rabies and they said Parvo was good. Well guess what, they DID also forget the PARVO so we had to go BACK AGAIN. Their records seem like a mess. I'm just thankful our GROOMERS caught this places mistake, as it could have been very very bad. Zero stars. Will never return and recommend you don't bring any loved animals to this place. I will say - Darrell - one of the vets is pretty awesome though (the one exception from our experience).. if you DO take the risk of going to this place, see him. read more

When Dr Daryl bought the clinic I was a little nervous, but through the years he has been terrific. I have referred several people who are now also loyal clients. Incompetent and rude. Both Vets at this office checked my rescue cat for its sex and said it was a girl. That was until they cut her open and discovered there was no uterus and also no testicles. Meaning either she is a medical miracle or these people need to go back to veterinary school. I paid twice as much as quoted for the spay/microchip (about $300) for a male cat that didn't need to be cut open in the first place. Fast forward to a week later the incision is not healing well (pussy/bloody) and the receptionist Christina refused to even speak to the Dr about seeing her this morning and actually hung up on me while I was almost in tears. We will never be back to this clinic and if you love your pets and want a caring and competent vet you should look elsewhere. read more
