Blink and 8 years will go by like that...we have been with Finan Animal hospital since we first…read moremoved to the area and it has been a blessing to have such an incredible veterinary practice looking after our two pups. My older one is turning ten years old and it has been an emotional year with injuries related to aging. She had dental surgery a couple weeks ago, and then a tear in her knee shortly after from normal wear-and-tear. I feel as though Dr Testolin saved her life with the latest diagnosis related to her hind knee as if both knees went out, we would be faced with difficult decisions around quality of life and we're nowhere near ready for that. We have another surgery coming up to repair the knee mechanics and hoping for a postive outcome; she's a very active dog and we would love to continue this amazing journey, especially now that she's big sister to her hooman baby brother. There's no words to describe the comfort they provide for our pets and thank you doesn't seem like enough. We have faced very high-stress situations this year, especially with a newborn but knowing they're around is a major relief. Dr Finan and her team are the best at what they do and Dr Testolin's care has allowed both of our pups to live their best lives. The journey and memories have been amazing and we're looking forward to many more, thank you to everyone at Finan Animal Hospital - Best, Charlie

Finan Animal Hospital…read more Horrible customer service. My girlfriend had taken her pup here a few times. On one occasion the diagnosis didn't fit the symptoms and turned out the diagnosis was wrong. On our next visit, she asked to talk to a manager and told her the situation and just said she wasn't happy. The manager didn't come in, but the Dr who had the incorrect diagnosis. Didn't ask for any money back, didn't make a big deal. Just said what she felt was incorrect and why. Well, she must have taken it personal as when she called again to make an appointment, she was told because of the complaint, they would no longer see her pup. Boy, talk about great customer service!! I'll be sure and spread the word if you voice your concerns they won't see you again.

I brought bunny back the next day and this vet took no accountability for potentially be aggressive with bunny ears. First visit charged over $250 and I fought with them to in good faith refund or offer credit for ear drops I was now directed to stop using. This vet is only concerned with over charging. Next day they fought with me at front desk and was refusing to issue my credit for the meds that they agreed to credit because we didn't bring the meds back to them for the credit which is very odd because normally any other vet does not want you to bring Meds back for credit because legally, they cannot take the meds back. They were trying to get me to pay an additional $140 for next day check and we actually had to demand that they give us our bunny back. They were trying to not give us our bunny back because of the fact that they owed us a credit and would not give it to us without the medication in hand. My daughter had to drive all the way back home and then all the way back to give them back the eardrops in order for them to issue my credit and then all of a sudden they added an additional medication onto my bill, charging me over $90 After the credit, when they told me earlier that all I had to owe them for that next day visit was a little over $40. The bottom line is that this veterinary practice took no accountability whatsoever for creating an additional either inner ear, or neurological problem by the aggressive treatment to my bunny ears. I will never go back to this place and I hope that this is a message for those that might be using this vet for exotic pets in particular.

Dr. Michelle Radwanski is an excellent, excellent Vet!! I brought my dogs to her yesterday. All you need is a wonderful Vet to realize the crappy service you've been receiving. Dr. Michelle is warm and compassionate- just wonderful!! She took her time to check my dogs out and gave me some hard answers not just the guessing junk that I had been receiving for way too long. She really put my mind as ease now to know that my babies are in good hands. We will definitely be back we have found our new Veterinarian! I love her Christmas decor- a definite plus for this ornament collector!!

Upon entering, we were greeted with such a warm and cozy space - not typical for a veterinarian clinic. It was absolutely gorgeous and they had the fireplace on. The FURniture was so comfy and it made us feel so welcomed and felt like we were taking our cat to someone's home to get treatment. The exam room that we were in was so beautiful. The space smelled so nice and I loved the granite and cabinetry, so atypical compared to the sterile, hospital setting. Dr. Thatcher was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful and patient with all of our questions and with our technical issues sending Orion's medical records. She was very thorough with her explanations and broke down Orion's treatment plan so that it was easy to follow and understand. It's super convenient to have in-house labs so we were able to immediately get Orion's lab results during our appointment and plan his treatment right then and there. My sister and I are both so happy that we decided to try this spot and now we personally understand the very much-deserved 5 star rating. They definitely put the hospital in hospitality and would highly recommend.

We brought him in to see Dr. Sexton in December to discuss why he has a decreased appetite and why he isn't drinking water. Dr. Sexton advised us to change his food and see what happens. During this visit she did also take blood work and said there was nothing abnormal about it. Our dog started to eat normally again for about a month and all the sudden came to a hard stop and wouldn't touch the new food we gave him and wouldn't go near his water bowl. Growing very concerned we took him back in to see Dr. Rooney and this man did nothing but laugh in my face and told me I was overreacting and needed to wait it out.. even though I told him our dog hadn't passed any normal amount of stool in a WEEK and hasn't been drinking nearly enough water! We started him on the rice and chicken diet as directed and came up with no change. So we decided to bring him to a new vet... and within minutes of us being there they found a lymph node the size of a golf ball that Dr. Rooney had ruled out as "he's just being sensitive when I touch here- don't mind him yelping in pain" And they also found that he has pancreatitis. The new vet then showed me the blood work that was taken back in December from this vet office and it shows that he was HIGHLY LIKELY FOR PANCREATITIS THERE TOO!! Dr. Rooney AND Dr. Sexton wrote out that he was showing signs of it but then turned around and told us there was nothing abnormal about the bloodwork. So this entire time we could have been treating him for something that's been making him uncomfortable and affecting his entire system. We were never once told that this was occurring or even to just be aware of it. Never told to change up his diet due to this or that this could become an issue in the future. I am beyond upset and hope both Drs have their license taken away. I hope you never laugh in another persons face and tell them they are overreacting when they tell you something is wrong with their pet. Will never be back to this horrible clinic again.

And to say "business" almost feels like an insult --- they treat you and your pets like family. Down to the staff not batting an eye at my cat having three human escorts to his appts, not only the doctors but also the tech's/assistants remembering that my cat only has one kidney, the type of food my cat eats, all the way to remembering how my cat likes to be swaddled when going in the back for a blood draw. They truly care about your animal companion and not the bottom line. They are always honest about benefits and costs (not just to your wallet but to your furry baby as well) of tests, treatments, etc and i feel that they truly understand what it means to be in charge of their little bodies and hugely important lives. We have also enjoyed getting to know the newest doctor to the practice --- Dr. A --- she has proven to have the attitude and style of practice that we have come to love in Darien Animal Clinic. (We just hope to NOT see you for any unexpected visits soon, k? ) Don't hesitate to meet Dr. A! Shout out to Marcy for being an incredible part of the team - she is so reassuring and positive and never loses patience with crazy anxious cat-mom's (not that i would know what that is like).

However, over the past year, I have had several concerns regarding my experiences with the clinic. These concerns include vaccines or procedures that appeared to be unnecessary, medication charges that seemed higher than expected, and several interactions with staff that felt unprofessional or unfriendly, including comments made during phone conversations. I also noticed information on the clinic's website that appears to be inaccurate. Additionally, the fact that only one doctor remains in the practice is concerning. I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that these issues can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
