Brought my bunny with an ear infection to this vet. After aggressively rubbing bunny's ears and took in back to clean ears, then sent me away with ear drops, as soon as I got home, bunny was off balance, bobbing head up and down and off balance trying to hop. I brought bunny back the next day and this vet took no accountability for potentially be aggressive with bunny ears. First visit charged over $250 and I fought with them to in good faith refund or offer credit for ear drops I was now directed to stop using. This vet is only concerned with over charging. Next day they fought with me at front desk and was refusing to issue my credit for the meds that they agreed to credit because we didn't bring the meds back to them for the credit which is very odd because normally any other vet does not want you to bring Meds back for credit because legally, they cannot take the meds back. They were trying to get me to pay an additional $140 for next day check and we actually had to demand that they give us our bunny back. They were trying to not give us our bunny back because of the fact that they owed us a credit and would not give it to us without the medication in hand. My daughter had to drive all the way back home and then all the way back to give them back the eardrops in order for them to issue my credit and then all of a sudden they added an additional medication onto my bill, charging me over $90 After the credit, when they told me earlier that all I had to owe them for that next day visit was a little over $40. The bottom line is that this veterinary practice took no accountability whatsoever for creating an additional either inner ear, or neurological problem by the aggressive treatment to my bunny ears. I will never go back to this place and I hope that this is a message for those that might be using this vet for exotic pets in particular. read more

We take our dog and cats there who are all in the "senior" age range. Believe we have cycled through all the doctors there and they have ALL been great! No charging for things not needed and they take the time to go over things needed. We started going when we moved here and they took the time to review the prior records which was SO appreciated and transitioned their care so smoothly. Great vet doctors need great staff and they have them both in back and in front! We appreciate having such a great team close by. read more

We've been here three times so far, for checkups and sadly once to put our daughter's pet rat to sleep. They've been very thoughtful each time -- and particularly good at speaking to the kids about making decisions for their pets, including hard decisions. The building is clean, new, and well taken care of, prices were reasonable and everyone involved was kind and patient. We came here for our small animal needs but will likely stay with the practice for our new cat even though others are closer. read more

Since moving out here a little over a year ago this is the second time I've brought my fur babies here for a check up. Both times I have been very happy. The waiting area is large, clean, and comfortable. The people at the front desk are friendly and welcoming. The exam rooms are clean and a reasonable size for pets to wander around in. I've seen two different vets and both have been very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. Both times I felt my cats were in great hands. They have listened and responded to my questions and concerns respectfully. As well as handled my cats gently and with obvious care and skill. i have had horrible experiences at other vets. it's extremely difficult to find a caring avian doctor. everyone here was so kind. my bird and i saw doctor jessica h. i have a quaker parrot that accidentally ate plastic beads. the physician gave us two options: take the medication route then after perform a crop flush if meds weren't effective. she was so gentle in handling my bird. the technician was also extremely sweet to my baby. the prices for xray and exam were reasonable. in the end my bird turned out being just fine. i will be returning read more

I have a blue fronted Amazon parrot with a dirty vent. I noticed it over the weekend, and talked to a few vet hospitals to see if I could get him in over the weekend, but didn't have confidence in the conversations I had or they were closed till Monday. Decided to wait till Monday, and after reading reviews and reached out to All Creatures Great and Small. From the caring receptionist to the wonderful vet and her assistant, they were wonderful with my bird. He hasn't been to a vet in many years and typically does not have good bird manners. The vet who took care of him had a parrot growing up and knew just how to handle him. They diagnosed his problems, took care of his nails, and sent me home with Instructions on how to get him well again. Everything went great. I recently moved to the area and my neighbor recommended All Creatures Great & Small. I have a dog who is 9-10 years old who has been limping more than usual (he has an old leg fracture that healed on its own when he was found as a stray). I saw Dr. Hulesch and she was fantastic! Very personable, knowledgeable, and great with my dog! I'm lucky my neighbor recommended this place. As a bonus, they have a very spacious waiting area which is good because my dog can be leash reactive with other dogs. Very nice, clean building. I'll be going back for sure! read more

My family has brought our pets to be patients at All Creatures Great and Small for a while now. When I moved out on my own and got my two cats Steve (5 years old) and Sophia (12 years old), I made them patients of All Creatures Great and Small right away! Dr. Jessica is one of the nicest people I have ever interacted with! She is very knowledgeable about cats, and she is great at explaining what is going on in terms that are simple to understand. Something I respect about this practice is that if there is a problem, they always talk about the test/procedure options and prices for everything! I have never had an experience with them where I felt a test they did was unnecessary or a waste of money. This was huge for me, considering my cat Steve has urinary issues that need to be checked out on a regular basis. There was also one time where my 12 year-old cat Sophia needed a surgery (she was 11 at the time). I remember asking Dr. Jessica the following question, "If this was your cat, what would you do?" My partner and I were worried about so many different parts of the surgery like Sophia's well-being and our finances as well. I don't remember exactly what Dr. Jessica said, but all I remember is feeling like all of our concerns were listened to, and I remember her guiding us to the best decision for our fur baby. On surgery day, I also felt so calm and knew Sophia would be in the best hands. Overall, there are so many amazing things that I could say about this practice! Thank you to Dr. Jessica, the vet technicians and the other doctors that have stepped in and helped my kitties! Love this team ! I have two dogs that have been going here since we moved to DG 4 years ago. We have seen both Eisenbergs and Dr. Boews more times than I can count and they take great care of my girl, always answer all of my questions , get back to me very quickly and sometimes after hours. They even let me drop one of my dogs off when she was really sick, but they had no appointments available, so other staff could monitor her until she could be seen by a Dr. Their new building is GORGEOUS and a major upgrade. The building is big and beautiful, clean, the parking lot is spacious. I called ahead and gave everyone background on my dog including that he does not like other dogs. It was easy for me to get him in, they had the room ready and waiting. The doctor reception and vet techs were all very professional and efficient. I am a very straight to the point person and they listened and helped me accomplish my goals without any fuss. Highly recommend. We have taken all 7 of our dogs past and present, a cat and Guinea pigs. Best in DG. I established ourselves with them because they are very close to us. They are very accommodating and really been there for us when it was time for 3 of our dogs to pass. In such a difficult time they made it easier. I don't agree with the bad reviews and it's because your pet aka family member should have a regular vet for routine vaccinations or if they are not feeling well. There's no way I'm going to take a chance in an emergency and I know All Creatures is always there for us. We mostly see Dr. Eisenberg and Dr. Boles, they are great. So for very few bad reviews, you are placing the blame on the wrong people. Blame yourself for not having a regular vet. Just like people animals need a doctor. I took both of my dogs to All Creatures Great and Small since they were puppies which was 16 years ago. They are kind, compassionate, patient and some of the greatest people I have ever known. My first dog passed away in 2016 and Dr. Ken was so incredibly kind during the whole process. I just lost my second dog a couple of weeks ago and there was not a dry eye in the room and Dr. Bowes was so incredibly wonderful and let me take my time saying goodbye. I have taken all 3 of my dogs here since they were babies and it's been up and down. I like to have consistency in a Vet but not here even when you have a scheduled appointment it's not always guaranteed who you will get. I had called for Monday appointments for all 3 dogs when I called they said they could possible get me in at an earlier time- they would call me back, but never did and blew me off the 2 follow up calls I made. I called the morning of and they were so rude with me when I asked if there was any room for me to come earlier as I was in the area and I live 45 mins away. The girl was rude and said no then I said okay I may need to change I'll call you back and let you know, instead she canceled all of my appointments without my consent. Talk about disappointment, never again will I make the trip. They are also extremely overpriced. Do not recommend! read more

This is Gabbana. She is my our family's dog. She collapsed on Friday. My wife ran to the vet across the way from her, All Creatures Great and Small, and knocked on the door with a clearly limp little dog in her arms. Nobody would let her in. She called. THEY PUT HER ON HOLD while they stared at her through the glass. She wisely left and went to Arboretum View, where she was helped immediately. I would never post on here, but then I talked to the owner, Dr. Eisenberg, who DEFENDED his staff's actions. He said everyone was busy and they were trying to find out protocol. I worked in a vet hospital for years. Protocol for a dying dog is to grab it no questions asked, and interrupt a vet if needed. He was extremely cold and rude, and it's clear that this is a business, and they don't mind letting an innocent dog suffer, especially if you're not already their client. I come in for a (allergy Shot) Cyopoint is $175.00, Heartworm $15.00 Flea & Tick is $50.00 every 12 weeks. It just seems like it gets more expensive everytime we go there. My husband and I are first-time puppy parents, and new to the area. We turned to our trusty friend Yelp for help with finding a vet, and boy, are we glad that we found this place. Dr. Lindsay and the staff here are fantastic with our dog, and always so helpful and efficient. During one appointment, we arrived a few minutes early and actually ended up being finished with the entire trip just minutes after our appointment was scheduled to begin. This, of course, isn't to say they aren't thorough - they're incredibly patient and kind, and you never feel rushed or hurried to quit asking questions. Dr. Lindsay provided me with a ton of guidance as we navigated puppy socialization, and always asks follow-up questions about issues I mentioned on previous visits. I also feel like the pricing is reasonable, although I've never compared it to other vets in the area. Above all, the entire team is amazing with our dog - she gets SO excited when we pull in the parking lot. There are vets that are closer to our home, but I wouldn't ever think about trusting anyone but these great folks with our furry family member. Andrew is the best!!! He really cares about your animals and is super intelligent. My entire family sees him and he's saved my parents cats lives countless times. They are now 18-19 years old and are doing just fine living their best lives. We bring our 2 cats to see him and he doesn't jump to unnecessary conclusions when something is wrong. He really takes his time and takes the proper steps to give the best care. We are super thankful for this great practice and their new building is absolutely beautiful! read more

One of our dogs seemed "off"... not eating, vomiting, looked slightly jaundice... so we called ACGAS first thing in the morning with our concerns and they squeezed us in with an emergency appointment. Dr. Ken Eisenberg immediately suggested getting her on IV fluids and running bloodwork. She ended up hospitalized at their clinic for five days and he went with his gut and treated aggressively for leptospirosis which after some additional blood testing was absolutely on the money. His quick action saved her life and his team and the other vets took amazing care of her until she was released to continue her treatment at home. They called me every day with an update. Can't say enough good things about this practice. read more

could not be happier with this vet!! we usually take our two dogs to a local vax clinic for shots and whatnot but the boy dog required more. made a seamless appointment that was confirmed by them which was appreciated. got to the appointment, cute house turned business. lovely lovely staff. boy dog is 90 pounds of an excitable fun slug and they treated him like a king. dr was amazing too. very very happy! hopefully won't be back but if we have to, I'll be more than happy!!! read more

This is the best vet EVER!!! I don't give many 5 stars but this place totally deserves it. Thanks to all you Yelpers, I found this wonderful veterinary practice. Exceptional service. Great prices. Wonderful care! I came in as a new patient, and my 7 year old dog needed his annual physical, rabies, and distemper vaccine. I also had concerns with his skin (an ongoing problem), and one of his teeth that was really loose and rotting (gross I know). The vaccines were priced at reasonable rates; I called other vets and it was the same. The tooth, my biggest concern, I asked if the vet could just numb it and pull it out. Dr. Murninghan took my dog back and said' "I'll see what I can do." He comes back a few minutes later with my dog's tooth gone! He said it came out easy and my dog didn't even cry! I was so so relieved that Dr. Murninghan took care of the tooth like that! My previous vet in Lombard wanted over $1000 to knock the dog out and extract the teeth! I was sent home with meds for my dog's skin, and a much happier pet. My dog was so so happy with his bad tooth gone; when we got home he was running around like a wild man! And I was super happy too, with the bill just over $200 for everything, and a super happy pet. FIVE STARS all the way to All Creatures Great and Small! read more

I had to make the very difficult decision of putting my best friend to sleep. The staff was very courteous, and they explained the whole thing and were very helpful through the process. I knew it was the right thing to do in my mind, but it never feels right in the heart. Shortly thereafter, I got a card from Dr. Jim Antonicic saying that we'd made the right choice. I know my old vet would never have done that. They were too busy pitching me $1000 teeth whitenings and Omega 3 pills. read more
