Was refused treatment!! Brought my dog to this location a little after 7am this morning, he was having trouble breathing. Ther door was locked and I had to bang on the door. The women who opened the door said they don't take new pets after 7. My dog was gasping for his breath. She told me to go to another clinic and with a big smile told me to have a nice day. My dog passed away in the car after being refused treatmenot. NO compassion, NO sense of urgency. People like her should not be in this field . Shame on you, you are a heartless person! I want to thank everyone at ER Veterinary Services of Lisle for the extraordinary care our senior citizen cat Lacey received over the last week. To say they went above and beyond for us and our cat is a complete understatement. The compassion, care and extra unexpected steps and an honest heartfelt prognosis they had for us personally and for our cat Lacey was so desperately needed and so appreciated. Lacey left us early Monday morning to join her brothers and sisters at the Rainbow Bridge. Because of my Angels at Lisle ER Veterinary Services, we were able to get one more day/night with her before she passed in my arms. I had a very scary situation this morning with my dog. To make a long story short, he was bleeding excessively from his butt. From the moment I called, all the way through the check out process and having my dog handed back to me, was wonderful. Since we obviously couldn't go in due to the recent pandemic, it made me feel so much better having the vet call me throughout the process and explain to me what she was thinking in terms of possible issues and what her plan was to find the issue. We were given a very clear explanation on what the issue is and how we need to take care of it so that he recovers properly. The staff here was so friendly and reassuring. They showed my little guy so much love and I couldn't have asked for a better experience and more patient people during such a scary time. I can't say enough nice things about Emergency Vet Services of Lisle!! Riley ate 40 Culturelle Probiotic & Multivitamins for kids. The first ingredient was Xylitol!!!! It kills animals. It goes immed to the liver, within minutes. Riley was extremely ill, required IVs, calls to poison control and the expertise of the doctors at Emergency Vet Services in Lisle. She stayed overnight and after tests, meds & IVs Riley is on the road to recovery!! Xylitol is very dangerous....Riley is one lucky dog and it looks as if her liver will repair the damage The only problem is that on regular days (M-S) they are closed from 8am til noon. We had to bring Riley home for 4 hours then back at noon. However, on holiday weekends they are open 24 hours. They have the kindest & compassionate doctors, vet techs and staff. Brought our lab here today to be evaluated after being in the lake for the weekend she developed a swollen lump on her underside and was not eating or drinking. We filled out the paperwork to be evaluated, was told the wait would be 30-40mins. After waiting in our car for an hour, finally got the go ahead to come inside. Waited inside for an additional 20 mins, (our puppy was beginning to become very anxious and pacing back and fourth). The tech then came to tell us it would be an additional 30 mins. We decided to leave to seek treatment elsewhere. Not informative, not personable, no sense of timeliness, not an effective business model. -In response to the comment made by owner, there were no other dogs present for an emergent service. We were told that the doctors were doing rounds for change of shift. We were waiting in the room while hearing the staff talk and talk about their personal lives. I am an ICU nurse and my boyfriend is a paramedic fireman, we understand emergency triage and moving cases as they emerge. Care was delayed because of your incompetent staff. read more

Our older dog had a seizure for the first time and we didn't know what to do. I called Emergency Vet Services to confirm that they were open and let them know my husband was on his way with our girl. I was obviously distraught and the person I spoke to was gentle and patient. The hospital did what testing they could and made sure she was stable enough to come home. Ultimately she needed to see a neurologist and undergo an MRI to fully diagnose her issue, but this hospital did a great job getting her stable and giving us the information we needed to proceed with her care. read more

Sadly, I have had to help two of my babies with their passing in two years and on a holiday weekend and went here for help. Both times, during COVID, the staff here couldn't have been more caring. I know dealing with this type of situation was made even more difficult during a pandemic, because you want to be with your loved one at that time and the staff were very respectful and made that happen. I ended up going to VCA in Downer's Grove. When I called they said they couldn't give my cat (with a URI - our other cat had just been to the vet earlier in the week with the same thing) antibiotics without a chest x-ray for around $400. When I said our other cat didn't need that earlier in the week, she said any new vet would require it because they are not familiar with the patient. Even though I just got antibiotics earlier in the week for my other cat at a vet that wasn't his regular one (our regular vet was full). Sure enough no issue at VCA emergency - antibiotics and fluids, no X-rays required. This emergency vet came well-recommended. So this is disappointing. I have pet insurance so it wouldn't have cost me much more, but it just felt like a money grab. read more

At the recommendation of our regular vet, we brought our dog here when she had a seizure one evening. Our dog is very old, so we were really expecting the worst. Dr. Stephenson and staff treated us so well. From our initial phone call to our interactions at the clinic, everyone was sympathetic, professional, and reassuring. They have an on-site lab and we're able to have blood work results back in less than 15 minutes, allowing them to quickly make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. By the time they were finished, our dog was almost back to her very old self. And by the next day, she was completely back to normal. We know our time is limited with this little one, but we really appreciated the calm, compassionate, sensible approach to getting her feeling well again. read more

The Doctor was very personable. The other staff not as friendly or welcoming. Some of the techs look your way and then turned to walk through the clinic doors in an unauthorized area with not even acknowledging the customers. A simple, "Hey how's is going" can go along way. The covid restrictions was a bit overkill. We are 2 years into the pandemic, let's move on. Why would I wear a mask in an exam room when I am by myself? That's like driving in a car alone with a mask on. It's ridiculous. When calling the Vet in a panic I asked her what the address was because I was coming from a long way and she said "look it up on the website". A little panic stricken and wasn't sure why she couldn't tell me the address. I felt that was rude; perhaps she doesn't know the address? Whatever the issue was, there was no reason to be so rude. read more

We brought my dog home 10 minutes ago and I immediately rushed to post this: When our senior pup's legs gave out in the middle of the night (on Mother's Day no less), the staff here was absolutely spectacular. I feel like it's easy to brush off a hysterical woman and her 14-year-old dog, but Dr. Amy Smith was patient, reassuring and committed to finding out answers. Everyone was very kind and prepared when I called to check in on him multiple times. I am floored with the level of professionalism and positivity they brought -- especially since the nature of this place is that it's the last place you want to go and it's usually in the middle of the night. Unfortunately we had to take our 14 month old lab here when she ate a rib bone on the 4th of July. We are from Seattle, and had driven to Naperville to visit family, and I was a complete mess, worried about our pup, Kimmi, especially since we knew no vets in the area. Emergency Veterinary Services of Lisle was amazing. They were so nice and calming, assured me my girl would be ok, and were very communicitaive about what they would so with Kimmi and how they would treat her. Since it is COVID-19 times, we waited in the parking lot. A vet tech, Katie, was so sweet to Kimmi and my husband and I. She brought Kimmi in while we waited in the parking lot. Not long later, Dr. Amy called from inside to walk us through what they did with Kimmi and let us know she was just fine and answered our questions. Everyone was respectful and efficient. This is a hard review to write. Our very loved family dog passed away last week, late on a week night. :( Our normal animal hospital we go to in Naperville so closed so we brought her here as this location is open all night. We really, really appreciated that it was open. We were welcomed with sympathy and compassion from the minute we walked in. The kind representative when through all of the cremation options and the paw print mold thoroughly but quickly. My family and I had a few last minutes with our sweet girl in a private room. The absolute hardest part :( Another very sweet representative came in with the paw print mold for us to take home and gave us her condolences. The room had a giant tissue box and we were told to take as much time as we needed. We never felt rushed. This was such a hard night and week for us but this emergency vet provided us with so much warmth and compassion during this time. Thank you for that. read more

Dr. Heather and her staff went above and beyond during our darkest hours, on more than one occasion. Our fur babies are the most important and precious things in our lives and trusting them in Dr: Heather's capable hands is something I never doubted! It is so hard to find honest, caring and compassionate veterinarians and Dr. Heather truly went above and beyond to save my mothers dogs dogs when we thought all hope was lost! It is so difficult and unimaginable to consider finances at a time when you worry your pet may not live, but Dr. Heather and her staff completely eased my mind. The prices for treatment at her practice are more than reasonable and extremely competitive especially considering veterinary services can easily cost 6 months worth of mortgage payments! I never once had to choose between my mom's dog or wallet! Lastly and most important is the customer service and "patient" care provided! Not only was our dog comfortable and pain free, but I had complete piece of mind the entire time we were there. This place deserves all the stars. Our cat appeared in pain, and we had no answers. We found this place online, and I am so glad we did. There were strict Covid protocols, which made me appreciate their adherence to standards. They saw our cat within 20 minutes during emergency hours. He was X-rayed, injected with pain meds, and given instructions in under an hour. You can tell everyone working there cared. Dr. Samantha was excellent. The pricing was super reasonable. Last week my partner and I ran into a terrifying incident in which our 9 week old puppy had possibly managed to get into something hazardous. When we brought her in it was recommended that she stay the night, which was no shock due to the condition she was in. We were kept up to date and were told we were more than welcome to call anytime we would like to keep posted. We had almost thought there was a chance that she wouldn't make it. Our hearts were completely flipped the entire night. In the morning we were told she was doing much better and could come and get her.. within the next couple of days she was back to her little crazy self. **Dr. Amy and the staff there are wonderful and the price was actually much less than expected all things considered Thank you all so much again. read more

Brought my 13 year old dog here after getting terrible results from countryside veterinary center. They found similar results to countryside but they gave a better chance for my dog to live and much more details on the situation They found a mass tumor in his abdomen. While they did not perform surgery at this location they redirected me to VCA arboretum view just to get a more detailed test to see if my dog would survive surgery. I am a happy client of All Creatures Great & Small. They refer any after hours care to this "emergency" vet. Tonight, I brought My dog here because she has a tear in her ear. I registered online, called them when I was outside. They told me they would be with me in a few minutes. It starts storming really bad. So, not only am I in a car with a bleeding dog. Now I'm in a car with a terrified and bleeding dog because they don't allow anyone in the building of course. After 35 minutes, they call me to tell me their power went out and they are working off of a backup generator, SO THEY CAN ONLY ACCEPT CASH CLIENTS. Wtf kind of emergency service are you ? I asked if they could send a bill in the mail or call when their power is up again to take payment over the phone. The reply I got was "we don't work like that. I see here your dog has a possible torn ear. Laceration repair can cost about $700 or more." Obviously I'm not a drug dealer, so I don't have that wad of cash hanging out in my mom bag. What kind of emergency medical place thinks it's appropriate to ask for hundreds/thousands of dollars in cash (period), but especially AFTER YOU ALREADY CHECKED IN AND WERE TOLD YOU WERE GOING TO BE SEEN. My dog has been to this place before, so they have our info on file and could easily send a bill. I'm so angry. Never again. Clearly you care about money (which I have, just not in cash at 7pm on a Tuesday) way more than you care about helping animals. You are TERRIBLE. I will be posting this review everywhere I possibly can, including neighborhood social media pages. Luckily, our regular and very caring/professional vet called me a little bit ago and told me what to do for now until they see her in the morning. F this place. I have been concerned about my new baby kitten since I picked him up a couple of days ago. He was lethargic and began having trouble breathing. I took him to a new vet on Saturday who said it was just a cold. Then I had sat with my kitty for a day listening to the trouble he was having breathing and I noted a tinge of blood in his nose after sneezing hard. So I went to the nearest emergency and found that he might have a sinise infection and not just a cold. I was relieved to hear this and took the medications offered for my new kitty. I am grateful for doctors and clinics that aid pet owners when they are feeling really lost and scared and it's a late Sunday night. Thank you to this service. My only real objection is that they took my kitty away from me, rather than come in and do the exam with me, as the vet does. I would have prefered not to have him taken away for so long. Other than that I am satisfied and glad I got the medications tonight for my kitty. Thank you. read more

Our 14 year old Lab Lucky declined rapidly over the weekend and we knew it was time to say goodbye to her. We couldn't wait for our vet to open on Monday and reached out to Emergency Veterinary Services of Lisle. Lucky and us got the best compassionate treatment. Everyone spoke sweetly to Lucky and respectfully and empathetically to us. We were able to accompany Lucky throughout the whole process and were never rushed. We got time to say our private goodbyes before the procedure and after she passed. Lucky died so peacefully. I can understand some people, when the visit does not have a positive outcome, want to blame someone, but after a number of visits here over 20 years, I am glad they are here. For our latest visit, our dog was in respiratory distress and was seen immediately. Being in the medical profession, I found the treatment to be "spot on" and when our dog was stabilized, the doctor came out and explained everything including follow up care. We were in, treated, and out in 30 minutes. Yes, the waiting room is in desperate need of "cheering up', but there are new owners who will hopefully improve the overall appearance so you are not soooooooo totally depressed while waiting. Yes, it is probably more expensive than your regular vet, but it is the middle of the night and they are THERE. However, the staff we dealt with, Emma and Dr. James Bascharon, were both compassionate and caring and answered all our questions. We did not even have to deal with any of the paper work until we were ready to leave. read more

I don't know what it is- but my cats never seem to get sick during my normal vet's hours. No- they choose Sundays, holidays and late at night to come to me with their various ailments leaving me in a quandary as to whether it can wait or if it requires immediate care. Well, when it's the latter- I am happy that Emergency Veterinary Service is open. I have used them 4 times and they are always empathetic, helpful and efficient. While it costs more than your normal vet ($95 emergency flat fee to start and it goes up from there) and they don't take appointments so you may be there a while if a more urgent case comes in, these issues seem small when your four legged friend is looking up at you with those eyes that are trying to tell you that something is wrong. They are a full service vet covering all hospital services, animal surgery and even hospitalization if your pet needs it. I found this place years ago as both my regular vet and the Humane Society that I volunteer at recommend it. They do ask that you call before you go, if you can, so that they know you are coming and can help prioritize the level of emergencies that are inbound. While I hope you and your pet never need this place- it's comforting to know that our four legged friends can get quality care no matter when they get sick. And for this animal lover- that alone is worth the price. read more

Staff is amazing there! We had an emergency situation with our puppy and needed to get him to the ER. We called and reached Ali. She was so kind and informative. She guided us through the processes of registration and the added measures being implemented due to the global pandemic. When we arrived she came out to our car wearing gloves and the appropriate attire to protect everyone. Dr. Amy Smith came out next to talk to us about treatment.
