Literally the most humiliating haircut I have received since I was in middle school. Nothing like the picture, way way shorter and when she was finished, she didn't even attempt to style it. She said that "you are probably better at that than I would be." I have told everyone that I think it was actually the cleaning lady that cut my hair because it certainly couldn't have been a professional hairdresser. It's been 3 weeks and I can just now bear talking about it. I've been in loads of bobby pins and hats just to survive. It's seriously that bad. Demoralizing. Please don't let the older lady near your head with a pair of scissors. It's going to take me MONTHS to grow enough length to get this mess fixed. Thanks for nothing, Hush Salon. read more

I can't speak for all the stylists here, I have only seen Polly. I went and had my hair cut with her 3 months before my wedding. At that appointment I spoke with her about doing my color job for my wedding. We talked about exactly what I wanted and she assured me it was no problem. Told me to make the appointment closer to the date and that was that. When the wedding got closer I scheduled my color appointment for 2 weeks before. I sent her pictures of the colors I wanted she again said no problem. I show up and she starts to the job and gets half way through and runs out dye in the bowl. Said she had to go get some quick. 30 minutes later she comes back complaining about how busy our local grocery store was. When I asked why she went there she said thats where she bought my dye. She had been using boxed dye from the grocery store the whole time. At this point half my head is covered so I let her finish in hopes it wouldn't suck. When she was done it was nothing like I wanted. The darker color had sat too long and over took the other colors she put in. Every morning I woke up with dye all over my bed and bleach spots showing in my hair. I spent a week trying to find someone to fix it before my wedding and when I did, had to pay an extra $400 to hide all the mistakes she had made. Ended up walking down the aisle with completely different hair then I wanted. It looked great but nothing like what I was hoping to have. I contacted the salon several times and emailed to no response. I'm so beyond upset with how things turned out and especially with the fact that NO ONE got back to me when I tried contacting them. That was the worst salon experience of my life so far. Will never go back and would highly recommend looking somewhere else for any hair needs. read more

My son who is on the autism spectrum worked so hard to be brave and we went to the salon for his second haircut in his entire life. Joan, was so rude told me she had something to do outside of work. I told her my son was autistic and she kept saying what? What? Like she couldn't hear me. She put my son's head into the shampooing sink and started to scrub his hair really firmly and hard and he was crying and crying. The most wonderful woman aaron, and another stylist who has blonde hair, saved my son's experience! Aaron is the most kind, wonderful, understanding stylist. My son walked out of the salon happy with his brand new haircut! We are making an appointment to see Aaron again soon. I do not believe that other woman should be working with the public especially children with special needs.​ read more

I will never visit this salon again. I showed the stylist Joan the exact picture of the haircut I wanted and she cut it completely different and WAY shorter! This woman needs training in customer service given that some of her comments were out of line and discriminatory. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place at all costs! read more

I went in and saw Joan. She acted like she didn't know about dying hair at all which made me super nervous but I decided to go forward anyway. To begin she was almost 30 minutes late calling me back. She proceeded to dye my hair in a way we hadn't talked about. She put 2INCHES OF THE BROWN DYE ON MY FORHEAD!! I still have it a week later. My roots didn't take the color making it look exactly how I came in. I asked her to blow and straighten it as I left and she didn't even do that even though she said she would. She just said you won't look like how you wanted. Who does that?!?! On top of all of that she said it was weird that I was going to travel without my husband for 3 weeks. Who cares?! I called to complain and the other staff member said they all think that she's crazy. She also said that she would give me those owners number as I said I didn't want to make a review affecting anyone else. Had she said what she was going to do I wouldn't have written this. I'm New to area so called to see if I could get an appt for pedicure. Made arrangements, arrived on time everything seemed nice. Then things took a turn. The nail tech started to clean out the foot basin and found the water would not drain. Seems that it always has issues or so she said. She then says I have a way to get the water out. She goes to the back of salon and drags out a tub of used dirty towels and starts sopping up the water in the basin. I'm watching this thinking what is going on! Truly thought this can't be happening. She actually was going to use dirty used towels to soak up water then fill it up again for me to put my feet in? I told her sorry but this is not going to work for me. And walked out. Not a place I'd want to support. read more

The reason this salon is called hush is because of all the gossip in Tillamook. The hairstylists here like to talk about clients and personal matters instead of focusing on actually cutting and coloring hair. Tillamook is a small town which means that they have their clientele and that's it. They need to appreciate the business that they get and retrain on hair cutting and coloring techniques outside of Tillamook. Appreciate the tourists that do come into your salon read more

I love the atmosphere at this salon. Friendly ladies always with a smile on their face. The stylist have years of experience and now they have two young nail technicians as well. Both have been out of school for a year and know all the latest trends. A lady before me left a 1 star review and slandered one of the nail technicians...um she came in for her full a month and a half after her nails were done, your supposed to do a full every 2weeks lady. Sam is my nail girl and she is friendly and buys high end product. I've never had any issues with my nails now that I go to sam. I highly recommend Sam and back her work read more
