The staff here are so kind, excellent customer service. The rooms are nice. The sofa is super comfortable. The bed and pillows smelled nice and I slept really well. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a convection oven. Very convocation for going out. And the staff recommended a great place to get late night food. There were repairs made to the room that didn't get painted and some milder in the shower grout. But those were the only negative things. read more

We had a good stay at Hyatt House Augusta / Downtown. The hotel is in a convenient location, though the area feels a little rough around the edges. Our room was solid--comfortable and clean, though not particularly fancy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was quite good. We did run into an issue with our key card at check-out and were locked out, and the front desk couldn't resolve it, but housekeeping was able to assist, so it wasn't a major problem. Overall, it's a practical and reasonably priced option if you need a convenient downtown location. Not the most luxurious stay, but solid and dependable. read more

We were in town for the weekend and decided to give this place a try. It was a good decision. We got a room on the 6th floor with a nice view. The bed and room were both very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. The lobby is nicely decorated and free breakfast is included. The 8th floor/rooftop has a bar and huge banquet room for events. When in Augusta we've stayed in several hotels on Washington Rd and downtown. Some were nothing less than nightmares! We were so pleasantly pleased with our stay at this facility. It was clean, our room was decently appointed, has many amenities, staff was very accommodating, free on-street parking and small surcharge for off-street structure parking, complimentary continental breakfast and close to many downtown eateries and main thoroughfares and freeways. This hotel is a mess! First the positive, nice rooftop bar, okay breakfast, good coffee. The people that work here are kind and welcoming. The bad: the room we are in is terrible, first the key card did not work, we had to request it fixed 3 times. The room is dirty, grungy shades, dirty walls, dirty toilet, moldy shower walls. I stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights and overall I had a good stay. The room and bed was comfortable, but they failed to clean the room and give me more towels while I was there. Stayed here cause this is where my company put us and I have to say it's really not bad. The room had a fridge, microwave and a REALLY COMFORTABLE bed. The bed alone made me love this place. Didn't wanna get up for my 4:30am alarm. They gave us free breakfast which had eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fruit.....a bunch of stuff to choose from. It was good but the flavor was a little bit lacking. Maybe cause I'm from NYC and not used to southern cooking. Still good tho! And they had coffee which included my favorite creamer (French vanilla) for an option so that made me happy. The staff was also very nice and welcoming. Got a bunch of hellos and good mornings; love it! My only complaint is there was a weird smell in the room and the shower took a while to get hot. So disappointing! Honestly, I have nothing but bad experiences with Hyatt, so this is the straw that broke the camels back. Stayed here for a wedding. Was told by front desk that the room wouldn't be serviced and if we wanted extra towels, we would have to request. Fair enough during the times of COVID. Two days later we have a maid knocking on our door, fails to wait for a response, and barges in. Luckily the door jam was there so she couldn't come in. Got a piss poor apology from the hotel and the company. The room was in okay condition. The shower wasn't so clean (body hair left from previous guest), leftover condiment sauces from last guest.... Thanksgiving week 2021 - Hotel is operating on COVID Protocols Front door is kept locked due to COVID, not a bad neighborhood they say. Me did encounter same agressive panhandlers. If you keep walking I don't think you'll be bothered. When we were standing and talking is when a panhandler came up and started tapping my adult son's sholder and asked for money. About the front door- Some staff open it remotely whe others wait for you to press the call button or use your key card. Seemed inconvenient. Some employees wear masks, but not all. A maintenance person joins my elevator as the 4th person and he was unmasked. Some wear a mask, but improperly. Overall COVID protocols were inconsistent. They were followed with not changing out sheets or towles. The street parking in front of the hotel is free, 24/7, and the hotel offers covered parking for an additional $7.00/day. Had a suite with a kitchenette. The most noticeable issue with the kitchen was that our feet stuck to the floor. We let them know that was unacceptable at 8:00 am and it was removed between Noon and 4pm while we were away. Some of the cups and dishes were cracked or chipped. Housekeeping fixed all that once they got the message from the front desk. Plan ahead / don't expect any immediatly. Tues - Thursday was quiet at night, but Friday the nightclub across the street (The Scene Nightclub) attracted drivers with especially loud exhaust. It wasn't just arriving there. Most of the night they went up and down Broad St. From the 8th floor it was a problem. I imagine lower floors were noisier but we were on the front of the building overlooking the street, so the side or back might be fine. Consider this if you're here on a weekend. Master bedroom has a door into shared bathroom a second door opens to the sitting area. MBR has a full length mirror inside closet door. 2nd BR had no mirror at all. Toilet and shower have a door which separates it from the double basin sink. None of the bathroom doors have working locks. Overall it's a nice hotel. The breakfast was decent. They seem short handed. What they lack in getting things right the first time, they try to make up for with effusive (obsequious) apologies. For me that was a big turnoff. read more

The modern city hotel and bar are quite lovely. My only con is not enough options for high end wines or beer...that's too bad. Rooftop vibes! Came to the Hyatt Rooftop on a Friday evening after dinner for a drink and the view was pretty nice. The bar staff was pretty decent, but not the most friendly. I ordered a mixed cocktail with vodka and pineapple juice which was pretty good and my boyfriend ordered a glass of tequila. The vibe was pretty simple, not too many people on the rooftop and you can tell they don't clean up after guests too often but overall was a decent vibe. Might try it again. read more

We are staying at the downtown location. We usually have a great experience at the other one on wheeler road. It was booked so we tried our luck with the downtown location. Roaches, bad smells to say the least. I can't even have a good night after pulling back the sheets and seeing our 5th or 6th roach. This is enough, really in the bed this is unreal . There is not enough good things I could say about this hotel. I was in town last night into today for a meeting and this hotel was located in the best location in August Downtown area. I spoke with a few staff members at this hotel and they were super helpful and friendly. The hotel experience was just amazing from start to finish. I will breakdown each thing I enjoyed. My hotel room was very modern(since the hotel open a little less than a year ago), very clean, if you forgot your wall adapter the room had a ton of ones to pull into included the tv, and you felt like you were staying in a studio apartment much more than a hotel room. Breakfast was including with each room and started at 6:30am pretty from my early wake up for my meeting, the amount of options were so many including three types of milk with almond milk being one of them, the breakfast area was super clean, and I had my fill many times over. Parking was free if you wanted to pay in front on the street and $7 if you want to paying in the parking garage but that is much cheaper than any other hotel I had to pay for parking before. I will definitely be staying again at this hotel if I have another meeting in town sometime in the future! read more

This hole in the wall town is infested with with the most negative and discriminating people I've ever met across the lower 48. Where were all these rooftop bars when I lived in Augusta? The Hyatt House is located on Broad St in downtown Augusta. Parking on Broad can be tight on weekends, but we found a park on the street nearby. I didn't take much time to assess the Hotel itself as we were only visiting the rooftop bar. We arrived after 10pm on a Sat evening, so many of the sofas and tables w/ the best views were taken. We decided to grab a table inside and venture out to check out the view. In short, they've got an amazing view of downtown Augusta, and you can even see across the Savannah river over to SC. Great atmosphere to meet a group of friends and enjoy a few drinks under the stars. As expected, the drink prices are a bit more than your typical bar on Broad St. I would say the prices are fair for the environment and the amazing views from the top. We didn't order food so I can't comment on that. When I'm back in Augusta, I'll be revisiting and will update when I sample the food. read more

I'm giving 4 stars rather than 3 only because of the staff; they were friendly, hospitable, totally awesome! The lobby was nice as well as the bar area; however, I was not so impressed with the rooms... I like the decor; however, the pics that I saw (on several different websites), did not reflect our room really. We had a one bedroom suite; there was only one small, single window in the main area positioned in the upper corner of the room. The bedroom has a double window which made it a little brighter; however the pics online, show an open wall between the bedroom and the living area, which would have made the room living area a lot brighter. Instead, the living area is pretty dark as the wall was solid. With only one small window, (which is higher than shown online-it begins above the highest part of the sofa), the living area kind of seemed like a redecorated 'county facility'. Right when we walked in I called the desk and asked if there were any rooms with bigger windows and the staff said that all the rooms have the same sized windows... As many hotel rooms, this one had a door that can connect rooms. The door was did not block sounds from the next room. In the morning, I woke up to the sound of somebody Totally retching! OMG, (I'm in the room writing this review and the retching just started up again)! Anyway, upon trying to find a better place to stay for the next night, it doesn't appear that there are many and/or any better options within at least a 10 mile radius. But I'll keep checking cuz now the toilet doesn't appear to be draining... read more

I just returned from two weeks in the hotel, and as a veteran of 38 years travelling in the military, this is by far the best I have ever been treated at a hotel. Even with COVID protocols, the staff was so accommodating, friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The breakfast is awesome - some of the best food I had in a hotel. They are doing awesome despite the limitations they have because of COVID. The hotel is VERY clean; there was not one moment where I felt nervous about the sanitation level. The rooms are nice, clean and large. It's in a perfect location on the main drag, not too close to the noise, but close enough to walk anywhere you need to go. I didn't even get a rental car. Thanks for the great stay, and thanks for making me feel at home. I will be going back! read more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband due to an outpatient surgery at the University Hospital. I have to return again this Nov/Dec for an additional surgery and will definitely stay here again. The hotel was very nice from the front door/garage all the way up too our room. Parking was $7/night but very nice and spacious considering we have a large truck. The staff were very nice. Despite the mummy look I was rocking after my surgery, I just had to get out of my room. I went on a search for hot tea and Mr. Kenneth Graham was a nice as could be, complimenting me despite my obvious struggle! I'll see this team again later this year! Thank you! read more

II specifically requested a room as far away from noise and other guests as possible at this hotel in Augusta Georgia on a Thursday night when I guessed there would be few travelers, and I was right. I booked directly and paid full price for this room so that I could get the room I needed: A room without noise or distraction. However, while the hotel staff put me at the end of a hall, they put me in a room next to a group of young women with an adjoining door between us, and I could hear every word of their conversation throughout the evening. They were not loud, the building is just flimsy. When I called the front desk to ask if I could have another room, I was informed--repeatedly--that my options were the noise of the elevators or the noise of an adjoining guest. So just be aware if you come to Hyatt house in Augusta Georgia you will hear noise all night and you will be expected to be thankful for it. I could have purchased three rooms at the Red Roof Inn for the cost of this room. And next time I will. read more

I usually stay at the Marriott but decided to give the hotel a try after seeing discounted rates on Agoda. First benefit is the location. I was able to park (free parking) my car and walk to the area pubs pubs and restaurants. Secondly; the staff were very friendly. The addition of the bar, full breakfast, and restaurant. After been a long-standing customer at this particular Hyatt I am completely disappointed with the mangers there. My coworkers and I have stayed here many times over the past 2 years without any issues. Everyone was nice and knew us personally and treated us like family....that was until Masters week. I was booked for 3 weeks and the Masters was in the last week of my stay. That Monday I was told that my reservation didn't exist in their system and unless I was willing to pay the current rate (which by the way increase 10x what I was currently paying)that I had to leave. My biggest issue is that if my reservation didn't exist how did I check in and how was I billed for the 2 prior weeks? Needless to say I checked out without even one apology from anyone and was forced to find another hotel in the area. It's just mind blowing how I was treated and I hope this isn't the example that Hyatt lives by. read more
