They have a really good selection. Room was super comfy once I got the AC to shut off. Apparently, I slept straight through a wild thunderstorm that blew through in the middle of the night. I never heard a thing. Next morning, I rose like a rooster freshly restored and ready to take on the world . Don't sleep on TRU by Hilton. Give them a try.

The same employee who checked her in and personally handed her the room key later went to her room and began banging aggressively on the door. At the time, my wife was in the shower. She called out through the door that she was in the shower and could not open it. Despite this, the employee--James--continued to bang on the door and demanded that she open it to identify herself and provide her ID. This made no sense, as he already knew who she was and had just checked her in moments earlier. He persisted multiple times, insisting she open the door. This behavior terrified my wife. She felt unsafe, vulnerable, and unsure of what to do, especially as a woman alone in the room. I was on the phone with her during the incident and heard everything unfold in real time. Because of how unsafe she felt, my wife made the decision to leave the hotel and check out immediately. No guest--especially a woman staying alone--should ever be made to feel frightened or pressured like this by hotel staff. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will be contacting corporate to report this incident. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, and no one should ever be made to feel this way while staying at a hotel.

Like most hotels, this location also had a small gym and their equipment is pretty modern, especially their treadmills. The valet folks were friendly, everybody smiled, and for a moment I thought we might have stumbled onto one of those places where Southern hospitality still gets practiced instead of just printed on brochures. The inn itself has that old-school charm. The front porch alone looks like it has stories to tell, and most of them are probably better than the ones you'll hear at the average chain hotel breakfast buffet. The room was nice enough, though getting to it felt a little like a low-impact obstacle course. After stepping off the elevator, there were three steps to negotiate before reaching the room. No big deal. I shuffled the luggage and carried on. Then I discovered the room itself was split-level, complete with three more steps. That arrangement seemed perfectly reasonable until the 3 a.m. trip to the bathroom, when those same steps suddenly became an adventure sport. One suggestion: every room ought to have a proper nightstand and a place to charge the electronic gadgets that have become attached to modern Americans like an extra limb. We may not all travel with a typewriter anymore, but most of us carry enough electronics to launch a small satellite. Things got a little more interesting when hunger arrived. We tried to make restaurant reservations through the Resy link on the hotel's website. No luck. The restaurant wasn't listed. Fine. Technology fails. It happens. So I called the restaurant. No answer. Turns out the restaurant number appears to be the same as the front desk. I left a message and waited about 45 minutes for a callback. Never got one. Again, no big deal. DoorDash and an Indian restaurant came to the rescue. While pondering the mystery of the missing callback, I found myself staring out the window. That's when I noticed the paint splatters and streaks all over the glass. Now, I don't know who handles maintenance around there, but somebody needs to explain that painting a window and cleaning a window are two entirely different activities. And that's really the story of the Partridge Inn. Nice people. Pleasant room. Plenty of charm. But charm can only carry you so far when attention to detail keeps missing the bus. The little things matter because they add up. The unanswered phone, the broken reservation link, the paint on the windows, the awkward room layout--they're all small by themselves. Together, they're enough to make me appreciate the stay but probably not enough to make me come back for another one.

We called back in February to confirm reservations again, only to learn that "the manager had canceled our reservations 3 days" later without any outreach or communication because "they felt like they didn't charge us enough". We would have flown from California to Augusta and had no room. They still had available rooms but would not honor the reservation rate that we booked. Very unethical and dishonest. We spoke with Michelle and she basically said either pay the new sky high rates or stay somewhere else. She confirmed that other people's reservations were also canceled and they will probably show up and need to pay much more (if they even have any more rooms remaining by then). So much for southern hospitality.

I've been coming here for years, and I've always had a great time, this is my last time visiting…read more The morning after I checked in, the hotel had to do plumbing work in the room next to me. All of a sudden, all of the feces from the toilet next-door starts shooting out of drain of my shower. So what did the hotel do? They've moved me from my very nice room, to an old outdated room with junk yard furniture. When I go to get into bed, I pull back the comforter, and there is a feces stain on the sheet. I just told the front desk, and the lady was very nice, and said she felt sad that I am not enjoying my stay. That was it. She did not even offer to bring me clean sheets for that shit stained bed that they gave me. This is absolutely disgusting. I want to just leave and go home, but they have a three night minimum and money is a lot more important to them than customer service.
